Tuesday 5th December – Creating Festive E-cards

You will design and create your own festive e-card. You will tailor your e-card with a personal message, photos or pictures, to make it even more special. This course is aimed at people who already have some basic digital know-how and want to improve their digital skills by creating their own festive e-card. Wednesday 6th December – Interview Skills

This workshop will cover the interview process and the information you will need for online interviews. The skills learnt could also be applied in face to face interviews. This is for anyone who would like to learn more about how to prepare and attend interviews online. Monday 15th January – Introduction to Microsoft

This five week online workshop will introduce you to the basic skills that you need to use Microsoft Excel, whether it’s for work or personal use. In this workshop you will learn: The parts of an Excel spreadsheet, formatting data, which includes adjusting column widths, wrapping text, aligning text, merging cells and formatting numbers and text. Mondays, starting 15th January – Hand-made Fabric Flowers

During this five-week course you will be breathing new life into your old clothes/bedding by turning them into fabric flowers that can be framed, made into brooches, or even attached to hair bands. This course is aimed at those who want to explore how to be sustainable and turn old clothes/fabric into fabric flowers which can be used to decorate a wide number of items. Mondays from 9.45am – 11.45am. You will learn how to use basic jewellery making tools and materials to design and create your own piece of jewellery. During each session a different piece of jewellery will be made including necklaces, earrings, brooches and bracelets. Coming up with a business idea and starting a business can seem overwhelming and complicated. There are so many things you must consider. Fridays, starting 1st March – Family Phonics

This course is designed to help adults understand what ‘phonics’ is and how phonics is taught in school from age 3-7 yrs old. They will explain different Phonics terms such as ‘digraph’ and ‘segmenting’. You will learn about the six phases of phonics and what aspects are taught in each phase through engaging, interactive activities. Learners will find out about the Phonics Screening check in Year One and will be given ideas and resources to enable them to develop children’s reading and writing skills through phonics.
