Saturday 2nd December – Food and Craft Market

Local and national traders selling a wide range of produce, gifts, crafts and much more. Hot and cold food stalls from your favourite regular traders as well as guest food stalls. Saturday from 10am – 4pm. Every first and third Saturday of the month.

These fun, half hour sessions of songs, rhymes, drawing and colouring in are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are an opportunity for you to meet other families too. Saturday 2nd December – Reading Friends

Reading Friends is a place to talk about books, share stories and make new friends. Meeting on the first Saturday of each month from 2pm – 3pm. Sessions are free to join and open to everyone. No booking needed. At Welwyn Community Library, Civic Centre, Prospect Place, Welwyn, AL6 9ER.


Saturday 2nd December – Christmas Fayre

Brookmans Park Christmas Fayre will have Christmas gifts, books, skincare and jewellery and more. Saturday 2nd December from 2pm – 5pm. At Brookmans Park Primary School, Bradmore Way, Brookmans Park, Hatfield, AL9 7QY.


Sunday 3rd December – The Peculiar Market

The Peculiar Market with over 20 traders and vendors specialising in gothic, alternative and steampunk art, decor, jewellery, clothing and more. Sunday 3rd December from 11.30am – 4pm. At Woodhall Community Centre, Mill Green Road, Welwyn Garden City, AL7 3XD.


Monday 4th December – Craftea Morning

Join this craft group every Monday morning from 10am – 12 noon, a chance to meet other crafters and chat over a cup of tea or coffee. Everyone is welcome, just bring along your current craft project and join in. This is a great informal group where you can relax, enjoy good conversation and pick up a few hints and tips. The highly-acclaimed Campus West Panto is coming to a forest near you. Approximate running time: 2hrs 30 mins including a twenty minute interval. Join heroic archer, Maid Marion, and their merry band of outlaws in Sherwood Forest as they fight back against the dastardly, money grabbing Sheriff of Nottingham. Saturday 9th December – A Very Merry Christmas

With a dazzling array of arts, crafts, seasonal treats, and locally sourced goods, this market promises to be a one-stop-shop for all your holiday shopping needs. From handcrafted ornaments to unique artisanal gifts, you will find the perfect treasures to make your holiday unforgettable. This enchanting holiday event will take place on Saturday 9th December from 10am – 3pm at The Commons, Welwyn Garden City, AL7 4AA.


Sunday 10th December – Lights of Love

Open to all, this family-friendly service is a chance to come together with others in the community as you remember the lives of those who are no longer with us, and celebrate the wonderful times you shared with them. This event is free to enter and no booking is required.

Attendees to this event are encouraged to arrive at 4pm, allowing ample time to partake in family-friendly activities and savour a cup of hot chocolate or mince pie. The event, commencing at 5pm, boasts a programme comprising music, readings, and reflective moments, culminating in a breath-taking display of silent fireworks over the lake. The primary and largest Lights of Love service is set to take place at Mill Green Golf Club, Gypsy Lane, Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City, AL7 4TY, on Sunday 10th December from 4pm – 7pm.

Sunday 17th December – TrackPlay

A fun and entertaining time for kids who love trains. With over 500 feet of Track and over 100 Thomas and his friends trains to choose from. Kids will be raving about the experience for a long time .
