Monday 21st July – Craftea Morning
Join this craft group every Monday morning from 10am – 12 noon, a chance to meet other crafters and chat over a cup of tea or coffee. Everyone is welcome, just bring along your current craft project and join in. This is a great informal group where you can relax, enjoy good conversation and pick up a few hints and tips. At Welwyn Garden City Central Library, Campus West, AL8 6AJ.

Monday 21st July – Storytime
Join Welwyn Garden City Library, Campus West AL8 6AJ, for Storytime, every Monday from 2.15pm – 2.45pm, in the children’s area of the Library. They will share a selection of books and rhymes at each session. Perfect for under 5’s, no booking needed. These are free session but donations are welcome.

Tuesday 22nd July – Quiz Night
Paper and Pen Quiz at the Two Willows, Howardsgate, Welwyn Garden City, AL8 6AL. Tuesdays from 8pm. Until the end of the year.

Thursday 24th July – Physical Fun
A fun, active session where you can meet other local families and enjoy lots of fun games and play opportunities to support your child with their physical development. Thursdays from 10am – 11am. £2.50 per family drop in, pay on the day. At Panshanger Church, 24 Hardings, Welwyn Garden City, AL7 2EJ.

Thursday 24th July – Baby Rhyme Time
Fun, half hour sessions of songs and rhymes are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are a great opportunity for you to meet other families too. Baby Rhyme Time is free though donations are welcomed. No booking required. Every Thursday from 10.30am – 11am and 2.30pm – 3pm. At Welwyn Garden City Central Library, Campus West AL8 6AJ.

Thursday 24th July – Brush Party

Saturday 26th July – Herts Archaeology Fair
Herts Archaeology Fair will take place at Welwyn Roman Baths, Welwyn By Pass Road, Welwyn, AL6 9FG, Saturday 26th July. All welcome. Family friendly and a great day out for all. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Welwyn Roman Baths, this event will feature, A new display, Welwyn Roman Baths: 50 Years Uncovered, talks given by Dr. Kris Lockyear, chairman of Welwyn Archaeological Society and Senior Lecturer at UCL, stalls from societies, groups and museums from all over Hertfordshire. Sunday 27th July – Car Boot Sale
Welwyn Garden City car boot sale every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday until the last Sunday in October. At Stanborough Fields (formerly Birchwood sale) on A6129, road between Birchwood and Stanborough, nearest post code, AL8 6DF then follow the signs.

Saturday 2nd August – Food and Craft Market
Local and national traders selling a wide range of produce, gifts, crafts and much more. Hot and cold food stalls from your favourite regular traders as well as guest food stalls. Saturday from 10am – 4pm. Every first and third Saturday of the month. At Welwyn Garden City Town Centre.

Saturday 2nd August – Reading Friends
A social group where you can talk about books, share stories and make new friends. Free to join, no booking needed. Donations welcome. Running on the first Saturday of every month, 2pm – 3pm. At Welwyn Garden City Central Library, Campus West, AL8 6AJ.

Tuesday 5th August – Children’s Summer Garden Party
A fun-filled day your little ones will love, with Arts and crafts, face painting, bubble station, lawn and ball games, play area adventures, music and dancing. Children’s meals from £5.29. At The Bakehouse, Bessemer Road, Welwyn Garden City, AL7 1HH. Tuesday 5th August from 12 noon – 4pm.

Friday 15th August – VJ Day Commemoration
A fantastic afternoon coming together to mark Victory over Japan Day. Bring your family, friends, and picnic blankets for a fun and community celebration. There will be activities for kids, and a great atmosphere on Friday 15th August from 12 noon – 3pm. At Welwyn Playing Fields, Ottway Walk. Hosted by Welwyn Parish Council.

Saturday 13th September – St Peter’s Church: Open Day
St Peter’s Church, Ayot St Peter Road, Welwyn, AL6 9BG, beautiful church is open every year for the Heritage Open Day scheme and is traditionally decorated for the Harvest Festival Service, which takes place the following day. They will be selling delicious home-made preserves in aid of both their church and the Hertfordshire Air Ambulance. Saturday 13th September from 10am – 5pm.

Saturday 11th October – Vegan Market
Welwyn Garden City Vegan Market event takes over Stonehill’s Square, right in the centre of the town (between John Lewis and the Howard Centre). The event brings together a huge variety of vegan street food vendors, artisan bakers, craft brewers, ethical jewellers, sustainable chandlers, local artists, zero-waste champions, environmental charities and loads more. Saturday 25th October – The History of Rock
A must see for any fan of rock. Experience this iconic music brought back to life by an exceptional band consisting of some of the finest musicians and performers from around the world. Taking audiences on a thrilling ride through the history of rock, turning the spotlight on Led Zeppelin, as they headline the ultimate rock concert line-up the world has ever seen. IT Champions offer one-to-one support, problem-solving, and online safety advice for users of the library computers and WiFi. Every Saturday from 10am – 12 noon, at Welwyn Garden City Central Library, Campus West, Welwyn Garden City, AL8 6AJ.

Wednesday 21st January – An Evening With Arsenal Legends
With over 500 appearances in the red and white between them, these four icons, Paul Merson, Perry Groves, Charlie Nicholas, and Alan Smith, will take the stage for a night of unforgettable football stories and behind-the-scenes revelations.
