Wednesday 1st May – Royston Outdoor Market

Royston Market Square, Market Hill, Royston, SG8 9JU, is on every Wednesday and Saturday 7.30am – 2pm.


Wednesday 1st May – Baby Rhyme Time

These fun, half hour sessions of songs and rhymes are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are a great opportunity for you to meet other families too. Every Wednesday from 10.15am – 10.45am and 11.15am – 11.45am. At Royston Library, Market Hill, Royston, SG8 9JN.


Friday 3rd May – Storytime

Listen to a story and have fun with a colouring activity. Every Friday at 2pm. Suitable for 2–5 year olds. At Royston Library, Market Hill, Royston, SG8 9JN.


Friday 3rd May – LEGO Club

Each week will have a theme but if your child enjoys free play, that’s fine too. Children of 8 years and under must have an adult with them at all times. Fridays from 4pm – 5pm at Buntingford Library, 77 High Street, Buntingford, SG9 9AE.


Saturday 4th May – Royston Coffee Morning

Come along to this weekly Royston Coffee Morning meeting Saturdays from 10am – 11.30am, at Royston Parish Church. All welcome.


Sunday 5th May – Craft Fair

Pop along for some unique crafts and gift ideas. First Sunday of the month from 10am – 2pm. At Market Hill Rooms Fish Hill, Royston, SG8 9JL.


Sunday 5th May – Family Open Day

A fun packed day including a craft corner, music and BBQ. Sunday 5th May from 12 noon, at Buntingford and District Social Club, Church Street, Buntingford, SG9 9AS.


Sunday 5th – Monday 6th May – Royston Bowling Club: Open Days

A sport for all the family. They have bowlers of all ages at Royston Bowling Club. Open days are Sunday 5th and Monday 6th May from 10am – 1pm. Flat shoes required. Come and have a try for free. All equipment provided.


Tuesday 7th May – Code Club

Join this six week club introducing you to scratch and coding principles. At Royston Library, Market Hill, Royston, SG8 9JN. Starts Tuesday 7th May from 4.15pm – 5.15pm.


Wednesday 8th May – Royston Rotary Memory Cafe

Royston Rotary Memory Cafe meets every second Wednesday of the month from 10am – 12 noon. Providing support to folks with memory loss and their carers. Enjoy friendship, fun and games at Coombes Community Centre, Burns Road, Royston, SG8 5PT.


Saturday 11th May – LEGO Club for Children

LEGO Club for Children at Royston Library, Market Hill, Royston, SG8 9JN. Second Saturday of each month from 2pm – 3pm. Places are limited, book at the library.


Sunday 12th May – Ashwell at Home

Ashwell at Home is an annual fundraising event held in the village of Ashwell in north Herts, when this beautiful and historic village welcomes visitors from near and far for a whole day of entertainment. The theme for 2024 is ‘Hidden Ashwell’ and there will be lots to see and do including a wide range of open gardens of all types and sizes, free workshops for adults and children, plant sales, live music and entertainment around the village, talks, displays and guided walks, refreshments, lunches and much more. Ashwell is in North Hertfordshire, near Junction 10 of the A1(M) SG7 5NY. Monday 13th May – Chatty Cafe

The Kooky Nohmad, 42 High Street, Royston, SG8 9AG, have joined The Chatty Café Scheme the UK’s leading non-profit organisation tackling loneliness. Face to face meet ups where venues offer Chatter and Natter tables, where customers can get together and chat. Many tables are hosted by Chatty Table Volunteers. Come and support this on Mondays from 12 noon – 1.30pm.


Thursday 30th May – Tiny Mites Music Presents: Cave Girl

With engaging puppets, original songs, lots of interaction and great dance moves to join in with, this production of Cave Girl will be a fun experience for children aged 1-10 and their families.
