Wednesday 22nd April – Royston Outdoor Market

Royston Market Square, Market Hill, Royston, SG8 9JR. Royston Country Market sells home produced cakes, pies, biscuits, savouries, ready meals, marmalade, jams, chutneys, apple juice and eggs. Seasonal vegetables, fruits and plants. Every Wednesday and Saturday morning.


Wednesday 22nd April – Walking Football

Come and join this friendly Walking football Group on Wednesday mornings from 11am – 12 noon at Coombes Community Centre, Burns Road, Royston, SG8 5PT. £5 per session. First session free. Pop in to see experts at this valuation day at Hansons Hertfordshire, The Powerhouse, Lumen Road, Royston, SG8 7AG. The friendly experts will be happy to provide you with a free valuation of your Jewellery, Watches, Silver, Coins, Wine & Whiskey, Toys, Collectables, Antiques, Fine Art and more. Every Friday from 10am – 1pm, until the end of the year.

Friday 24th April – Music for an April Evening

Featuring students from St Edmunds College, director of music Andrew O’Brien is bringing a group of talented young musicians to entertain you with a variety of solo and ensemble works. Please bring cash to purchase drinks as WiFi in the church is unreliable. Donations to Isabel Hospice will be gratefully received on the evening. Bring a cushion as the benches can be a little hard. The Royston Country Market is on Saturday from 9am – 11am, High Street, Royston, SG89AA. Come along and support local crafters, bakers and growers


Saturday 25th April – Royston Coffee Morning

Come along to this weekly Royston Coffee Morning meeting Saturdays from 10am – 11.30am, at Royston Parish Church. All welcome.


Saturday 25th April – Lego Club

Come along for fun challenges that build problem solving skills, spatial awareness, and creative thinking. Suitable for children aged 5-11 years old. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. At Royston Library, Market Hill, Royston, SG8 9JN. Places are limited so please book at the library. Saturdays from 2pm – 3pm.


Sunday 26th April – Junior Parkrun

A free, fun, and friendly weekly 2k event for juniors 4-14 year olds. The event takes place at Norfolk Road Playing Fields, Bowling Green Lane, Buntingford, SG9 9TA. Every Sunday from 9am, every week they grab a post parkrun coffee at Buntingford Coffee Shop. For further information click here


Sunday 26th April – Free Mulch Giveaway

Free mulch giveaway event on Therfield Heath, a brilliant chance to pick up some locally sourced mulch while supporting conservation work on the Heath. Behind Royston Golf Club, Baldock Road, Royston, SG8 5BG. Please bring along your own bags, buckets or barrows. Ellie the Ranger for Therfield Heath will be there to shovel and load your cars if you need help. The Friends of Therfield Heath will also be there on the day to help and take any donations you would like to give in return for the mulch. Any donations will make their way back to the maintaining and improving the Heath for everyone to enjoy. Sunday 26th April from 10am – 2pm.

Saturday 2nd May – Coffee and Chat

Join Samantha and Elisa for a coffee and craft morning, where you can bring your latest project, enjoy a cuppa, and connect with fellow craft enthusiasts. Whether you knit, crochet, paint, or enjoy any other craft, this is the perfect opportunity to get creative while socialising in a friendly and welcoming space. Sunday 3rd May – Antiques and Vintage Fair

Popular Antiques and Vintage Fair where you will find around 20 stalls brimming with antiques, collectables, and vintage treasures, perfect for dealers, television and film prop professionals, collectors, and visitors alike. From Clarice Cliff, Crown Derby and Moorcroft ceramics to glassware and jewellery, there is an impressive variety of high-quality items on offer. £1 admission fee, children free. Parking. First Wednesday of the month from 8pm – 11pm, an open mic at The Old Bull Inn, 56 High Street, Royston SG8 9AW.


Sunday 10th May – Farmers and Craft Market

Discover a wonderful new market in the charming village of Cottered, nestled right next to Buntingford. Indoor and outdoor stalls brimming with creativity. A beautiful village park just steps away, perfect for families. Sunday 10th May from 10am – 2pm. At Cottered Village Hall, Buntingford.


Sunday 10th May – Dog Show

Join Layston Grove care home, Keen Avenue, Buntingford, SG9 9SU, for this dog show. All proceeds will go to RATS Animal Rescue. Entries from 1pm, show will start at 2pm on Sunday 10th May.


Monday 11th May – Dementia Carers Coffee Morning

Dementia Carers Coffee Morning, a safe and welcoming space for anyone supporting a loved one living with dementia. Meet with Lauren from Unique Techniques, who will be on hand to offer advice, guidance, and support to families and carers who may need help caring for relatives with dementia. Share experiences with others who understand. Enjoy a chat in a calm, supportive environment. Coffee and cakes will be available. Sunday 17th May – Spring Fayre Garden Sale

Spring fayre garden sale raffle, children games and refreshments, on Sunday 17th May from 12 noon – 3pm, at Litlington village hall, Meeting Lane, Litlington, Royston, SG8 0QF.


Saturday 30th May – Board Games

1st Royston Scout HQ, Barkway Street, Royston, SG8 9EW, are hosting their March board games meet up on Saturday 30th May from 12 noon – 6pm. Adult: £5 entry. under 18: £5 entry, family discount, one child free per paying adult. Fees are split between the Scout Group for hall hire and the board games cafe to purchase new games. There will be a range of cans and snacks available from our tuck shop too.


Saturday 7th November – Farmers and Gift Market

Come along for a magical day at this Christmas Farmers and Gift Market, where the festive spirit comes alive. With over 35 unique artisan stalls, you will discover handcrafted gifts and delicious local produce you will not find on the high street. Saturday 7th November from 10am – 3pm, at Seth Ward Community Centre, Buntingford, SG9 9SG.
