Tuesday 12th May – Jigsaw and Cards

Wednesday 13th May – Royston Outdoor Market
Royston Market Square, Market Hill, Royston, SG8 9JR. Royston Country Market sells home produced cakes, pies, biscuits, savouries, ready meals, marmalade, jams, chutneys, apple juice and eggs. Seasonal vegetables, fruits and plants. Every Wednesday and Saturday morning.

Thursday 14th May – Hertfordshire’s Notorious Witches
For centuries, people accused of witchcraft in England were persecuted, and Hertfordshire is no exception. Join Hertfordshire Libraries at Royston Library, Market Hill, Royston, SG8 9JN, for Hertfordshire’s Notorious Witches, an illustrated talk from Hertfordshire Archives And Local Studies exploring the lives and cases of some of the county’s most infamous accused witches. From Jane Wenham, one of the last people to be condemned to death for witchcraft in the country, to Joan of Navarre, Queen of England, there is plenty of plotting and intrigue to explore. Sunday 17th May – Junior Parkrun

Thursday 28th May – History Talk
The Buntingford Local History Group will be giving a talk about the History of Buntingford Library as part of the 100 Years celebration and Explore Your Archives and Local History Month. Thursday 28th May from 2pm – 3pm, at Buntingford Library, High Street, Buntingford, SG9 9AE. This is a free event, refreshments included. Register at the library.

Saturday 30th May – Board Games
1st Royston Scout HQ, Barkway Street, Royston, SG8 9EW, are hosting their March board games meet up on Saturday 30th May from 12 noon – 6pm. Adult: £5 entry. under 18: £5 entry, family discount, one child free per paying adult. Fees are split between the Scout Group for hall hire and the board games cafe to purchase new games. There will be a range of cans and snacks available from our tuck shop too.

Wednesday 3rd June – Royston Rocks Open Mic

Monday 8th June – Dementia Carers Coffee Morning
Dementia Carers Coffee Morning, a safe and welcoming space for anyone supporting a loved one living with dementia. Meet with Lauren from Unique Techniques, who will be on hand to offer advice, guidance, and support to families and carers who may need help caring for relatives with dementia. Share experiences with others who understand. Enjoy a chat in a calm, supportive environment. Coffee and cakes will be available. Friday 12th June – Country Line Dancing Night
Raw Theatre Productions brings you a country and western night with line dancing at its heart. Whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned dancer, everyone’s welcome. Sunday 19th July – Octa Ride: BikeFest
No matter what you ride, you are welcome at BikeFest. Whether you are on a sports bike, chopper, adventure bike, café racer, motocross bike, or anything in between, this is your place to meet, ride, and celebrate the biking community. This year’s event will feature an FMX stunt show, a mini skate ramp with professional skaters, live music throughout the day, and much more, offering something for both dedicated riders and families alike. The biker parking area is completely free, so riders can park up, check out the incredible machines on display, and connect with fellow bikers. Saturday 1st August – Summer Craft Fair
Come for a wonderful day at this Summer Craft Fair at The Woodman Inn in Nuthampstead, SG8 8NB on Saturday 1st August from 10am to 4pm. Enjoy a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere filled with beautiful handmade gifts including jewellery, garden ornaments, home décor and so much more. It is the perfect opportunity to discover something special while supporting local makers. Dogs are welcome, so bring your furry friends along too. Refreshments and food will be available inside the pub, with hot drinks and sweet treats served outside.
