Sunday 21st July – Sunday 1st September – Murder at the Mill

Murder at the Mill will be running Thursdays – Sundays throughout the summer holidays (21st July – 1st September). Friday 26th July – Baby Rhyme Time

These fun, half hour sessions of songs and rhymes are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are an opportunity for you to meet other families too.  Every Friday from 10.30am – 11am and 11.30am – 12 noon, at Hatfield Library, White Lion Square, 26-32 Town Centre, Hatfield, AL10 0LD.


Saturday 27th July – Dreamcatchers

Work together to create your own dreamcatcher at Hatfield Library, White Lion Square, Hatfield, AL10 0LD. Saturday 27th July from 12 noon – 1.30pm. You can book your place at the library, ideal for ages 5-11.


Saturday 27th – Sunday 28th July – Craft Fair

A weekend celebrating local creativity at this Arts and Craft Fair. Explore a diverse range of handcrafted treasures, including home crafts, jams and chutneys, wooden and glass items, jewellery, paintings, and much more. Admission is free, come along and be inspired by the creativity of local craftspeople. Saturday 27th – Sunday 28th July from 10am – 4pm. Saturday 3rd August – Farmers and Craft Market

Saturday 3rd August – Book Swap

Saturday 3rd August – Craftnoon Tea

Join Splodgers Arts and Crafts for an unforgettable self-led art and craft workshop, where the only limits are those imposed by your imagination. Their Crafternoon Tea event is ‘Flower Jar Candle Holder’ where you can enjoy a fun afternoon with family or friends, indulging in a delicious Afternoon Tea while creating a beautiful pressed flowers jar candle holder. The workshop includes a selection of filled rolls, delightful savoury snacks, and delicious sweet treats, all accompanied by a pot of Rare Tea, with the option to upgrade to a glass of Prosecco. Monday 5th August – Quiz Night

These monthly quiz nights are held on the first Monday of every month from 8pm, at The Red Lion, 88 Great North Road, Hatfield, AL9 5EU. With several rounds of trivia and a picture round, their quiz master will get your brains itching. Teams are a maximum of 6. Booking is not essential but is advised to avoid disappointment.


Wednesday 7th – Friday 30th August – Summer Activity Camp

Join Herts Sports Village for some sporty fun and games at their summer Holiday Camp at Hertfordshire Sports Village, De Havilland Campus, Mosquito Way, Hatfield, AL10 9EU. Saturday 10th August – Firework Champions

Join Firework Champions with family and friends to witness the best firework displays you will ever see, perfectly set to music. Three of the UK’s best companies will battle it out to win the title where you the audience choose the winner by text voting that very evening. A larger fourth finale display will close the evening. Tuesday 13th August – Community Fair

Hatfield Community Fair is at White Lion Square, Town Centre, Watford, on the Tuesday 13th August from 11am. At the fair, you will have the opportunity to connect with local businesses, organisations, charities and more. Plus there will be free activities such as a climbing wall, face painting, BMX pump track and entertainment from the Electric Umbrella.


Friday 16th August – Dave Collison’s Roy Orbison Tribute

Sunday 23rd August – Family Charity Day

Come along to this charity family fun day. An afternoon and evening full of fun, 0games, prizes, food and lots more. Throughout the day it will be full of activities and then come evening an amazing auction. Profits will be going to Teenage cancer trust and Chrysalis. Saturday 21st September – Hatfield Community Event

Join Hatfield Town Council at White Lion Square in Hatfield Town Centre on Saturday 21st September from 11am – 4pm, for Hatfield Town Council’s Community Event. This family-focused community day will include a variety of stalls from different cultures selling high-quality goods and produce, foods, games, arts and crafts. There will be a range of interactive family entertainment for all ages, including face painting, an immersive photobooth experience, engaging performances, local information, and activity stations.


Sunday 29th September – Wedding Fair

A spectacular Wedding Fair held in the historic Old Palace and contemporary Riding School at Hatfield House, Hatfield Park, Hatfield, AL9 5HX. As well as up to sixty leading wedding professionals from Hertfordshire and beyond, this unique and long running Wedding Fair often also includes masterclasses on wedding related topics. Whilst part of the Old Palace will be decorated and dressed for a wedding offering you an insight and inspiration.

There are fashion shows at 12:30pm and 2pm featuring the very latest bridal and couture gowns. Knowledgeable staff from Hatfield House Hospitality will be available to discuss your wedding ideas and to offer tips and advice.
