Colouring Club for adults at Hatfield Library, White Lion Square, Hatfield, AL10 0LD. Materials supplied or bring your own. Drop in, no need to book. Every Wednesday from 1pm – 3pm.
Saturday 26th July – Teddy Bears Picnic
Bring your favourite teddy and join Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council for a Teddy Bears Picnic at White Lion Square, Hatfield Town Centre. Enjoy a summers day in Hatfield Town Centre with their storyteller and snap a memorable photo at the Paddington Bear photo opportunity. Parents and guardians are encouraged to bring mats/blankets and a packed lunch, while little ones should bring their beloved teddies for a day of cuddly fun. Saturday 26th July from 11am – 2pm.
Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July – Summer Craft Fair
A wonderful weekend of creativity at this Summer Craft Fair on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July from 10am – 4pm. Explore a fantastic selection of stalls from talented local artists and crafters, offering a beautiful range of handmade goodies, unique gifts, and artisan crafts. From handcrafted jewellery and home décor to delicious homemade treats, there is something for everyone. At Dutch Marketplace, Great North Road, Brookmans Park, AL9 6ND. Saturday 2nd August – Book Swap

Monday 4th August – Quiz Night
These monthly quiz nights are held on the first Monday of every month from 8pm, at The Red Lion, 88 Great North Road, Hatfield, AL9 5EU. With several rounds of trivia and a picture round, their quiz master will get your brains itching. Teams are a maximum of 6. Booking is not essential but is advised to avoid disappointment
Tuesday 5th August – Coffee Morning
Coffee morning on the first Tuesday of every month from 10.30am – 12.30pm at the Community Room, ASDA, Town Centre, Hatfield, AL10 0JP.
Wednesday 6th August – Quiz Night
Hatfield Social Club, Great North Road, Hatfield, AL9 5ER, first quiz night will be on Wednesday 6th August starting at 7.30pm. It will be £2 per person and you can have a maximum of 6 people in your team.
Saturday 9th August – Fire station: Open Day
Hatfield Fire Station Open Day, Wellfield Road, Hatfield, AL10 0DA, is on Saturday 9th August from 10am – 3pm. With food stalls, safety advice, look around a fire engine and more.
Tuesday 12th August – Hatfield Community Fair
This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with your community, learn about local services, and have a great time with family and friends. Best of all, it is free. Tuesday 12th August from 11am – 3pm. At White Lion Square, Hatfield Town Centre.
Friday 12th September – Stately Live
Stately Live is a spectacular visual event with a ‘mini festival’ atmosphere and amazing music. Saturday 13th September – Hatfield House Firework Champions
Prepare for an unforgettable night at the iconic Firework Champions event at Hatfield House, Hatfield AL9 5HX. Watch three of the UK’s top firework companies go head-to-head, lighting up the night sky with breath-taking displays set to music. Each team will showcase their unique artistry and choreography, competing to win the audience’s vote for the best show of the night.
The evening features: 4 Spectacular Firework Displays – 3 dazzling competition displays plus a larger grand finale. Drone Show – An exclusive display by DroneSwarm. Saturday 1st November – Firework Night
Essendon Country Club, Bedwell Avenue, Essendon, Hatfield, AL9 6HN, will be hosting their 2025 Firework Night on Saturday 1st November. Gates will be open at 4pm and the firework display will be at around 6.30pm. Full details and tickets will be released nearer to the time.
