Get Online Week sees another in the series of PSCO drop in surgeries. This is at Hatfield Library, White Lion Square, Hatfield, AL10 0LD, on Friday 18th October from 11am – 1pm.
Saturday 19th October – Book Swap
Come and join this book swap, where you can swap a book and enjoy some refreshments. Every first and third Saturday of the month from 10am- 12 noon. At North Mymms Memorial Hall, Station Road, Welham Green, Hatfield, AL9 7PG.
Thursday 31st October – Kids Halloween Disco
Grab your best creepy costumes and head over to The Red Lion this Halloween at 88 Great North Road, Hatfield, AL9 5EU. They will have tonnes of games and activities to keep your little ones occupied. Tickets will include food and a drink for each child. Thursday 31st October from 3pm – 6pm.
Saturday 2nd – Sunday 3rd November – Herts Festive Gift Show
Hertfordshire Sports Village, Hatfield Business Park Park Office, De Havilland Campus, Mosquito Way, Hatfield AL10 9EU, The huge carpeted sports hall will be full to the rafters with inspirational ideas and gifts for all your friends and family. This is a shopping experience you will not find on the high street, it will be full of unique items. So if it is that special gift for a loved one, something for your home, a festive treat or some great stocking fillers, it will all be here under one roof. Gifts, homewares, clothing, appliances, pet gifts, art, crafts, alcohol, festive food and delicious drinks. Tickets will be on sale nearer the time. Saturday 2nd – Sunday 3rd November.
Sunday 3rd November – Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club
Open to all those who served, or who are still serving in HM Armed Forces. They meet on the first Sunday of each month from 10am. At Harpsfield Hall, Parkhouse Court, Hatfield, AL10 9RQ.
Monday 4th November – Quiz Night
These monthly quiz nights are held on the first Monday of every month from 8pm, at The Red Lion, 88 Great North Road, Hatfield, AL9 5EU. With several rounds of trivia and a picture round, their quiz master will get your brains itching. Teams are a maximum of 6. Booking is not essential but is advised to avoid disappointment.
Wednesday 6th November – Move Yourself To Better Health
Drop in to Hatfield Library, White Lion Square, Hatfield, AL10 0LD, for the next in a series of active advice sessions. Wednesday 6th November from 10.30am – 11.30am. Next 4th December.
Saturday 9th November – Code a Drone
Come and fly the library drone. Can you code it to complete the challenges? A fun family learning experience, booking is essential from the library as they have limited family/group tickets. Sunday 10th November – Remembrance Day Concert
Join St Etheldreda’s Church, 2 Fore Street, Hatfield, AL9 5AL, on Sunday 10th November from 5pm for a concert of contemplative music given by our excellent musicians, culminating in a performance of Gabriel Fauré’s well-known setting of the Requiem. Entrance is free. There will be a retiring collection in aid of The Royal British Legion and church funds.
Tuesday 12th November – SEND Walk in Advice

Wednesday 13th November – Herford Astronomy Group
Your local astronomy club for Hertford, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, St Albans and surrounding area. A Friendly group of people with a common interest in astronomy. A monthly meeting at the University of Hertfordshire, Lindop Building, College Lane, Hatfield, AL10 9AB. They broadcast it live on Zoom for those unable to get to the University and they also publish the meetings on YouTube (subject to the speaker’s consent). Sunday 1st December – Christmas at the Watermill
Learn all about Christmas in the recent past, play some old fashioned games and take part in children’s activities, such as print your own wrapping paper. Help Father Christmas mill enough flour for all the world’s mince pies and visit Mrs Christmas’ kitchen to help bake the Christmas treats.
