Thursday 19th September – Knit and Natter
Casual meet up of people to do knitting or crochet while having a natter along the way. Refreshments available and donations welcomed. Thursdays from 10am – 11am, at Oxhey Library, Bridlington Road, South Oxhey, WD19 7AG.
Thursday 19th September – Baby Group
Meet other families with young babies in a supportive, stimulating and friendly environment. During the free 90 minute session there will be time for babies to play, discover more about their development and support your wellbeing as a new parent. Thursdays from 10.30am – 12 noon. Thursday 19th September – Computers and a Cuppa
Communities 1st Digital Champions will be at Bushey Library, Sparrows Herne, WD23 1FA, on Thursdays from 12 noon – 2pm, with their Computers and a Cuppa session. No need to book, just drop in.
Saturday 21st September – ParkPlay
ParkPlay is a two-hour long play session of fun and games for everyone every Saturday morning from 10am. At Warren Dell Primary School, Gosforth Lane, Watford Rural, WD19 7UZ. Activities are relaxed enough to attract the shy and less confident, but structured enough to reassure.
Saturday 21st September – Table Top Sale
Lots of bargains, homemade gifts, quality second hand, cakes and refreshments. Free entry – all welcome. At All Saints Church, Gosforth Lane, WD19 7AX. Saturday 21st September from 10.30am – 12.30pm.
Saturday 21st September – Saturday Singing Circle
This great group supporting those living with dementia, meet every Saturday afternoon from 2pm – 4pm. At The Clitheroe Centre, Clitheroe Gardens, South Oxhey, WD19 6RP. With songs and memory games and refreshments.
Tuesday 24th September – Active Rhyme Time
A 45 minute session of free fun, active rhymes and songs for your baby and toddler. A great way to meet other families and develop your child‘s communication and physical skills. For children with their parent or carer. Older siblings welcome. Tuesdays from 10.30am – 11.15am. At The Phoenix Centre, Bushey, WD23 3DG.
Thursday 26th September – Mums’ Walk and Talk

Compassionate Cafés are a place where people who have experienced a loss, such as a bereavement, can pop in for a cuppa, a cake, and a friendly person to talk to. It provides a safe environment for individuals to come together, have a friendly chat, and connect with others who may share similar experiences. Thursday 25th July from 1pm – 2.30pm, at Oxhey Library, Bridlington Road, South Oxhey, WD19 7AG. Next is 28th November, 30th January and 27th March.
Friday 27th September – Macmillan Coffee Morning
Join Metropolitan Bushey, Aldenham Road, Bushey, WD23 2TR in Monty’s Bar and Kitchen for Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. It is the perfect excuse to catch up with family and friends for a coffee, scrumptious cake and sweet treats, and support this fantastic charity. As usual, they will be running a raffle with fantastic prizes and simple games. Friday 27th September from 10am – 12 noon.
Tuesday 1st October – This and That

Sunday 6th October – TrackPlay
A fun and entertaining event for kids who love trains. With over 500 feet of Track and over 100 Thomas and his friends trains to choose from. Kids will be raving about the experience for a long time. Book a time slot to suit and then on the day sit back and enjoy a hot drink whilst the kids all have fun with trains. Coffee Morning at Carpenders Park Care Home, Oxhey Lane, Carpenders Park, WD19 5RJ. They welcome the local community to join them for a delightful coffee morning. They look forward to getting to know their neighbours and local groups over a cup of tea and cake. Saturday 12th October from 10am – 12 noon.
Monday 28th October – Friday 1st November – Holiday Club
Enjoy five days of sports, swimming, crafts, team games and bouncy castle fun plus lots more at this October holiday club. Sunday 3rd November – Fireworks Night: Ed Sheeran Tribute
Join Metropolitan, Aldenham Road, Bushey, WD23 2TR for their hugely popular pyro-musical fireworks night. Bring your family and friends to enjoy a spectacular show featuring a performance by the world’s leading Ed Sheeran tribute act, Jack Shepherd. In addition to the amazing fireworks display, there will be a fun fair, a variety of stalls, delicious food, and bars to keep you entertained. 3pm gates open with Fun Fair, Food and Bars, 5pm Ed Sheeran Tribute Show featuring Jack Shepherd, 6pm Fireworks Display. Saturday 14th December – Christmas Craft Market
Enjoy a morning of crafts and music. From knitted hats to canvas paintings you will not be limited for last minute gifts. Music preformed by DRCY while you shop with cakes and refreshments like hot chocolate and mulled wine available all day.
