Sunday 21st July – Farmers’ Market 

Monthly Farmers Market at Tudor Square, Ware, SG12 9XF, with an array of stalls offering quality food and drink, made locally by small independent producers and businesses. Held on the 3rd Sunday of the month, every market will have a twist or theme. Pop by and pick up something delicious, enjoy food demonstrations and live music. Sunday from 10am – 1pm.


Sunday 21st July – Adults Aerial

Super friendly, fun and welcoming adults aerial classes. You do not need to be fit or bendy or strong. Anybody with any body can do aerial. Learn static trapeze, rope and silks at your own pace. Suitable for total beginners. No commitment, no courses – you can come to this adult classes whenever you want to. These classes are for ages 15yrs-100yrs and absolutely everyone is welcome. Tuesday 23rd July – IT Champions

IT Champions offer one-to-one support, problem-solving, and online safety advice for users of the library computers and WiFi. At Ware Library, 87 High Street, Ware, SG12 9AD. Every Tuesday from 2pm – 4pm.


Wednesday 24th July – Stitch Cafe

Maltings Stitch Café is a fortnightly drop-in group for those seeking to stitch, make new friends and share ideas. Whether your style is embroidery or machine stitching, felting or tapestry, everyone is welcome to this friendly group. You can bring your own projects to work on, whilst socialising in the Café, with a cuppa. This is a drop in session open to all, with no need to book, so just pop by and say hello. Fortnightly on Wednesdays from 10am – 1pm. At Southern Maltings, Kibes Lane, Ware, SG12 7BS. Next 7th August.


Friday 26th July – Ware Country Market

Weekly Country Market with plenty of goods on offer from local bakers, producers and makers all under one roof. Fridays from 9am – 12 noon. At Leaside Church and Community Centre, High Street, Ware, SG12 9BT.


Saturday 27th July – Lego Club

Come along to this monthly LEGO Club at Ware Library, 87 High Street, Ware, SG12 9AD, test your building skills, complete their challenges and earn a master builder certificate. For ages 5-12 (children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult). £4, please book at the library. From 10.30am – 11.30am.


Saturday 27th July – Aerial Taster

Ware Drill Hall Association, Amwell End, Ware, SG12 9HP, are running two aerial taster workshops for 6-10 years and 11-15 years. If you are curious about aerial classes with Generation Circus, this workshop is for you. Just one Saturday where you get to learn mad skills on trapeze, rope and silks and do the same warm up games and exercises that professional artists do before training. Saturday 27th July – Ware Town Fringe

A spectacular showcase of top-notch comedy and sensational live music, featuring the finest talents from the local scene. With a diverse programme guaranteed to tickle your funny bone and set your soul ablaze with rhythm, this is an event you will not want to miss. This is a free event. The event is being held on the first floor of the Southern Maltings building, Kibes Lane, Ware,

On now until – Saturday 27th July – Ware Festival

Ware Festival month. This year’s theme being ‘what a load of rubbish’ aiming to highlight the importance of recycling, reducing waste, and promoting sustainable practices within the community. Proceeds from this event will be split between Ware Festival charities, Men’s Shed and the Ware and Hertford Waterways Chaplaincy, who support those living on our waterway. An afternoon of live music at a summer picnic concert as part of the Ware Festival at Ware Priory Gardens, The Priory, High Street, Ware, SG12 9AL. Tuesday 30th July – Archery

Ware Town Council’s holiday activity, test your target skills in Archery at Ware Priory, Fletcher’s Lea, High Street, Ware, SG12 9AL. Suitable for all ages and abilities, simply turn up and give it a go. Tuesday 30th July from 12 noon – 4pm.


Tuesday 30th July – Craft Event

Create a 3D self portrait using a range of craft materials to make a cardboard cut out just like you. Tuesday 30th July from 2pm – 3pm. At Ware Library, 87 High Street, Ware, SG12 9AD.


Thursday 1st August -Climbing Wall

Ware Town Council’s holiday activity, Turn up and tackle the climbing wall at Ware Priory, front lawn, High Street, Ware, SG12 9AL. All participants must weigh over 23kg and under 114kg to take part. Fully supervised and all climbing equipment will be provided. Thursday 1st August from 12 noon – 4pm.


Saturday 3rd August – Train and Track Play

Exciting sessions with 100’s of battery-run Thomas and Friends trains, tunnels, bridges, Hot Wheels tracks, and more! Perfect for all little car and train enthusiasts. Train and Track Play is an organised session for children to integrate and socialise with other children through playing with toy trains and cars. Saturday 17th August – Music and Motors

Music and Motors, Ware’s best classic car and music event, returns to Tudor Square, Ware for its 16th year. This year it takes place on Saturday 17th August, from 12 noon – 5pm. A selection of local performers playing short acoustic sets and they endeavour to have a display of interesting “motors” brought along by their owners.


Saturday 17th August – Julia Donaldson Fun Day

Join Ware Library, 87 High Street, Ware, SG12 9AD, in celebrating the much loved author Julia Donaldson and her fantastic creations. Have a go at crafts and activities based around your favourite characters. This event is free, with donations welcome. Saturday 17th August from 1.30pm – 3pm.


Sunday 18th August – Equine Boot Sale and Dog Show

Equine Boot Sale and Dog Show on Sunday 18th August from 11am – 1.30pm. At Widford Playing Fields, Ware, SG12 8SH.


Sunday 18th August – Lunchtime Concert

Jonny Gibson-Smith baritone, and Michael Smith piano who will present a forty minute programme at St Mary’s Church Ware. Admission is free but ask you to contribute to a retiring collection in aid of church funds. Coffee, tea and cake will be available in St Mary’s Hall from 11.30am, from the Churchyard Café. Sunday 18th August, concert starts at 12.30pm.


Wednesday 21st August – Makendoo Workshop

Ware Town Council’s holiday activity, Try your hand at some eco-friendly crafts at Ware Priory, Fletcher’s Lea, High Street, Ware, SG12 9AL, No need to book, just turn up and get creative! All ages welcome. Wednesday 21st August from 12 noon – 4pm.


Thursday 22nd August – Multi Sports

Ware Town Council’s holiday activity, Burn off some energy in our multi-sports sessions in Ware Priory grounds, front lawn, High Street, Ware, SG12 9AL. Children will get the chance to take part in a variety sports including beat the goalkeeper, badminton, human hungry hippos and dodgeball. Suitable for all ages, all equipment will be provided. Thursday 22nd August from 12 noon – 4pm.


Monday 26th August – Fun Day

Come and join a fun-filled day for the whole family. There will be inflatables, baked goods, face painting, glitter tattoos, tombola, ice cream van and much more. Monday 26th August from 11am – 3pm. At Braughing community centre, Green Lane, Braughing, SG11 2QL.


Sunday 8th September – Police Community Day

Crime prevention advice, children activities, food stalls, bouncy castle, fire brigade, bungee run, sand art and more, at this Ware Police Community Day, on Sunday 8th September from 11am – 3pm, at Ware Priory, High Street, Ware, SG12 9AL.


Thursday 31st October – Ware Halloween Ghost Walk

Join Ware Ghost Walk host, John Wing for one of two Spooky Tales and Curious incidents about Ware’s rich and fascinating past. Walks meet at the Ware Priory Gates, Costs are £7.50 per person, advance bookings only please. Please email [email protected] to secure places.


Friday 6th December – Ware  Dickensian Evening

Ware travels back in a time before cars and people stopped in the street to exchange news. Join them for Dickensian 2024 – stalls, street food, fun fair rides, craft stalls, music and multiple locations including a new Christmas Arcade near the Ware Bear on the High Street. Friday 6th December from 6pm.
