Friday 23rd January – Ware Country Market

Weekly Country Market with plenty of goods on offer from local bakers, producers and makers all under one roof. Fridays from 9am – 12 noon. At Leaside Church and Community Centre, High Street, Ware, SG12 9BT.


Friday 23rd January – Storytime

These interactive story sessions are perfect for pre-school children to enjoy with their parent/carer. Join in with a mix of picture book stories and rhymes. Fridays from 10.30am – 11am, at Ware Library, High Street, Ware, SG12 9BA.


Friday 23rd January – Board Games Club

Drop in and meet others while playing a fun and friendly board game. All welcome, no experience required. Ware Library, High Street, Ware, SG12 9BA. Fridays from 2pm – 3.30pm.


Friday 23rd January – January Quiz

Saturday 24th January – Westmill Parkrun

A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog or run. The event takes place at Three Lakes Campsite, Westmill Farm, Ware, SG12 0ES. Every week they grab a post parkrun coffee in the Three Lakes Restaurant. Saturdays from 9am, for further information click here


Monday 26th January – Active Rhyme Time

Fun, active rhymes and songs for your baby and toddler. A great way to meet other families and develop your child’s communication and physical skills. Siblings welcome. At Silver Birches Family Centre, Park Road, Ware SG12 0AW. Mondays from 10am – 11am. Chargeable drop in, £2.50 per family.


Monday 26th January – Wiggle Giggle Jump

A fun session for toddlers with the use of colourful equipment (parachutes, pom poms and more), designed to help develop their gross motor skills. The session will run Monday 26th January from 11am – 12 noon, led by Sophie and Sarah. At Ware Library, High Street, Ware, SG12 9BA. Monday 26th January – Listen Up: Protect Your Hearing Health For Life

Invest in your hearing health and join local audiologist Didi Lampert from Audiology for this free session exploring ways to protect and improve your hearing for life. This event is ​open to everyone regardless of age group. Monday 26th January at 12.30pm – 2pm click here and at 5.30pm – 7pm click here Lunch will be ​provided ​at the 12.30 – 2pm ​session. Monday 26th January – Life Drawing 

Come along to this life drawing class at Southern Maltings, Kibes Lane, Ware, SG12 7BS. Weekly on Mondays until 2nd February from 7pm – 9pm. Artists should bring their own materials. Any chosen 2d medium that you love to work with, such as charcoal, pencils, oil pastels, paints are fine.


Monday 26th January – Guitar Club

The guitar club will be running on the last Monday of the month from 7.30pm – 10.30pm, at Southern Maltings, Kibes Lane, Ware, SG12 7BS. It is perfect for ex pros to first timers. Get advice from people who know, love and understand music. Resident bass, drummer and lead guitarist available to play with, or back you, if needed. With a full working set up. Tuesday 27th January – Charter Market

Ware Charter Market bringing together a selection of vendors and traders at this regular Tuesday Charter Market. Taking place at Tudor Square and surrounding streets every Tuesday from 10am – 4pm. Come and support small businesses, and experience the charm of our community.


Tuesday 27th January – Baby Rhyme Time

These fun, half hour sessions of songs and rhymes are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are a great opportunity for you to meet other families too. At Ware Library, High Street, Ware, SG12 9BA. Tuesdays from 10.30am – 11am.


Thursday 29th January – Stay and Play

A fun session with various activities and resources for children. There’s a special area for babies with family support staff available to help, plus the chance to socialise with other parents and carers. Siblings Welcome. Thursdays from 9.30am – 11am, at Southern Maltings, Kibes Lane, Ware, SG12 7BS. Chargeable drop in, £2.50 per family.


Sunday 1st February – Mum2mum Market

Come and shop pre loved, good condition all things baby, children and maternity with 20+ stalls to browse. At The Riverside Hall, The Age Concern Centre, Priory Street, Ware, SG12 0DE. Parking at Priory Street and Burgage Lane carparks and nearby Asda. Sunday 1st February from 10am – 12 noon.


Sunday 1st February – Car Boot Sale

Car boot sale at the Village Club, High Street, Stanstead Abbotts, Ware, SG12 8AB.  They are hoping to have food and drinks vans on site, making it a great day out for everyone. Sunday 1st February from 11am – 3pm.


Thursday 5th February – Maltings Stitch Café

Maltings Stitch Café is a fortnightly drop-in group for those seeking to stitch, make new friends and share ideas. Whether your style is embroidery or machine stitching, felting or tapestry, everyone is welcome to this friendly group. All levels are welcome too, whether you are a novice with a needle or an expert seamstress. You can bring your own projects to work on, whilst socialising in the Café, with a cuppa. This is a drop in session open to all, with no need to book. Thursdays fortnightly from 10am – 1pm, at  Southern Maltings. Kibes Lane, Ware, SG12 7BS, next is 19th February.


Sunday 15th February – The Tudor Square Market

The Tudor Square Markets will be on the 3rd Sunday of the Month from 10am – 2pm. It will feature many of the regular stalls from the inside markets at Southern Maltings, together with some new stalls and street food too. Expect gorgeous locally made artisan food, drink and crafts from the best local makers and small independent producers and businesses, right on your doorstep in Ware. Not on in July, August or December.


Friday 20th and Saturday 21st February – Ware Real Ale Festival

Selection of over 30 real ales plus ciders available as well as wine and soft drinks. Friday 20th and Saturday 21st February from from 6.30pm – 11.30pm. There will be a BBQ available both evenings and there will also be music on the Saturday Evening. Please note only pre-booked tickets guarantees entry. This is an over 18’s event. The event is being held on the ground floor of the Southern Maltings building, Kibes Lane, Ware, SG12 7BS, on the Friday and both floors on Saturday. To book click here


Saturday 21st February – Artisan Craft Fair

Folk and Bespoke prides itself as being different, they aim to be a unique shopping experience, a celebration of small independent businesses and time served craftspeople. Free entry, at Ware Drill Hall, 17 Amwell End, Ware, SG12 9HP, Saturday 21st February from 10am – 3pm. Next is 28th March.


Saturday 21st February – Brahms’ Singing Day

Equine Table Top Sale and Dog Show on Sunday 8th March from 11am – 1pm. At Albury Village Hall, The Bourne, Albury, Ware, SG11 2JD. Raising money for Rose Cat Rescue.


Friday 13th March – Ware Poets

The first half of this event will be open mic, so please feel free to bring and read a poem in a friendly and welcoming space. Imogen Wade has been featured on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour and BBC Radio Essex. She balances her time between writing and working in the mental health sector. Tuesday 17th March – Sublime Science

Get hands-on this half term with sublime science. Join Fletcher’s Lea at Ware Priory, Ware, for exciting experiments and messy fun on Tuesday 17th February. Session times 10-11am and 11:30-12:30pm. Free sessions for curious minds aged 6+. To book click here


Tuesday 17th – Saturday 21st March – Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat

Transforming Ware Drill Hall, Amwell End, Ware, SG12 9HP, into a magical theatre space for the week, Ware Musical Theatre will perform one of the most enduring shows of all time. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a reimagining of the biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers and the coat of many colours. Monday 20th April – Cyber Crime and Fraud Awareness

This free drop-in event features talks from Hertfordshire Police, Hertfordshire County Council Trading Standards and Beacon Victim Care, as well as opportunities to ask questions of cyber and fraud crime prevention experts. Get advice on keeping your devices and accounts safe through passwords and 2-step verification, get better at spotting phishing and social engineering, keep up to date with the latest online, phone, email and text scams, and more. Sunday 26th April – Farmers and Craft Market

A magical pop-up event celebrating the best of Hertfordshire’s local makers, bakers and creators. Held at the picturesque Dane End Christmas Tree Farm, High View, Farm Green End Lane, Dane End, Ware, SG12 0FF. Expect a vibrant collection of artisan stalls featuring handmade crafts, seasonal produce, and unique gifts. Delicious treats from local bakers and food producers. Live music to set the spring mood and a cosy cafe on-site for hot drinks and homemade bites. Sunday 26th April from 10am – 3pm.


Saturday 9th May – Paper Pets Collage Workshop

A chance to enshrine your pooch or kitty in paper collage, and create a pet portrait of your favourite furry friend to keep forever. This workshop is all about your best furry friend or pampered pet. Whether you are a dog person, a cat person (or you love your lizard or budgie). Creating art with paper is fun and accessible to everyone, whether you consider yourself to be an artist or not. Anyone can create amazing results which are one of a kind. All you need to bring to the workshop is your chosen image of your pet, either printed out or on your phone or tablet. Saturday 18th July – Mentley Farm Lavender Summer Celebration

A wonderful Family Day in the Lavender Fields. Enjoy a relaxing day surrounded by stunning lavender fields, featuring artisan stalls showcasing unique local crafts, a BBQ and delicious cakes and treats along with entertainment for all ages.
