Saturday 27th July – Tring Farmers Market

Tring Farmers Market began in May 1999 to promote the sale of local food for local people. Since then it has established a reputation as a really friendly shopping experience. All food is either made or grown locally and the people serving you are usually the producers who are willing to answer any questions regarding the products. Saturday from 9am – 12.30pm. The market is on the second and fourth Saturday of the month.


Saturday 27th July – Storytime

These interactive story sessions are perfect for pre-school children to enjoy with their parent/carer. Join in with a mix of picture book stories and rhymes. Every Saturday from 2.15pm – 2.45pm. At Berkhamsted Library, 185 High Street, Berkhamsted, HP4 3HB.


Monday 29th July – General Board Games

Join The Robin Hood, 1 Brook Street, Tring, HP23 5ED, for their regular last-Monday general board games. Turn up any time between 7pm – 9pm and you will be able to join at least one game. New people always welcome. Fun and silliness guaranteed. Next is 19th August.


Tuesday 30th July – Baby Group

Baby Group every Tuesdays from 10.30am – 12 noon for parents/carers and their young babies, a wonderful way to meet new people in a supportive and friendly group. At High Street Baptist Church, 89 High Street, Tring, HP23 4AB.


Tuesday 30th July – Quiz Night

Rally your squad, or roll in solo, this is your chance to shine, bask in glory, and maybe discover you are the Einstein of bar banter. No reservations needed. Just show up, grab a seat, and prepare for the ultimate battle of brains (£3pp Cash-Only). Tuesday 28th May from 7.30pm – 9pm. At The Kings Arms, High Street, Berkhamsted, HP4 3HL.


Wednesday 31st July – Games Afternoon

Games Afternoon every Wednesdays from 2pm – 4pm is an afternoon of traditional games and puzzles for seniors, refreshments are served too. At High Street Baptist Church, 89 High Street, Tring, HP23 4AB.


Wednesday 31st July – LEGO Club for Children

Suitable for children aged 7 to 12 years old, this club is on every Wednesday from 3.45pm – 4.45pm. At Berkhamsted Library, 185 High Street, Berkhamsted, HP4 3HB.


Thursday 1st August – Brush Party

Join Brush Party, the UK’s ‘Paint and Sip’ experts, on Thursday 1st August from 7pm – 10pm, to paint their theme The Mane Event. You do not need to bring anything apart from yourself, they provide everything, a quality canvas, all the paint you need, brushes and aprons. Friday 2nd August – Friday Market

Tring Town Council hold a market every Friday morning at Church Square and Mansion Vista in Tring. Come along and see what they have on offer.


Friday 2nd August – Baby Rhyme Time

These fun, half hour sessions of songs and rhymes are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are an opportunity for you to meet other families too. For the comfort and safety of families they may have to limit numbers so entry to a session cannot be guaranteed. Every Friday from 10.30am – 11am. Sunday 4th August – Berkhamsted Antiques and Vintage Market

Antiques and vintage street market runs on the first Sunday of the month from March until December. Explore the High Street filled with stalls selling an array of antique and vintage items including furniture, records, vintage clothing, books, lighting, mirrors and more. At Berkhamsted High Street, Berkhamsted, HP4 3AP, from 9.30am – 3.30pm.


Sunday 4th August – Eco Hub

Talks from Sunnyside Rural Trust on wildlife and growing your own veg and from the founder of their Food Stories – a community food growing project. They also have a seed swap in collaboration with Sunnyside Rural Trust, as well as the wonderful Parents for Future with a fabulous creative activity for the kids. Tuesday 6th August – Who Wants To Be an Olympian?

Qualify, win team medals and be in your very own Olympic ceremony with Pākiki Theatre’s ‘Who Wants To Be An Olympian?’, the show that celebrates Olympics and Paralympics past, present and future. Ideal for ages 6-12 and their families. Wednesday 7th August – Compassionate Cafe

Compassionate Cafés are a place where people who have experienced a loss, such as a bereavement, can pop in for a cuppa, a cake, and a friendly person to talk to. It provides a safe environment for individuals to come together, have a friendly chat, and connect with others who may share similar experiences. First Wednesday each month from 1.30pm – 3pm, at Wigginton Community Shop and Café, The Sports Ground, Chesham Road, Wigginton, HP23 6HH.


Saturday 10th August – Introduction to Map and Compass Reading

This one day introduction to map and compass is a practical hands-on day, showing you the skills to plan your own routes safely, be they local countryside trails or in the hills and mountains. This course is aimed at people with no navigation experience, or those looking to refresh their skills learnt a while ago but who want to get back outdoors. Equally, this course would appeal to those want to get into the countryside without relying on others, guidebooks or using easy well-defined routes. On now until – Sunday 18th August – SENDsational Morning: Oceans

This SENDsational morning offers children with neurodiverse conditions, including autism and other sensory processing difficulties, the chance to take part in activities and enjoy our galleries with their families and siblings away from the hustle and bustle of the general public. This event is best for children aged five to 15 and siblings are welcome. At The Natural History Museum, Tring. Every Sunday until 18th August from 10am – 12 noon.

Visitors have access to a few activities including specimen handling, a big draw and a gallery trail. All activities are supported by experienced, autism-aware facilitators. A sensory space will be available for those children needing a quieter and calmer space. All of the galleries, outdoor spaces and the shop will be accessible throughout the event. Sunday 18th August – Berkhamsted Farmers Market

Berko FM provides the opportunity for local customers to buy high quality produce direct from the producer. The massive range includes beef, pork, lamb, poultry, fish, fresh veg, bird seeds, sweet & savoury pies, muesli, plants and herbs, honey, beeswax, free range eggs, crepes, hot dogs, burgers and bacon sarnies to go, a fantastic range of breads, olive oil, rapeseed oil, ready prepared meals, a fantastic range of cheeses, apple juice, wine from a vineyard just two miles away and curry sauces to name just a few. Tuesday 20th August – Print and Prosecco

Join Tring Library, High Street, Tring, HP23 4AF, for an exciting evening learning how to monoprint. During this two hour workshop you will learn how to make your own prints using gelli plates and recycled materials whilst enjoying a glass of prosecco. Sunday 25th – Monday 26th August –  Medieval Festival

Berkhamsted Chamber of Commerce (BDCC) present the second Berkhamsted Medieval Festival on 25th and 26th August, at Kitchener’s Field, Castle Hill, Berkhamsted, HP4 1HE. Travel back in time at this summer festival for all ages with battle re-enactments, a medieval village, falconry, long bow shoot, a fire eater, magician and juggler, roving minstrels with a medieval puppet show, and other items including a children’s fancy dress competition. Sunday 1st September – The Garden Party

There will be circus skills, puppet shows, craft activities and bouncy castles, face painting, sand art, mask and crown making, not forgetting the Pimm’s Tent and an impressive array of food stalls. Saturday 14th September – DENS Castle Walk

Join DENS for a lovely community day for a 10-mile or 2-mile walk that will take you along the canal, across beautiful Chiltern countryside with stunning panoramic views, passing historic buildings and picturesque villages on Saturday 14th September starting at Berkhamsted Castle, White Hill, Berkhamsted, HP4 1LJ. The gentle family and dog-friendly 2-mile walk goes along the Grand Union Canal and includes a children’s nature quiz, perfect for families- and four legged friends are welcome.

After, experience fun activities, castle tours, raffle and refreshments within the Castle grounds. All funds raised through the walk have helped to fund DENS’ integrated services including their 44-bed Hostel, Day Centre and Foodbank. This year, with your help, DENS want to raise even more to continue helping to rebuild the lives of local people in Dacorum, as well as highlight the issues that homeless people face. Saturday 19th October – TringCon

TringCon is a biannual one day board gaming convention, held at Marsworth Millenium Hall, Vicarage Road, Marsworth, Tring HP23 4LR. All forms of board games, collectable card games and other similar tabletop pastimes are welcome. There will be hot and cold drinks and biscuits available throughout the day, and a buffet in the afternoon. You will need to bring your own lunch. There is space to sell games that you no longer need or want, and the opportunity to buy such from others. Saturday 19th October from 9am – 9pm.
