Wednesday 20th May – An Audience with Will Mellor

Will Mellor is a renowned British actor, presenter and podcast host with a career spanning over three decades across television, theatre and radio. Best known for his roles in hit shows including Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, Broadchurch, No Offence, Coronation Street, Mr Bates vs The Post Office. Friday 22nd May – Potten End Bowls Club: Open Day

Why not try bowls at your local club in Potten End? It is friendly, it’s fun and will help you keep fit. Friday 22nd May from 4pm – 8pm. At Potten End Bowls Club, Hempstead Lane, Potten End, Berkhamsted, HP4 2QJ. Next open day is 24th May from 10am – 3pm.


Saturday 23rd May – Tring Farmers Market

Tring Farmers Market began in May 1999 to promote the sale of local food for local people. Since then it has established a reputation as a really friendly shopping experience. All food is either made or grown locally and the people serving you are usually the producers who are willing to answer any questions regarding the products. Saturday from 9am – 12.30pm. The market is on the second and fourth Saturday of the month. Except for December, when they are held the 1st and 3rd Saturday. Markets are held at the Church Square, HP23 5AE, apart from the Apple Parade on the 11th October which is held at the Market Place, Brook St, HP23 5ED.


Saturday 23rd May – BBQ, Beats and Garden Vibes

A full afternoon and evening of great food, great music, and feel-good summer energy. BBQ favourites fresh from the grill, Live DJs playing throughout the day and summer cocktails and drinks flowing all afternoon. At The Artisan Bar, Grill and Garden, Tring Road, Cow Roast, Tring, HP23 5RF. Let the kids enjoy their play area and outdoor space, while you sit back, relax, and make the most of the long weekend with friends and family. Saturday 24th May – Open Mic

Step up to the mic at The Bell, High Street, Tring, HP23 5AA, for a night of music, laughs, talent and good vibes. Whether you are a seasoned performer or just fancy giving it a go, everyone is welcome in this fun, friendly and supportive atmosphere. Enjoy great drinks, an energetic crowd, and a professional PA system with experienced sound engineer support to make sure you sound your best all night long. Open Mic at The Bell is all about good people, great music and unforgettable nights. Saturdays from 7pm – 10.30pm until at least the end of October.


Tuesday 26th May – Community Fridge

The Berkhamsted Community Fridge is a community initiative open to all for anyone to take food, which includes surplus from supermarkets, local food businesses, producers, households and gardens, all collected by Berkhamsted Together volunteers. Everyone is encouraged to come and collect food to save it from going to waste Tuesdays from 2pm – 3.30pm at Northchurch Social Centre, Bell Lane, Northchurch, Berkhamsted, HP4 3RD.


Tuesday 26th May – Craft and a Cuppa

Come and knit and natter or sit and sew, or bring along any other craft and enjoy a cuppa at the same time. Every Tuesday from 2pm – 4pm, at Saint Peter and Saint Paul Church, Tring, HP23 5AE.


Tuesday 26th May – The Bell Quiz

A fun lively quiz suitable for all ages and abilities, expect mischief and mayhem and great prizes. Tuesdays from 7.30pm, at The Bell, High Street, Tring, HP23 5AA.


Wednesday 27th May – Senior Games Afternoon

Senior Games Afternoon is an opportunity for seniors to gather and play games together, with tea, coffee and cake. At High Street Baptist Church, High Street, Tring, HP23 4AB. Wednesdays from 2pm – 4pm.


Wednesday 27th May – Lego Club

Come along for fun challenges that build problem solving skills, spatial awareness, and creative thinking. Suitable for children aged 5-11 years old. Children under 5 will not be able to attend this session. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. At Berkhamsted Library, High Street, Berkhamsted, HP4 3HB. Places are limited so please book at the library. Wednesdays from 3.45pm – 4.45pm.


Thursday 28th May – Local History Walk

Join in and support both Tring library and the local history museum. Meet at Tring library, High Street, HP23 4AF. Tim Amsden from Tring Local History Museum will lead a fascinating guided walk through Tring’s past. The walk lasts around an hour and finishes with refreshments at the library and an informal chat. Thursday 28th May from 11am – 12.30pm. £8 per person, proceeds shared between the library and the museum. Places are limited, booking available at Tring Library only.


Thursday 28th and Friday 29th May – Woodland Wonders

Peek into the magical world of those who live behind the bark, wander through the gardens to discover hidden miniature doors tucked away among the trees. You might even meet some friendly fairies and elves along the way. After your exploration, dive into woodland craft activities, perfect for small hands and big imaginations. Saturday 30th May – Repair Cafe

Repair cafe where skilled individuals volunteer their tools and materials to help fix cherished items that are no longer functional or are damaged. There are a variety of items that can be fixed for free or at little cost, such as a bicycle’s broken chain, a worn-out teddy bear, a toaster that fails to pop up and more. Runs on the first Saturday of every month, 9.30am – 12.30pm. At Berkhamsted and Northchurch Repair Café, Bell Lane, Northchurch, HP4 3RD.


Friday 5th June – Family Storytime with Tring Pride

A themed storytime to celebrate families of all different shapes, sizes and forms. Listen to stories, explore their Pride themed bookshelf, and get creative with some colouring. Perfect for little ones aged 2-7 years, but open to all. Attendees require a ticket for health and safety reasons. Saturday 6th June – Summer Aristan Market

Green Eco-Friendly Market at Berkhamsted Town Hall, on Saturday 6th June from 10am – 3pm. Located on the bustling high street, this indoor market is the perfect spot to showcase your products to a conscious, creative audience.


Saturday 6th June – Sushi Making

This hands-on Sushi Making Masterclass will teach you how to make 4 different kinds of authentic sushi in a relaxed and fun environment. Children (8+) must be accompanied by an adult. Saturday 6th June – Hertfordshire Big Band

The Hertfordshire Big Band makes its debut at Berkhamsted Jazz, featuring some of Hertfordshire’s finest jazz musicians. Expect to hear big band music spanning the last century, both instrumental and vocal, as well as tributes to some of the finest jazz musicians and band leaders. Sunday 7th June – Berkhamsted Antiques and Vintage Market

Antiques and vintage street market runs on the first Sunday of the month from March until December. Explore the High Street filled with stalls selling an array of antique and vintage items including furniture, records, vintage clothing, books, lighting, mirrors and more. Across the road, the Civic Centre hosts our indoor antiques fair, filled with tables of silver, jewellery, and collectables. At Berkhamsted High Street, Berkhamsted, HP4 3AP, from 9.30am – 3.30pm.


Sunday 7th June – Tring Open Gardens

This year’s Tring Open Gardens includes a fantastic selection of 11 gardens to visit in and around Tring. The afternoon is a great opportunity to meet up with friends and neighbours while enjoying some inspiring gardens, hopefully in the summer sunshine. There will be plant sales, refreshments, choirs, a raffle and more. You can start and purchase a ticket from any of the 11 gardens and all proceeds will go to Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care. Sunday 21st June – Marsworth Steam and Classic Rally

Hundreds of vintage and classic vehicles will be gleaming at Marsworth, including some very impressive cars, tractors, commercials and military vehicles. Stunning exhibits aside, there will also be an abundance of activities to keep all entertained. For the little ones and the young at heart the children’s vintage fairground is always a success, and throughout the day there will be various events in the arena, some enabling audience participation. With a range of gourmet treats to suit snackers and larger appetites alike. The Beer and Tea tents will be on hand with a selection of Local Real Ales and hefty slabs of cake, all accompanied by live music. Sunday 21st June from 11am – 5pm. Sunday 28th June – The Petertide Fair

A fun-filled family fête with afternoon entertainments, games, stalls, food and drink. Drop by for Pimms or a beer in the sun, browse the plant stalls and bric-à-brac stalls. For youngsters, there are train rides, and bring a cuddly toy to ride the daring Teddy Zip Wire from the bell tower. Free entry. Friday 10th July – Tring Beer and Band Night

Enjoy an afternoon and evening of live music and beer, while raising vital funds for Rennie Grove Peace. Beer tent open from 2pm. Band Night starts from 7.30pm. Friday 10th July – Comedy Night

A brilliant evening of professional stand-up comedy at Ashlyns School, Chesham Road, Berkhamsted, HP4 3AH, on Friday 10th July. Headlined by Nathan Caton, who has starred on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week and Richard Osman’s House of Games, comedy-goers will also be entertained by award-winning comedians Jenny Collier and Christian Reilly. The fabulous evening will be hosted by the multi-award winning Chris Purchase. Comedy is from 8pm, with food and drinks served from 6.
