Tuesday 22nd October – Baby Group

Baby Group every Tuesdays from 10.30am – 12 noon for parents/carers and their young babies, a wonderful way to meet new people in a supportive and friendly group. At High Street Baptist Church, 89 High Street, Tring, HP23 4AB.


Tuesday 22nd October – Lego Club for Children

Lego Club for Children which is suitable for ages 5-12 years. Tuesday 22nd October from 4pm – 5pm. At Tring Library, High Street, HP23 4AF.


Wednesday 23rd October – Games Afternoon

Games Afternoon every Wednesdays from 2pm – 4pm is an afternoon of traditional games and puzzles for seniors, refreshments are served too. At High Street Baptist Church, 89 High Street, Tring, HP23 4AB.


Friday 25th October – Memory Cafe

A weekly Memory Café for people with dementia and Alzheimer’s (and a family member/carer) – an opportunity to take part in crafts and games, as well as enjoy hot drinks and cakes in a safe, sociable environment. At Open Door, 360-364 High Street, Berkhamsted, HP4 1HU. Fridays from 10.30am – 12 noon.


Saturday 26th October – Tring Farmers Market

Tring Farmers Market began in May 1999 to promote the sale of local food for local people. Since then it has established a reputation as a really friendly shopping experience. All food is either made or grown locally and the people serving you are usually the producers who are willing to answer any questions regarding the products. Saturday from 9am – 12.30pm. The market is on the second and fourth Saturday of the month.


Monday 28th October – Tring Yarn Bombers

Tring Yarn Bombers welcome you to the library, Mondays – fortnightly from 1pm – 2.30pm. Free of charge and everyone welcome. At Tring Library, High Street, HP23 4AF. Next is 11th November.

The Little Gaddesden Local Produce Market is on Saturday 2nd November from 9.30am – 12 noon. At the Village Hall, Church Road, Little Gaddesden, HP4 1NX.


Saturday 2nd November – Pop Up Bazaar

The Pop Up Bazaar cordially invites you to pop along and do some fab high street shopping at their weekend venue, Berkhamsted Town Hall, 196 High Street, Berkhamsted, HP4 3AP. They have ever changing stall holders but to give you an idea they may feature: wood sculptures, clocks, scarves, personalised gifts, resin art, glass art, Body Shop, original artwork, jewellery, candles, patisseries, chocolate, dog treats and clothing, pet portraits, local artist, home grown Authors, Forever and Tropic Skincare, French Linen and soaps, bags, cards, towels, kids festival wear, crochet knits, baby clothing, baubles and paintings and lots more. Saturday 2nd November – Arts and Craft Winter Market

Winter market supporting local businesses, Saturday 2nd November from 10am – 3pm. At Victoria Hall, Akeman Street, Tring HP23 6AA.


Saturday 2nd November – Tring Festival of Fire

Tring’s annual Firework Fest celebrates its 60th anniversary. Every penny raised goes to support sport in the local community. A fantastic night out for the whole family with food stalls, beer tent, live music, bonfire and the most spectacular fireworks display. For safety reasons tickets must be bought online in advance. On sales from 1st September. 6pm – doors open, light music through the the PA, food and drink on sale. 7pm – Bonfire lit with mini display. 7.20pm Fireworks to music. Saturday 2nd November – Berkhamsted Rotary Fireworks

Berkhamsted Fireworks at Berkhamsted Cricket Club, Castle Hill, Berkhamsted, HP4 1HE, on Saturday 2nd November. Gates open at 6pm, the spectacular Fireworks display starts at 7pm.


Sunday 3rd November – BerkoFest Book Festiva

BerkoFest Book Festival is returning on Sunday 3rd November from 9.30am – 7pm, with lots of exciting Internationally acclaimed names ranging from Sunday Times top-selling fiction and non-fiction writers to musicians to comedians to scientists to sports players, many of whom have won prizes and awards in their areas of expertise. It is an amazing diverse mixture of talents, and they will be available for Q&A as part of their session and book signing. Sunday 3rd November – Berkhamsted Antiques and Vintage Market

Antiques and vintage street market runs on the first Sunday of the month from March until December. Explore the High Street filled with stalls selling an array of antique and vintage items including furniture, records, vintage clothing, books, lighting, mirrors and more. Sunday 3rd November – Berkhamsted Farmers Market

Berko FM provides the opportunity for local customers to buy high quality produce direct from the producer. The massive range includes beef, pork, lamb, poultry, fish, fresh veg, bird seeds, sweet & savoury pies, muesli, plants and herbs, honey, beeswax, free range eggs, crepes, hot dogs, burgers and bacon sarnies to go, a fantastic range of breads, olive oil, rapeseed oil, ready prepared meals, a fantastic range of cheeses, apple juice, wine from a vineyard just two miles away and curry sauces to name just a few. Sunday 3rd November – Eco Hub

Talks from Sunnyside Rural Trust on wildlife and growing your own veg and from the founder of their Food Stories – a community food growing project. They also have a seed swap in collaboration with Sunnyside Rural Trust, as well as the wonderful Parents for Future with a fabulous creative activity for the kids. Wednesday 6th November – Compassionate Cafe

Compassionate Cafés are a place where people who have experienced a loss, such as a bereavement, can pop in for a cuppa, a cake, and a friendly person to talk to. It provides a safe environment for individuals to come together, have a friendly chat, and connect with others who may share similar experiences. First Wednesday each month from 1.30pm – 3pm, at Wigginton Community Shop and Café, The Sports Ground, Chesham Road, Wigginton, HP23 6HH.


Thursday 14th November – Visual Impairment Reading Group

For readers of large print, talking books and BorrowBox. Every 6 weeks on Thursdays from 10.45am – 12.30pm. Refreshments provided. At Tring Library, High Street, HP23 4AF.


Saturday 16th November – Mr Cornelius and Soul Train

Featuring music from the Motown and 80s Soul catalogue, this production has it all. Live Band, incredible singers, dancers and a whole lot of drama. A snapshot of the Life of Don Cornelius, The Mastermind behind the classic hit TV Show “Soul Train”. Thursday 21st November – Slipper Swap

Old slippers often cause trips and falls, which could lead to an unnecessary stay in hospital and loss of independence. Older residents can swap their old slippers for a brand-new free pair of anti-slip ones – and find out more about keeping themselves safe and well at the same time. Thursday 21st November from 10am – 1pm. At Berkhamsted Library, 185 High Street, Berkhamsted, HP4 3HB. Just come along and library staff will not only be on hand to help you but to introduce you to their services for older people such as information; activities; the Home Library Service, and book a Home Fire Safety visit with the Fire Service.


Friday 29th November – Wednesday 1st January – Ashridge House Illuminated

Saturday 14th December – Wild Christmas Charity Run

For another year Run The Wild supporting the wonderful work of The Hospice of St Francis who will receive all profits from this event. The run is open to all abilities with a 4km guided walk and 8km guided trail run. The all ability 4km route will have Christmas themed activities on route. The 8km guided run will take in some of the beautiful local trails and their guides will be providing trail running tips and fun local info along the way.

The event is open to everyone, including children and dogs. Free mince pie and mulled wine with every entry. Prize for best fancy dress. However, fancy dress is optional. Saturday 14th December. For further information and to book click here

Wednesday 18th December – Christmas Market

Awesome indoor Pop Up Bazaar markets at The Civic Centre, 161-163 High Street, Berkhamsted, HP4 3HD. This market is Free to the public, dogs welcome and wheel chair ramp available. Parking is located nearby at the Tesco s Carpark and the market is just across the street. Wednesday 18th December from 10am – 2pm.


Thursday 19th – Tuesday 31st December – Cinderella

The most famous pantomime of them all. Everyone’s favourite classic tale told by an incredible cast for Berkhamsted’s first ever Professional Pantomime. Join Cinders as she transforms from rags to riches, in this epic tale of bravery, courage and determination. With the help of her Fairy Godmother, hilarious friend Buttons and of course some Pantomime magic make sure join them and help Cinders outwit evil and make it to the Ball.
