Saturday 2nd December – Mum2mum Market

Saturday 2nd – Sunday 31st December – Beauty and the Beast Pantomime
Upstage Productions present Beauty and the Beast as their 2023 traditional family pantomime. They promise dazzling choreography, stunning sets, uplifting live music, glamourous costumes (for most of the cast members!) and, of course, plenty of audience participation. Sunday 3rd December – Junior Parkrun
Taking place at the Furzefield Leisure Centre, Mutton Lane, Potters Bar, EN6 3BW, the new junior parkrun is a free, fun, and friendly weekly 2k event for juniors aged 4 to 14 years old. It is held every Sunday at 9am. For further information click here

Explore the life and works of a musical master Samuel Coleridge Taylor now at Radlett Library, 1 Aldenham Avenue, Radlett, WD7 8HL. This exhibition commemorates the 111th anniversary of Samuel Coleridge Taylor’s death. The exhibition helps to shine a light on a talented, but often overlooked musical master.

Monday 4th December – Baby Rhyme Time
These fun, half hour sessions of songs and rhymes are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are an opportunity for you to meet other families too. Every Monday from 10am – 10.30am and 11am – 11.30am. At Borehamwood Library, 96 Shenley Road, Borehamwood, WD6 1EB.

Monday 4th December – Creative Community Cafe
Do you enjoy knitting, tapestry, crocheting, needlework, painting or another crafty hobby? Then come along to this weekly Creative Community Cafe. These will be weekly coffee and crafting sessions; a great opportunity to meet new friends with similar interests, to chat about your hobbies, and enjoy free refreshments. Tuesday 5th December – Indoor Christmas Market
Come along to this indoor Christmas Market on Tuesday 5th December from 3pm – 7pm. There will be a number of stalls selling a range of products. Wednesday 6th December – Compassionate Café
Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care is delighted to bring you this Compassionate Café, run in partnership with Loaves and Fishes Café at Christ Church Little Heath, Great North Road, Potters Bar, EN6 1JNB. The café will run every Wednesday from 10am – 12 noon, and provides a space for local people who have been affected by bereavement or any kind of loss to meet others by coming together for a cuppa and a chat.

Wednesday 6th December – Physical Fun
A free fun, 90 minute active session suitable for children aged 18 months plus. Come and meet other local families and enjoy lots of fun games and play opportunities to support your child with their physical development. Older siblings welcome. Wednesdays from 10.30am – 12 noon. These Special Educational Needs and Disability cafes are a great opportunity to come and meet other families going through a similar journey, in a relaxed environment. The friendly SEND Champions are on hand to talk about the services they offer at the Family Centre, signpost to relevant charities and organisations or simply to offer a listening ear. Monday 18th December – Hertfordshire Show Band

Hunt down all the Elves hanging around the Farm on the Elf Hunt, find them all to win a prize. Warm up in the indoor Play Barn while the children let off steam on the Bouncy Castle, Plus enjoy the Giant Puzzles, Mini-Tractor Play and Photo Opportunities.

Thursday 18th January – Gulls Galore
As light begins to fade this time of year, the open water attracts thousands and thousands of gulls of different species, this is your chance to see the spectacle in action in a private nature reserve. The event will include a tour of part of the reserve, before we settle down to watch the spectacle with a cup of hot chocolate. Bring binoculars or a field telescope if you have them.
Please be aware you will need to ascend and descend a flight of approx. 100 steps up the dam wall, there is a hand rail. The ground may be muddy and uneven in places. No dogs will be allowed at this event. Thursday 18th January from 3pm – 5pm. To book click here
