Saturday 18th May – Adult Parkrun 

Adult parkrun at Aldenham Country Park, Aldenham Road, Radlett, Borehamwood, WD6 3BA, every Saturday from 9am. Completely free and accessible to all, it is a 5k race for all the family. At Simply visit their website and sign up click here

Saturday 18th May – Parkplay

ParkPlay is a national project that runs every Saturday from 10am – 12 noon. and is completely free to attend. They aim to encourage families to participate together across generations and get involved in game activities. All their games are inclusive and can be played across a range of ages in a way that keeps thing safe and most importantly fun for all the family. There are no age restrictions to any of their projects but say if they can walk, they can play. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Sunday 19th May – Junior Parkrun 

Taking place at the Furzefield Leisure Centre, Mutton Lane, Potters Bar, EN6 3BW, the new junior parkrun is a free, fun, and friendly weekly 2k event for juniors aged 4 to 14 years old. It is held every Sunday at 9am. For further information click here

Sunday 19th May – An Evening Out in the Afternoon 

This great group supporting the isolated, disabled, those living with dementia and seniors, meet every Sunday afternoon from 2.30pm – 4.30pm. At Maxwell Park Community Centre, Maxwell Road, Borehamwood, WD6 1JJ. With singalongs, games, raffle and refreshments.

Monday 20th May – Baby Rhyme Time

These fun, half hour sessions of songs and rhymes are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are an opportunity for you to meet other families too. Every Monday from 10am – 10.30am and 11am – 11.30am. At Borehamwood Library, 96 Shenley Road, Borehamwood, WD6 1EB.

Tuesday 21st May – Citizens Advice Drop In

Citizens Advice Drop In every Tuesday from 10am – 3pm, at The Radlett Centre, Aldenham Avenue, Radlett, WD7 8HL.

Tuesday 21st May – IT Champions

IT Champions offer one-to-one support, problem-solving, and online safety advice for users of the library computers and WiFi. At Borehamwood Library, 96 Shenley Road, Borehamwood, WD6 1EB. Every Tuesday from 2pm – 4pm.

Wednesday 22nd May – Compassionate Café

Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care is delighted to bring you this Compassionate Café, run in partnership with Loaves and Fishes Café at Christ Church Little Heath, Great North Road, Potters Bar, EN6 1JNB. The café will run every Wednesday from 10am – 12 noon, and provides a space for local people who have been affected by bereavement or any kind of loss to meet others by coming together for a cuppa and a chat.

Wednesday 22nd May – The Rummikub Runners

A friendly group, where people get together to play games of rummikub. All ages welcome. At Allum Manor House, 2 Allum Lane, Elstree, Borehamwood, WD6 3PJ. Every other Wednesday from 2.30pm – 4.30pm. Next is 5th June

Thursday 23rd May – Under 5’s Storytime

Join Oakmere Library, High Street, Potters Bar, EN6 5BZ, for stories and songs every Thursday from 11am – 11.30am. No need to book.

Saturday 25th May – Mum2mum Market

Come and shop pre loved, good condition all things baby, kids and maternity with 20 stalls to browse. Refreshments and snacks available. At Maxwell Park Community Centre, Maxwell Road, Borehamwood, MD6 1JJ, Saturday 25th May from 2pm – 4pm.

Monday 3rd June – SEND Chat and Play

These Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Chat and Play sessions are a great opportunity to come and meet other families going through a similar journey, in a relaxed environment. The SEND Champions are on hand to talk about the services they offer, signpost to different organisations or to simply act as a listening ear. All are welcome whether your child is diagnosed or you are concerned about a possible need. They have toys out for the children or you can come by yourself.

Wednesday 5th June – CreativiTEA

Bring your own craft and materials and enjoy a cuppa and a chat at this Craft Group. Meeting the first Wednesday of every month from 1pm – 3.30pm. At Oakmere Library, High Street, Potters Bar, EN6 5BZ.

Sunday 23rd June – Civic Festival Concert

Elstree Mozart players will be performing the next concert the civic festival concert on Sunday 23rd June from 7.30pm in All Saints Church, Shenley Road, Borehamwood, WD6 1EB. Conducted by Derek Holland, the upcoming concert will showcase a diverse repertoire, including compositions by Peter Wilson, Leopold Mozart, Robert Bark, Leroy Anderson, Roderic Elmer, and Cécile Chaminade. Saturday 29th June – Becoming Dad

Becoming Dad, an inclusive workshop for new and expectant fathers to help them to connect with and understand their babies’ needs. Supported by trained facilitators from the Family Support Service, this workshop offers expectant and new fathers an informal and relaxed space to talk through any thoughts and challenges dad to dad as they transition into parenthood. Summer event by Aldenham Parish Council is with Christ Church and St John’s Radlett and Amer’s Amusements. Monday 12th August from 10.30am – 2.30pm. With bouncy castle, games, inflatable slide, crafts and more. At Christ Church Field, Watling Street, Radlett, WD7 7JJ.
