Friday 6th November – Herts Musical Memories
Herts Musical Memories sessions bring people together through the power of music, memories and singing. Whether you are living with dementia, supporting a loved one, or simply enjoy singing and meeting new people, these friendly sessions are a wonderful opportunity to sing along, share memories and enjoy time together. Come along, grab a cuppa and a snack, and settle in before the singing begins. Fridays from 1pm – 2.30pm, at Mrs Howard Memorial Hall, Norton Way South, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 1NX. Next November: 20th 27th, December: 4th 11th.
Friday 6th November – Letchworth Rugby Club Fireworks Spectacular
One of the biggest nights of the year at Letchworth Rugby Club is back. Join them at Legends Lane on Friday 6th November for their Fireworks Spectacular set to music, a brilliant evening for the whole family, in aid of Garden House Hospice Care. Bonfire, Fireworks spectacular set to music, Fair rides and stalls, Hot food and drink, Full bar, Live music in the clubhouse. Friday 6th November. Gates open 5.30pm, Fireworks display 7.30pm, Live music from 8pm in the clubhouse. Tickets are available from David’s Record Shop, Café Luna Baldock and Letchworth Rugby Club Bar.
Saturday 7th November – Letchworth Parkrun
A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog or run. The event takes place at Grange Recreation Ground, Gaunts Way, Letchworth, SG6 4PN. The course takes in parts of Letchworth Greenway and surrounding countryside. Saturdays from 9am, for further information click here
Saturday 7th November – Saturday Stories
A half-hour session, perfect for helping to develop a child’s language skills and meet other families. Most suitable for under 8s. Free drop-in session but donations are welcome. First Saturday of every month from 10.30am – 11am, at Letchworth Library, Broadway, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 3PF. Until at least September 2027.
Saturday 7th November – Baldock Fireworks
A fun-filled, family celebration event, there will be plenty of entertainment, stalls, food vans, fairground rides and more. The Baldock Community Fireworks is on Saturday 7th November from 4pm – 9pm. Fireworks at 6.45pm. At Hartsfield School, Clothall Road, Baldock, SG7 6PB. To book click here
Sunday 8th November – Junior Parkrun

Wednesday 18th November – Slipper Swap
Slipper Swap events prevent slips and trips by picking up free slippers and getting lots of advice about staying safe and well in your home. You can pick up free anti-slip slippers, find out about local social groups and clubs you might enjoy, get advice from occupational therapists and other event partners, and book a Home Fire Safety visit with the Fire Service. Wednesday 18th November – Create and Chat for Adults
Letchworth Library, Broadway, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 3PF, run a Create and Chat for adults crafting group every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 10.30am – 12 noon. It is a free drop-in group. Bring along your own crafting projects and share ideas with like-minded people. They can also help to get you started with knitting, crochet and sewing.

Sunday 29th November – Lights of Life
Lights of Life is a special opportunity to remember, celebrate and reflect on the lives of friends, family and colleagues who are no longer with us. Join Garden House Hospice Care in their beautifully illuminated gardens for a special service, hosted by their Clinical team, featuring time to wander in the garden and view the lights and dedication boards. Music from Roxy Searle, Readings from staff and families, singing from a local choir, a moment of silence by candlelight and the official switch on of their beautiful lights. Tuesday 1st December – Open Mic Night
Come and showcase your talents, or alternatively come for a good evening out, with coffee, cocktails and more available and show your support to local singers. First Tuesday of each month from 7pm, at Coffee Shop, 12 Leys Avenue, Letchworth.

Step into Santa’s Grotto at Baldock Community Hub, Simpson Drive, Baldock, SG7 6DH. Each child will have time to chat with Santa and receive a small gift. Looking for dedicated time to read, free from distractions? Join Letchworth Library, Broadway, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 3PF, for their Quiet Book Club. Bring along whatever you are currently reading and enjoy an evening of relaxed, uninterrupted reading in the company of fellow book lovers. There is no set book, no assigned reading and no pressure to take part in discussions. Whether you enjoy novels, non-fiction, graphic novels, magazines, audiobooks or e-books, everyone is welcome. : 7pm arrive, grab a drink and chat about what you are reading. 7.30pm enjoy a peaceful hour of silent reading. 8.30pm optional socialising, book recommendations, or simply continue reading.
