Saturday 18th April – Community Surgery

Join North Herts Council on Saturday 25th April from 10.30am – 12 noon, for the Baldock Community Surgery. It is a fantastic opportunity to discuss any matters of interest or concern with your Councillors. At Tesco, High Street, Baldock.


Saturday 25th April – Letchworth Parkrun

A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog or run. The event takes place at Grange Recreation Ground, Gaunts Way, Letchworth, SG6 4PN. The course takes in parts of Letchworth Greenway and surrounding countryside. Saturdays from 9am, for further information click here


Saturday 25th April – Spring Market

This Spring Market is a celebration of spring, creativity and the great outdoors. On the day you can enjoy food and craft stalls, meeting the animals. Little Gardeners Club for budding green fingers and more. A chance to support local businesses and enjoy everything spring has to offer. Sunday 26th April – Junior Parkrun

A free, fun, and friendly weekly 2k event for juniors 4-14 year olds. The event takes place at Norton Common, Icknield Way, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 4UF. Sundays from 9am. For further information click here


Monday 27th April – Chatty Cafe

The ‘Chatter and Natter table’ is a wonderful way of encouraging people of all ages to talk to others. Do come along and sit for a chat. Monday – Friday from 8.30am – 2.30pm. At Level Ground Community Cafe, The Wynd, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 4ET


Tuesday 28th April – Young Adult Craft Group

This month, the Young Adult Craft Group will be clay sculpting. They will also have a selection of other creative activities available, so everyone can get stuck into something they enjoy. All materials are provided, so there is nothing to bring but your imagination, and everyone is welcome, whether you are a complete beginner or a crafting expert. Tuesday from 5.30pm – 7pm. CAB Advice drop in at Baldock Library, Simpson Drive, Baldock, SG7 6DH, every Wednesday from 10.30am – 12 noon, until at least the end of October.


Friday 1st May – Family Barn Dance

Looking for a fun night out for all ages? Come and join a Family Barn Dance, full of music, laughter, and simple dances everyone can enjoy. No experience needed, A friendly caller will guide you every step of the way, so just turn up and have fun. Includes a Ploughman’s Supper, tea and coffee. Bring your own drinks. Saturday 2nd May – Coffee Morning

Looking for a cosy, feel-good morning? Come along to the coffee morning at Baldock United Reformed Church, Whitehorse Street, Baldock, SG7 6QF, and catch up with old friends, or make some lovely new ones. Delicious homemade cakes, fresh coffee and warm conversation. A treasure-filled book stall, homemade preserves to take a little sweetness home. Whether you fancy a relaxed chat, a browse, or just an excellent slice of cake, there’s something here for everyone. Saturday 2nd May – FBG Con

FBG Con is a convention held every year in North Hertfordshire. The convention aims to provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for everyone to play games, meet new people and have a good time. An afternoon every first Sunday of the month from 1pm – 5pm, where there will be activities to do and fun to be had. At Grange Community Centre, Middlefields, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 4NG.


Sunday 3rd May – Karaoke Night

Warm up those vocal cords and join Jackmans Social Club, Ivel Court, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 2NL, for a night of singing, laughs, and community fun. Free entry, all ages welcome, bring your friends. Step up to the mic or cheer from the crowd. Sunday 3rd May from 7pm – 10pm.


Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th May – Historical Walk

Step into the story of Baldock town on a relaxed 1.5-mile guided stroll, uncovering its rich history and striking architecture along the way. From hidden details to well-known landmarks, you will see the place in a whole new light. The route is mostly on smooth tarmac, making it suitable for most mobility scooters. Do note, however, that there will be some traffic and periods of listening, so it may not be ideal for small children or dogs. Beginning at the Community Centre, Simpson Drive, Baldock, SG7 6DH. Join Letchworth Library, Broadway, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 3PF, on the second Saturday of each month from 10am – 12 noon, at this Code Club for age 18+ Bring your own laptop and get involved with projects and coding, mostly Python or JavaScript. It is free and no booking is required.


Saturday 16th May – Letchworth Food, Drink and Craft Festival

The Letchworth Food, Drink and Craft Festival is on every third Saturday from 10am – 4pm. At Leys Square, Letchworth.


Saturday 16th May –  History Workshop in Baldock

A hands-on workshop in partnership with Historic England’s Missing Pieces Project, bringing Baldock’s heritage to life. You will discover the hidden stories of local historic sites, contribute your own photos and memories to the National Heritage List and play a part in preserving Baldock’s history for the future. They will be heading outdoors for part of the session, so dress for the weather and bring a device (or two!) to take photos and get online. Suitable for adults and children in Year 5+. Learn to navigate popular genealogy websites in this hands on, tool focused session. At Baldock Library, Simpson Drive, Baldock, SG7 6DH. Monday 18th May from 2pm – 4pm. Free event, drop in session.


Wednesday 20th May – Create and Chat for Adults

Letchworth Library, Broadway, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 3PF, run a Create and Chat for adults crafting group every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 10.30am – 12 noon. It is a free drop-in group. Bring along your own crafting projects and share ideas with like-minded people. They can also help to get you started with knitting, crochet and sewing.


Wednesday 3rd June – Volunteer Information Session

These events are an informal way for you to find out about the wonderful volunteer opportunities with Garden House Hospice Care. Even if you only have a few hours to spare, you can make a huge difference by joining their amazing team. These sessions take place here at Garden House Hospice Care, Gillison Close, Letchworth, SG6 1QU. Join the wonderful town centre businesses for another great day in Letchworth and see what they have in store for this event. Saturday 27th June.

Saturday 19th September – Family Fun Day

Enjoy an exciting mix of activities and entertainment, including bouncy castle, arts and crafts, food vans, games, bottle tombola, Live music and performances, meet and greet with characters, amazing prizes to be won and more. This is a great opportunity to meet new people, engage with the local community and enjoy a vibrant atmosphere with your family and friends.
