Saturday 8th August – Letchworth Parkrun
A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog or run. The event takes place at Grange Recreation Ground, Gaunts Way, Letchworth, SG6 4PN. The course takes in parts of Letchworth Greenway and surrounding countryside. Saturdays from 9am, for further information click here
Sunday 9th August – Junior Parkrun
A free, fun, and friendly weekly 2k event for juniors 4-14 year olds. The event takes place at Norton Common, Icknield Way, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 4UF. Sundays from 9am. For further information click here
Monday 10th August – Mahjong Club

The Letchworth Food, Drink and Craft Festival is on every third Saturday from 10am – 4pm. At Leys Square, Letchworth.
Saturday 15th August – Family Open Day
Join Jackmans Community Centre, Ivel Court, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 2NL, for a fantastic day of free family fun. Whether you are visiting for the first time or have been part of the community for years, there is something for everyone. Bring your family, friends and neighbours and celebrate everything Jackmans Community Centre has to offer. Balloon modelling, Bouncy Castle, Irish dancing, Samba performances, football target challenge, live music and dance and much more. Saturday 15th August from 12 noon – 4pm and then family disco from 7pm – 10.30pm.

Wednesday 19th August – Create and Chat for Adults
Letchworth Library, Broadway, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 3PF, run a Create and Chat for adults crafting group every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 10.30am – 12 noon. It is a free drop-in group. Bring along your own crafting projects and share ideas with like-minded people. They can also help to get you started with knitting, crochet and sewing.

These events are an informal way for you to find out about the wonderful volunteer opportunities with Garden House Hospice Care. Even if you only have a few hours to spare, you can make a huge difference by joining their amazing team. These sessions take place here at Garden House Hospice Care, Gillison Close, Letchworth, SG6 1QU. Saturday 12th September – Sunset Starlight Walk
Join Garden House Hospice Care on Saturday 12th September for this year’s Sunset Starlight Walk, an unforgettable 10km walk in Hertfordshire countryside raising vital funds for Garden House Hospice Care. The circular route starts and finishes at Letchworth Hall Hotel, Letchworth Lane, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 3NP, guiding you through the town and beautiful surrounding villages. Walkers are encouraged to light up the night with glowsticks, fairy lights or illuminated accessories and fancy dress is welcome, so feel free to get creative. More than just a charity walk, Sunset Starlight Walk is a way to pay tribute to loved ones, celebrate life and create lasting memories.
