Thursday 6th August – Summer Hang Out
A fun, relaxed afternoon for families, with a Bouncy castle, crafts, garden games, Lego, drinks and cakes. Children must be supervised by an adult. At Longmeadow Evangelical Church, Oaks Cross, Broadwater, Stevenage, SG2 8LT. Thursday 6th August from 2pm – 4pm.
Friday 7th August – Herts Summer Parks
Completely free for young people aged 12–16 years. Activities change weekly but include inflatables, lyrical writing, climbing, graffiti art, football, jewellery making, archery, gaming/VR and more. Free food vouchers redeemable at local vendors. From 3pm – 6pm. At King George V Playing Fields, Sish Lane, SG1 3LS.

Come along and discover all that the Stevenage indoor market has to offer, at Boston House, Park Place Chambers, Stevenage, SG1 1AY. Saturdays from 8.30am – 5.30pm.
Saturday 8th August – Stevenage Parkrun
A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog or run. The event takes place at Six Hills Way, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, SG2 0BL. The meeting point is the bandstand area to the west of the start point, this is a large open area where the course brief will also take place. Saturdays from 9am, for further information click here
Sunday 9th August – Stevenage Junior Parkrun
A free, fun, and friendly weekly 2k event for juniors 4-14 year olds. The event takes place at Hampson Park, Webb Rise, Stevenage, SG1 5QU. Sundays from 9am, for further information click here Every week they grab a post parkrun coffee in Hampson Park Coffee Shop in the Community Centre.
Wednesday 12th August – Reading Group
Join this friendly social group for refreshments and good conversation. We can chat about reading, or anything and everything. It’s all about sharing stories and making new friends. Friday 21st August – Turning Point: Art for Wellbeing
Free art for wellbeing workshops are for adults experiencing mental health or emotional difficulties. They will support you to improve your wellbeing, reconnect with your creativity, and build confidence through making art. Saturday 22nd August – Motown by Moonlight
Get ready for a magical evening in Knebworth Gardens of Motown by Moonlight on Saturday 22nd August from 7.30pm. Put on your dancing shoes as the sun goes down to the sound of Young America and party to the timeless tunes of Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin and many more. Bring along your own chairs, blankets, and a picnic, and settle in for a great experience. Their Garden Terrace Tea Room will be open, offering a tempting selection of treats and refreshments. Sunday 23rd August – Dog Watch Doggie Day
Returning again for 2026 is the Stevenage Dog Watch Doggie Day with fun dog show. As always there will be rosettes and prizes. We also have plenty of other fun activities going on such as dog agility, loads of kids games, raffle, tombola and charity stalls. All profits made go directly to charity. Come and join this end of summer music festival, at the Chequers Beerhouse, High Street, Stevenage, SG1 3LL. Live music from a variety of artists, unlimited ales and food choices, plus BBQ. Friday 28th – Monday 31st August.
Sunday 30th and Monday 31st August – Classic Motor Show
Set in the beautiful grounds of Knebworth House with hundreds of classic and collectable vehicles taking part each day, the Knebworth Classic Motor Show is not to be missed. There will be a large number of static displays to see, as well as a show arena hosting stunning parades. Vehicles include saloons, sports, American, commercial, military and classic motorcycles. Their team of judges will be in attendance to select the winners with an award ceremony taking place in the arena around 3pm. Motoring history will be brought to life for all the family to enjoy. There will children’s entertainment and live vintage music, as well as a DJ playing 50s, 60s and 70s hits throughout the day. Knebworth House will put on a range of hot food options, and the cafe will also be open throughout the show. You can also browse the many fantastic shopping stalls, with traders offering a wide range of lovely items. There are also plenty of activities for families including face painting, bouncy castles, radio controlled truck racing and circus skills workshop. Thursday 10th September – Barry Steele’s Roy Orbison Story: The Platinum Years
Celebrate the timeless music of Roy Orbison in an unforgettable evening starring Barry Steele, renowned for his remarkable vocal likeness and acclaimed live performances. Featuring all the classic hits, including Only the Lonely, Crying, I Drove All Night, In Dreams, You Got It, Pretty Woman and many more, this spectacular production also includes an acclaimed accolade to The Traveling Wilburys, bringing together the music of George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Roy Orbison. Friday 11th September – Bat Walk
An exploration of the secretive communities of bats that live and feed in Astonbury Wood, Aston, North Stevenage, SG14 3RY. Following a short introductory talk you will be shown how to use a simple bat detector. You will then explore the different habitats and see how various bat species use them. Through the use of the detectors we will be able to “hear” the bat as they hunt for their insect prey. The walk will take approximately 1.5-2 hours and may cover muddy or uneven ground. Come and shop pre loved, good condition all things baby, kids and maternity with 20 stalls to browse. Free goody bag for the fist 100 shoppers through the door. Friday 30th October – Halloween in Concert
This atmospheric live concert show resurrects some of the greatest spooky hits ever recorded in one electrifying night. Featuring Monster Mash, Highway to Hell, The Time Warp, Running Up That Hill, Hungry Like the Wolf, Maneater, Bat Out of Hell, It’s a Kind of Magic, She Wolf and, of course, Thriller. Sunday 12th November – The Story of Guitar Heroes
The UK’s No.1 guitar anthems concert The Story of Guitar Heroes. This epic guitar-fest journeys through five decades of iconic music from 1950s Rock and Roll to the most influential guitar heroes of the modern era.
