Tuesday 22nd July – Tea and Toast
Out and about on a Tuesday from 10.30am – 12 noon, then why not pop in for some Tea/Coffee and Toast. Reconnect with old friends and make new ones. All are welcome. At St. Andrew and St. George, St. Georges Way, Stevenage, SG1 1XX.

Wednesday 23rd July – Board Game Group
The group meet in the front area of Stevenage Central Library, Southgate, Stevenage, SG1 1HD, to play scrabble and other board games. Free drop-in event. Every Wednesday from 2pm – 3.30pm.

Thursday 24th July – Baby Rhyme Time
These fun, half hour sessions of songs and rhymes are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are an opportunity for you to meet other families too. Thursdays from 9.15am – 9.45am. At Knebworth Community Library, St Martins Road, Knebworth, SG3 6ER.

Friday 25th July – Friday 29th August – Summer Beach
From Friday 25th July – Friday 29th August the seaside vibes are back at Stevenage. Relax in a deck chair, let the little ones enjoy the sand, and do not miss free face painting on 2nd, 16th and 23rd August from 12 noon – 3pm). Step inside the summer globe for the ultimate holiday snap.

Sunday 27th July – Big Summer Screen
Big Summer Screen is at the Event Island in Stevenage Town Centre. Grab your friends, family and head to the Event Island. It is free and there is no need to book, just turn up, grab a deck chair and enjoy. Sunday 27th July at various times.

Sunday 27th July – Weekend Stories
Storytime for under 8’s. This is a free, drop-in event at Stevenage Central Library, Southgate, Stevenage, SG1 1HD. Sunday from 2pm – 2.30pm. Every Sunday until the end of the year.

Friday 1st August – TrackPlay
A fun and entertaining time for kids who love trains. With over 500 feet of Track and over 100 Thomas and his friends trains to choose from. Kids will be raving about the experience for a long time . Wednesday 6th August – Reading Friends
Join our Reading Friends group on the first Wednesday of every month from 10.30am – 11.45am. Meet people and make new friend, and chat about books, hobbies and interests over a hot drink. At Stevenage Central Library, Southgate, Stevenage, SG1 1HD.

Thursday 7th August – Play Day
Join Stevenage Town Centre on the Event Island in Stevenage Town Centre, on Thursday 7th August from 12 noon – 4pm, for an afternoon packed with free kids’ activities to keep the whole family entertained. Free event.

Thursday 14th August – Ghost Tour and Bat Walk
On Thursday 14th August from 6pm, there will be a unique opportunity to tour Knebworth House, Knebworth Park, Stevenage, SG1 2AX, at night and hear the tales of the incidents they cannot explain. Visit areas where the resident presences have been detected. The evening will include a house tour featuring ghost stories; volunteers from The Herts and Middlesex Bat Group will give a talk and will bring in specialist equipment to detect the bats’ high-pitched screech, which helps guests to locate them; and refreshments will be served at Knebworth Barns. Thursday 4th September – Paul Zerdin: Jaw Drop Tour
Get ready for a night of laughter and jaw-dropping entertainment with the Paul Zerdin. As a former America’s Got Talent winner, Paul promises an evening of top-notch stand-up comedy and ventriloquism, including his famous human dummy routine with an exciting new twist. Stevenage Fire Station, Open Day, St George’s Way, Stevenage, SG1 1HS, is on Saturday 6th September from 10am – 3pm. With food stalls, safety advice, look around a fire engine and more.

Saturday 6th September – Wicked Outdoor Cinema Sing-A-Long
A bewitching outdoor cinema experience at Knebworth House, Knebworth Park, Stevenage SG1 2AX, with a Sing-A-Long showing of Wicked. Get your friends, family and loved ones together for some pure entertainment as you watch and singalong with the movie on a huge open-air screen in the stunning grounds of Knebworth House. Saturday 11th October – Ghost Hunt at The Cromwell
The building was originally a farmhouse, owned by John Thurloe, secretary to Oliver Cromwell. A foundation stone can be seen in the fireplace of Cromwell’s bar, dating 1667, although there are lots on uncertainties with regards to it’s origins. There is a history of spooky happenings around the building and poltergeist activity has been reported by both guests and staff alike. Rooms have been messed up, lights have been switched on and off, TV’s have been know to turn themselves on and off and hangers have been heard moving in wardrobes. Also reported are temperature changes and childrens laughter. Some have also experienced activity in the cellar. Saturday 11th October, arrival time is 7.30pm and they finish at 1.30am. Sunday 2nd November – A Fairy-tale for Christmas
‘Tis the season to be jolly as the ultimate Irish Christmas concert is back. Friday 21st November – Sunday 23rd November – Knebworth Christmas Fair
The Knebworth Christmas Fair will be returning to the Barns and Marquees at Knebworth House for a three day event on Friday 21st, Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd November from 9.30am – 4pm. The Knebworth Christmas Fair is the region’s biggest festive shopping event, packed with Christmas gifts, presents for all ages and delicious festive food & drink, this really is a festive event that everyone can enjoy.
