Wednesday 14th October – Reading Group
Join this friendly social group for refreshments and good conversation. We can chat about reading, or anything and everything. It’s all about sharing stories and making new friends. Thursday 15th October – Herts Musical Memories
Herts Musical Memories sessions bring people together through the power of music, memories and singing. Whether you are living with dementia, supporting a loved one, or simply enjoy singing and meeting new people, these friendly sessions are a wonderful opportunity to sing along, share memories and enjoy time together. Come along, grab a cuppa and a snack, and settle in before the singing begins. Thursdays from 1.45pm – 3.15pm, at Knebworth Village Hall, Park Lane, Knebworth, SG3 6PD. Saturday 17th October – Stevenage Parkrun
A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog or run. The event takes place at Six Hills Way, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, SG2 0BL. Saturday 24th October – Saturday 31st October – Halloween Spookfest
Spookfest events run from Saturday 24th October – Saturday 31st October, come and meet the animals and enjoy wonderful rustic creepy fun. Geared towards families so ‘spooky’ rather than ‘terrifying’, all ages are welcome. Spooky Farm trail, Pumpkin picking and carving, Trick or Treating in their spooky wood (4pm – 6pm). Tuesday 27th October – Ghouls, Spells and Broomsticks
Children’s Halloween party, filled with bubbling potions, spooky crafts and broomstick races. A fun-filled afternoon of half-term creativity, with Halloween creations and a special party memory to take home. Fancy dress is very welcome. Friday 30th October – Halloween in Concert
This atmospheric live concert show resurrects some of the greatest spooky hits ever recorded in one electrifying night. Featuring Monster Mash, Highway to Hell, The Time Warp, Running Up That Hill, Hungry Like the Wolf, Maneater, Bat Out of Hell, It’s a Kind of Magic, She Wolf and, of course, Thriller. Expect big vocals, killer moves and maybe even some Dancing in the Moonlight as you celebrate the magic of Halloween. Something spooky is coming to this Indoor Market. Free face painting (11am – 3pm), come and get your faces painted ready for trick or treating. Sunday 12th November – The Story of Guitar Heroes
The UK’s No.1 guitar anthems concert The Story of Guitar Heroes. This epic guitar-fest journeys through five decades of iconic music from 1950s Rock and Roll to the most influential guitar heroes of the modern era. The Story of Guitar Heroes utilises no less than 35 authentic guitars, recreating the unique sounds of each guitar legend with incredible accuracy. Sunday 15th November – Christmas in Ireland
This Christmas, experience the heart, humour and spirit of Ireland, with Christmas in Ireland. Stevenage’s favourite comic, Aidan O’ Neill returns this Christmas as Herbie the Huntsman in this truly wicked pantomime adventure, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. From the same team that brought you last year’s smash-hit, Dick Whittington and his Cat, this year’s fairy-tale pantomime promises thrills and spills for all the family. These interactive story sessions are perfect for pre-school children to enjoy with their parent/carer. Join in with a mix of picture book stories and rhymes. Thursday 7th January – Baby Rhyme Time
These fun, half hour sessions of songs and rhymes are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are a great opportunity for you to meet other families too. Baby Rhyme Time is free although donations are welcome. No booking required. For the comfort and safety of families they may have to limit numbers so entry to a session cannot be guaranteed.
