Monday 8th December – Craft Club

Open to all, drop in, bring your current project or just have a chat over a cuppa. Every second Monday of the month from 10.30am – 12 noon. At Bishop’s Stortford Library, The Causeway, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 2EJ.


Tuesday 9th December – Craft and chatter

Bring your art and craft projects, or come and have a go in the company of others, at this craft and chatter group on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 10.30am – 12.30pm. At Bishop’s Stortford Methodist Church, 34b South Street, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 3AZ.


Wednesday 10th December – Special Cup

Join Bishop’s Stortford Methodist Church, 34B South Street, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 3AZ, every week on a Wednesday from 12 noon – 4pm. They do a bring and share lunch, have a good chat and then play games. Come make new friends or meet with old ones.


Thursday 11th December – Coffee Morning

Come along to a very popular coffee morning, with homemade cakes and scones, fresh coffee and a place to meet friends or make new ones. Every Thursday from 10am – 12 noon, At Bishop’s Stortford Methodist Church, South Street, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 3AZ.


Thursday 11th December – Compassionate Café

This supportive space is perfect for carers to connect, share, and find support. Whether you are seeking a friendly chat or helpful resources. At  Bishop’s Stortford Methodist Church, 34b South Street, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 3AZ. Thursdays from 2pm – 4pm until at least the end of March 2026.


Saturday 13th December – Teen Book Group

Run by My Voice volunteers, this group will be held every Saturday from 3pm – 4pm. Come along to discuss what you have been reading and have a chat. There will be snacks. It is free to pop along to these sessions and all are welcome. At Bishop’s Stortford Library, The Causeway, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 2EJ.


Tuesday 16th December – Knit and Natter

Knit and natter on the first and third Tuesday of the month from 10am – 12 noon at Bishop’s Stortford Methodist Church, 34b South Street, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 3AZ.


Saturday 13th December – Christmas Tree Concert

A programme of festive music played by the brass band and some carols to sing along to. They will take donations for refreshments for the local Winter Night Shelter at Holy Trinity Church. At Bishop’s Stortford Methodist Church, 34B South Street, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 3AZ. Saturday 13th December from 7.30pm, tickets are £10 on the door, under 12’s free.


Wednesday 17th December – Christmas Kids Club

Join The Crown Inn, Elsenham Cross Cottage, Elsenham, Bishop’s Stortford, CM22 6DG, on Wednesday 17th December from 3.30pm – 5pm, for a fun-filled festive afternoon. Make your own gingerbread house, enjoy arts and crafts, with snack and drink included.


On now until – Wednesday 24th December – Santa’s Grotto

Santa is so excited to see you this holiday season, he’s left the elves in charge of toy-making while he makes a special trip to South Mill Arts, South Road, Bishop’s Stortford CM23 3JG, on the first three weekends of December and then Monday 22nd – Wednesday 24th December at various times. Begin your festive adventure with a fun and creative craft activity, perfect for getting into the holiday spirit. Then, journey down to meet Santa Claus himself. Stories and rhymes which pre-schoolers will love. This activity is free, but donations are welcome. At Bishop’s Stortford Library, The Causeway, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 2EJ, Fridays from 10.30am – 11.30am.


On now until – Friday 2nd January – Snow White

The fairest pantomime of them all comes to South Mill Arts, South Road, Bishop’s Stortford CM23 3JG, Journey to a magical land where brave princes and wicked witches dwell, and join Snow White on her fantastic adventure. Friday 28th November – Friday 2nd January at various times. This professional production features a cast of all singing, all dancing West End performers and promises music, laughter and lots of audience participation. The performance on Sunday 28th December at 11am is a relaxed performance, ideal for those who would benefit from a more comfortable environment, with the lights a bit brighter and the sound slightly softer. To book click here


Monday 5th January – Baby Group

Meet other families with young babies and the Family Support Team in a friendly environment. During this session there will be time to play and discover more about your baby’s development as well as support your wellbeing as a new parent. At Little Squirrels Family Centre, Windhill, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 2PA. Mondays from 10am – 11.30am. Chargeable drop in, £1.50 per family.


Tuesday 6th January – Baby Rhyme Time

Join Bishop’s Stortford Library, The Causeway, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 2EJ, for 30 minutes of songs and rhymes. This activity is free, but donations are welcome. Whilst booking is not necessary, please be aware that they have a maximum capacity, and may have to restrict entry for the comfort and safety of all. Tuesdays from 10.15am – 11.45am.


Wednesday 7th January – Active Rhyme Time

Fun, active rhymes and songs for your baby and toddler. A great way to meet other families and develop your child’s communication and physical skills. Siblings welcome. Chargeable drop in, £2.50 per family. Wednesdays from 10am – 11am, at Little Squirrels Family Centre, Windhill, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 2PA.

Friday 9th January – SEND Chat and Play

These Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Chat and Play sessions are a great opportunity to come and meet other families going through a similar journey, in a relaxed environment. Their SEND Champions are on hand to talk to you about the services we offer, signpost to different organisations or to simply act as a listening ear. All are welcome whether your child is diagnosed or you are concerned about a possible need. They have toys out for the children, or you can come by yourself. Fridays from 1.30pm – 2.30pm.

Saturday 31st January – Buddy Holly and the Cricketers

All Holly’s hits and classics from his rock ’n’ roll pals are played live on stage by these five amazing young actor-musicians, who always delight crowds with their fabulous show. At South Mill Arts Centre, South Road, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 3JG. Featuring raw rock ’n’ roll, beautifully haunting ballads, energetic performances, and some genuinely hilarious moments. Wednesday 15th April – Cyber Crime and Fraud Awareness

This free drop-in event features talks from Hertfordshire Police, Hertfordshire County Council Trading Standards and Beacon Victim Care, as well as opportunities to ask questions of cyber and fraud crime prevention experts. Get advice on keeping your devices and accounts safe through passwords and 2-step verification, get better at spotting phishing and social engineering, keep up to date with the latest online, phone, email and text scams, and more.
