Monday 4th December – LEGO Club for Children

LEGO fun for children 5+ (under 8s must be accompanied by a parent or carer). Places are limited so booking at the library is essential. Every first Monday of the month from 4pm – 5pm. At Rickmansworth Library, High Street, Rickmansworth, WD3 1EH.


Tuesday 5th December – Physical Fun

A free fun, 90 minute active session suitable for children aged 18 months plus. Come and meet other local families and enjoy lots of fun games and play opportunities to support your child with their physical development. Older siblings welcome. Tuesdays from 10.30am – 12 noon. Tuesday 5th December – Nattercraft

Come for a chat, activities and tea and biscuits, every Tuesday from 10.30am – 12 noon. At Rickmansworth Library, High Street, Rickmansworth, WD3 1EH.


Tuesday 5th December – Baby Rhyme Time

These fun, half hour sessions of songs and rhymes are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are an opportunity for you to meet other families too. Every Tuesday at 10.30am – 11am. At Croxley Green Library, Barton Way, Croxley Green, WD3 3HB.


Tuesday 5th December –  Sling and Reusable Nappy Support

Stork and Bees Baby Sling Library run monthly sling and reusable nappy library sessions at Croxley Green Library, Barton Way, Croxley Green, WD3 3HB. These sessions involve one to one session with a Carrying Consultant giving tips and advise on suggested slings which can be tried on the day. The next is Tuesday 5th December from 11am – 1pm. Wednesday 6th December – Baby Group

Meet other families with young babies in a supportive, stimulating and friendly environment. During the free 90 minute session there will be time for babies to play, discover more about their development and support your wellbeing as a new parent. Wednesday weekly from 10.30am – 12 noon. Tuesday 5th December – Croxley Green Local Area Forum

The Croxley Green Local Area Forum takes place on Tuesday 5th December from 7.30 pm. The venue is Harvey Road Primary School, Croxley Green, WD3 3BN.


Thursday 7th December – Warm Winter Space

Hot drinks, cakes and biscuits will be provided at this warm winter space in the church hall at St John the Evangelist, Mill End, every Thursday afternoon from 2pm – 4pm.


Thursday 7th December – Team Rickmansworth: Men’s Walk and Talk Group

Come along to this weekly peer to peer men’s walk and talk group, and help bring an end to the stigma of men’s mental health. Thursdays from 7pm. Meeting outside Rickmansworth Train Station, WD3 1QY.


Friday 8th – Sunday 31st December – Sleeping Beauty

 This spectacular show promises to be full of surprises with special effects, fun, laughter, music and dance along the way in this year’s hilarious pantomime. Saturday 9th December – Rickmansworth Parkrun

A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate, every Saturday at 9am. The event takes place at Rickmansworth Aquadrome, Frogmoor Lane, Rickmansworth, WD3 1NB. For further information click here


Saturday 9th December – First Aid for Babies

Baby and Child First Aid course at Croxley Green Baptist Church Hall, Baldwins Lane, Croxley Green WD3 3LH on Saturday 9th December from 10am – 1pm. A trainer from award winning Daisy First Aid will bring models so you can have a go at CPR etc. To book click here


Saturday 9th December – LEGO Club

LEGO Club is suitable for children age 5-12 years old. Each session children will work on a different project, from creating 2D Lego Comics to racing cars to marble run mazes. Saturday 9th December – Christmas Market

This year’s Christmas Market promises to be a winter wonderland, complete with seasonal delights, live music, and festive cheer. To make this event even more extraordinary, they are offering a unique opportunity to local businesses to showcase their products and crafts. Join in at this Croxley Green’s Festive Christmas Market on Saturday 9th December from 2.30pm – 6pm.


Sunday 10th December – TrackPlay

A fun day of playing with over 500 feet of Thomas track and over 100 engines to choose from. Let your kids experience a fun day with Thomas and his friends. Sunday 10th December at various times. Monday 11th December – Bumps and Babies

At this December Bumps and babies, as well as a chance to chat to and get to know other new parents and have a cup of tea made for you, they will be joined for the first time by Marianne from Mini Mozart to entertain you all with her live music programme including Piano accompaniment, orchestral music, bubbles and games. Friday 15th December – Winter Warmers Choir Concert

Rickmansworth Players Choir and Welwyn Harmony Chorus join force to present to you Winter Warmers Christmas Concert. Set in the wonderful acoustics of Christ Church Chorleywood, Rickmansworth, WD3 5SG. Saturday 16th December – Santa Sleigh

The Santa Sleigh this year will be collecting for The William Low Trust, Cardiac Risk in the Young, Mission Employable and Harrow MS Therapy Centre, they will be parked in the Tesco’s Car Park, Harefield Road, Rickmansworth, most of the day. Saturday 16th December – Jack and the Beanstalk

Sunday 31st December – Sleeping Beauty

Watersmeet Theatre, High Street, Rickmansworth, WD3 1EH are holding a relaxed performance of Sleeping Beauty on Sunday 31st December from 11am. Relaxed performances are designed to create an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere for people who find the usual theatre environment stressful, such as pre-school age children, those with an autism spectrum condition, learning disability or sensory/communication disorder and their families to engage with live performance and theatre.

Tickets for this relaxed performance can only be bought over the phone or at the theatre to give you the opportunity to discuss your individual needs and see how the theatre can accommodate them. Friday 5th January – Knit and Natter

The group is for all levels of knitters/crocheters alike, and is free to attend. Just bring your needles and yarn and join in the chat around the table. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided midway through the session, no booking is required, but spaces are limited. Every Friday from 10am – 12 noon. Thursday 11th January – Winter Wildfowl Guided Walk

On this family friendly walk, learn about all aspects of winter wildlife around Stocker’s Lake Nature Reserve, Rickmansworth Aquadrome, Rickmansworth, WD3 1NB. They will cover mammal tracks and signs, bird ID tips, see where Water Voles live, learn about diving and dabbling ducks plus use telescopes to spot herons, egrets, lapwings and do their best to see kingfishers.

Perfect for families and suitable for beginners. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult at all times. This event is weather dependent and may need to be cancelled at short notice. Thursday 11th January from 10am – 12 noon. To book click here
