Saturday 27th July – Rickmansworth Parkrun

A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate, every Saturday at 9am. The event takes place at Rickmansworth Aquadrome, Frogmoor Lane, Rickmansworth, WD3 1NB. For further information click here


Saturday 27th July – Tesco Summer Roadshow

Free outdoor summer food roadshow. Be inspired by a delicious range of food and drink to try and discover fun ways to celebrate fun & flavour this summer. Discover affordable, delicious food and savvy ways to enjoy an outdoor get together with family and friends come rain or shine. Saturday 27th July from 12 noon – 6.30pm. Saturday 27th – Sunday 28th July – Roger the Historic Working Canal Boat 

Take a tour of Roger the historic working canal boat with Rickmansworth Waterways Trust and see for yourself what it would have been like working and living on one of these barges in the late 1800’s early 1900’s. Discover what it was like to live on a narrowboat as a Victorian. Narrowboat ‘Roger’ will be at Batchworth Lock in Rickmansworth. Pop down there to take a tour and learn about life on the canal. Sunday 28th July – Rickmansworth Market

Rickmansworth love your high street market is back on Sunday 28th July from 10.30am – 2.30pm. Food, art, craft, fun, beauty, jewellery and sustainable goods.


Monday 29th July – CPR Demonstrations 

St John Ambulance in conjunction with Batchworth Community Council will be providing free demonstrations of CPR and the use of defibrillators at Basing House, Rickmansworth, on Monday 29th July from 7pm. All demonstrations will last for about an hour and a half. Attendance is limited to a maximum of 15 for each session and advance booking is required. Please contact Simon on [email protected]


Tuesday 30th July – Chatter and Natter

Chatter and Natter tables are where customers can sit if they are happy to talk to other customers, often a volunteer normally hosts. At The Kitchen Croxley, 198 Watford Rd, Croxley Green, Rickmansworth WD3 3DB, Tuesdays from 10am – 12 noon.


Tuesday 30th July – Nattercraft

Come and have a chat and a laugh whilst getting stuck into a craft or activity. You can bring your own activity/craft or get stuck in with ones provided. Tuesdays from 10am – 12 noon.


Wednesday 31st July – Back To Netball

Back to netball sessions are coach led and cover basic skill development and court play. The emphasis of these sessions is on learning new skills and having fun playing Netball with friends. Every Wednesday from 8pm – 9pm during term time, at St Clement Danes School, Chenies Road, Chorleywood, WD3 6EW. To book click here


Friday 2nd August – Compassionate Cafe

Compassionate Cafés are a place where people who have experienced a loss, such as a bereavement, can pop in for a cuppa, a cake, and a friendly person to talk to. It provides a safe environment for individuals to come together, have a friendly chat, and connect with others who may share similar experiences. First Friday of each month from 10am – 11am, at The Kitchen, 198 Watford Road, Croxley Green, WD3 3DB.


Friday 2nd August – Knit and Natter

The group is for all levels of knitters/crocheters alike, and is free to attend. Just bring your needles and yarn and join in the chat around the table. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided midway through the session, no booking is required, but spaces are limited. Every Friday from 10am – 12 noon. At Croxley Green Library, Barton Way, Croxley Green, WD3 3HB.


Saturday 3rd August – Saturday Storytime

These fun, half hour sessions of songs, rhymes, drawing and colouring in are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are an opportunity for you to meet other families too. For children 2 – 5 years. Every first Saturday of the month from 11am – 11.30am. At Rickmansworth Library, High Street, Rickmansworth, WD3 1EH.


Saturday 3rd August – Guild Fest

The annual Guild Fest is coming back on Saturday 3rd August from 2pm – 6pm. They have stalls, art and craft, toys, snacks, games Amazon mystery parcels and much more. There will be a BBQ, a DJ in the day and Sliding Doors duo from 8pm. At Croxley Guild Of Sports and Social Club, Sports Pavillion , The Green, Rickmansworth,WD3 3HT.


Tuesday 6th August – Teddy Bear Picnic

All are welcome to join this teddy bears picnic at the Mill End Community Centre, Old School Building, Church Lane, Mill End, Rickmansworth, WD3 8HD. Bring your favourite teddy bear and enjoy a morning of fun activities, games, and treats. Do not forget to pack a picnic lunch and some extra snacks to share with your new friends. Wednesday 7th August – Booster Cushion Children’s Theatre

Booster Cushion Children’s Theatre is at Croxley Green Library, Barton Way, Croxley Green, Rickmansworth, WD3 3HB, to give another amazing one-man performance. It is ‘Peter Pan and Captain Cook’ and will be happening on Saturday 7th August from 11am. You can book at the library.


Wednesday 14th August – Memory Cafe

If you know of anyone who is living with dementia or memory loss, please let them know about this café. They will have activities, refreshments, cake and a safe place talk. Every second Wednesday of the month from 11am – 12.30pm. At Riverside Lodge, 44 Church Street, Rickmansworth, WD3 1JE.


Friday 16th August – Tots Tennis

Tots Tennis is for 2-4 year olds. It will consist of lots of fun, colourful equipment and games whilst improving their hand-eye coordination and motor skills. It is a great way to introduce your little one to tennis. They have two sessions on Friday 16th August from 10.30am – 11am and 11am – 11.30am. Saturday 7th September – Croxfest

Croxfest is a yearly one day music festival in Croxley Green held on The Green, Croxley Green, Rickmansworth, WD3 3HY. It is free for all to attend and enjoy a varied line-up of acts in a family-friendly atmosphere. Saturday 7th September from 12 noon – 8pm. For further information click here

Tennis lessons starting in September for all ages and abilities. Fridays from 5pm – 5.45 (4-7 year olds), 5.45pm – 6.30pm (7-9 year olds) and 6.30pm – 7.30pm (10 – 13 year olds and 14+). Saturday 21st September – Fruit Picking and Pressing

Croxley Green parish council invites you to a delightful, free fruit picking and pressing event at Stone’s Orchard in Croxley Green. Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature as you handpick the juiciest fruits straight from the trees. Learn the art of pressing and enjoy the satisfaction of turning nature’s bounty into deliciously fresh juice. Saturday 21st September from 10am – 1pm.


Sunday 6th October – Charity Dog Show and Fete

Show off your pooch’s unique talents and win fabulous prizes while supporting a worthy cause. From cutest puppy to best trick, there’s a category for every canine champion. Do not miss this opportunity to celebrate your four-legged companions and contribute to Charities Herts Musical Memories and Herts Carer’s. Sunday 24th November – Five Star Swing at Christmas

Swing into Christmas with the unique Five Star Swing Band show. Enjoy all your favourite Christmas songs with the dynamic swing band treatment from Glenn Miller, Sinatra, Basie, Nat King Cole, jazzing up those Jingle Bells.  This is a tribute show and is no way affiliated with any original artists/estates/management companies or similar shows.
