Sunday 7th December – Repair Cafe

Join Croxley Green Parish Council on the first Sunday of every month from 10am – 1pm (until end of November) for their Repair Café, a community event dedicated to reducing waste and giving your broken items a new lease on life. No booking needed, just drop in and enjoy a friendly, sustainable way to repair and reuse. Small electrical items (lamps, kettles, toasters, etc.). Furniture repairs (loose joints, minor fixes). Bike maintenance (brakes, punctures, adjustments). Clothing and textiles (patching, hemming, button replacements). Basic tech fixes (software issues, minor hardware adjustments). Monday 8th December – Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea at Mill End Community Centre, Old School Building, Church Lane, Mill End, Rickmansworth, WD3 8HD. A warm and welcoming afternoon filled with delicious cakes, hot drinks and warm soup or a small hearty winter meal. With winter warm blankets, hats, gloves, and socks, plus friendly advice and support on how to stay warm and well this winter. Monday 8th December from 1pm – 3pm.


Tuesday 9th December – Nattercraft

Come and have a chat and a laugh whilst getting stuck into a craft or activity. You can bring your own activity/craft or get stuck in with ones provided. Tuesdays from 10am – 12 noon. This is held at the Scout Hut, 32 Ebury road, Rickmansworth, WD3 1AY.


Friday 12th December – Christmas Laser Show and Fair.

A stunning laser lights show choreographed to Christmas music. There will be food vans serving pizzas and a bar as well as hot drinks. Plus fun stalls, games, crafts and more. Everybody is welcome so come and enjoy lots of fun and get into the festive spirit whilst supporting your local community. Saturday 13th December – A Choral Christmas

Monday 22nd December – Walk and Talk

A leisurely stroll around the lakes of Rickmansworth Aquadrome, Frogmore Lane, Rickmansworth, WD3 1NB. Meet at the tree between the cafe and the car park for a buggy friendly walk together with volunteer Gail and her baby, who will be wearing an NCT high vis or a lanyard. They will set off around 2.10pm clockwise around Bury Lake. To book click here

Christmas cafe at Mill End Community Centre, Old School Building, Church Lane, Mill End, Rickmansworth, WD3 8HD. Pop in and share the Christmas cheer with free coffee or tea and delicious breakfast cakes. Tuesday 23rd December from 9am.

On now until – Saturday 3rd January – Christmas Tree Festival

Experience a magical display of beautifully decorated Christmas trees created by those in the local community. Bring your friends and family and step into the festive spirit. Tuesday 6th January – Stay and Play

A fun session with various activities and resources for children. There’s a special area for babies with family support staff available to help, plus the chance to socialise with other parents and carers. Siblings Welcome. Tuesdays from 10.15am – 11.45am, at Mill End Community Centre, Old School Building, Church Lane, Mill End, Rickmansworth, WD3 8HD. Chargeable drop in £2.50 per family.

Thursday 8th January – Crafty All Sorts

Come along for crafting, chat and cake every Thursday from 12 noon – 2pm, at Royal British Legion Club, Ebury Road, Rickmansworth WD3 1BN. Until at least end of August 2026.


Saturday 10th January – Winter Wildfowl Workshop

An inspiring introduction to the wildfowl that makes Stocker’s Lake Nature Reserve their winter home. You will learn how to confidently identify a variety of wildfowl, from dabbling ducks to migrating geese, in a relaxed, beginner-friendly setting. You will begin with an informative presentation at Mill End Hall, then head out together for a guided walk around Stocker’s Lake to put your new skills into practice. 24 fabulous dancers have been selected and will have spent ten weeks training with professional tutors to perfect their dazzling routines. Now, it’s time for the grand finale.
