Tuesday 22nd October – Nattercraft

Come and have a chat and a laugh whilst getting stuck into a craft or activity. You can bring your own activity/craft or get stuck in with ones provided. Tuesdays from 10am – 12 noon.


Tuesday 22nd October – Chatter and Natter

Chatter and Natter tables are where customers can sit if they are happy to talk to other customers, often a volunteer normally hosts. At The Kitchen Croxley, 198 Watford Rd, Croxley Green, Rickmansworth WD3 3DB, Tuesdays from 10am – 12 noon.


Tuesday 22nd October – Physical Fun

A free fun, 90 minute active session suitable for children aged 18 months plus. Come and meet other local families and enjoy lots of fun games and play opportunities to support your child with their physical development. Older siblings welcome. Tuesday 22nd October – An evening with Kate Humble

Join TV Presenter and author Kate Humble as she chats about her new cookery book Home Made, a collection of simple and sustainable recipes from farm to table. Featuring inspiring stories from 20 people, Home Made celebrates everyone who makes and grows the food we eat. Friday 25th October – Friday 20th December – Beginner’s Running Course

This beginner’s running course focuses on building stamina, improving technique, and preventing injury. Under the guidance of a trained instructor and in a friendly group environment, you will start with short, manageable sessions, such as 20-30 minutes of alternating between walking and running. Gradually increasing your running intervals while maintaining good form. All sessions incorporate a proper warm-up and cool-down routine, including stretches to enhance flexibility.

Friday 25th October – Knit and Natter

The group is for all levels of knitters/crocheters alike, and is free to attend. Just bring your needles and yarn and join in the chat around the table. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided midway through the session, no booking is required, but spaces are limited. Every Friday from 10am – 12 noon. Friday 25th October – Friday Night Youth Club

Come join William Penn Leisure Centre, Shepherds Lane, Mill End, Rickmansworth, WD3 8JN, on Fridays from 6pm – 8pm and have fun with your mates. Play football on the 3G, or come indoors and take part in Badminton, Basketball, Table Tennis and more. Scan the QR code to sign up or book in centre. For young people 8-11years.


Saturday 26th October – Rickmansworth Parkrun

A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate, every Saturday at 9am. The event takes place at Rickmansworth Aquadrome, Frogmoor Lane, Rickmansworth, WD3 1NB. For further information click here


Sunday 27th October – Diwali: Festival of Lights

Join Croxley Green Parish Council’s first-ever Diwali celebration, the Festival of Lights. This exciting event will bring together the community for an evening of cultural festivities, family-friendly activities, and vibrant performances to celebrate the spirit of Diwali. Live cultural performances from local community groups. Traditional family friendly activities including henna and arts and crafts.

Come and experience the joy of Diwali, at Croxley Green Library, Barton Way and New Road, WD3, with its rich traditions and message of light over darkness. Everyone is welcome to this free event, a perfect evening for families, friends, and the wider community to come together. Sunday 27th October from 5pm – 7.30pm, with the symbolic lighting of the birch trees along New Road at 7pm.


Monday 28th October – An Evening with: Anya Lautenbach

Tuesday 29th October – Family Fun

Fun sessions with a wide range of activities for you and your children to play together, meet other local families and the Family Centre team. In school holidays as well as lots for Under 5’s to enjoy, there will be activities for siblings up to the age of 8. Drop-in. Wednesday 30th and Thursday 31st October – Creepy Creatures

Come and visit Chorleywood Common, Common Road, Chorleywood, Rickmansworth, WD3 5LN, for a Spooky adventure, great for children of all ages. Sweet treat prize for all on completion. Friday 1st November – Compassionate Cafe

Compassionate Cafés are a place where people who have experienced a loss, such as a bereavement, can pop in for a cuppa, a cake, and a friendly person to talk to. It provides a safe environment for individuals to come together, have a friendly chat, and connect with others who may share similar experiences. First Friday of each month from 10am – 11am, at The Kitchen, 198 Watford Road, Croxley Green, WD3 3DB.


Friday 1st November – Pop-Up Fridays

Tuesday 5th November – Bumps and Babies

Join NCT Watford for their usual Bumps and Babies session. Take advantage of their photoshoot and baby hands and feet casting opportunity on this day or you are welcome to come just come for tea/coffee, biscuits and chat. Tuesday 5th November – Sarratt Fireworks

Thursday 7th November – The Proper Blokes Club

The Proper Blokes Club is for men in need of a talk, a community project for men’s mental health. The main aim is to break the stigma of men’s mental health and start talking openly about it. Sunday 10th November -TrackPlay

A fun and entertaining event for kids who love trains. With over 500 feet of Track and over 100 Thomas and his friends trains to choose from. Kids will be raving about the experience for a long time. Book a time slot to suit and then on the day sit back and enjoy a hot drink whilst the kids all have fun with trains. Memory Café at Chorleywood Manor Care Home, High View, Chorleywood, Rickmansworth, WD3 5TQ. Every 2nd Tuesday of the month from 10am – 12 noon.


Wednesday 13th November – Memory Cafe

Saturday 16th November – Becoming Dad

Becoming Dad is an inclusive information session for new and expectant fathers to help them to connect with and understand their babies’ needs. Supported by trained facilitators from the Family Support Service, this session offers expectant and new fathers an informal and relaxed space to talk through any thoughts and challenges dad-to-dad as they transition into parenthood. This is a hands-on session where your baby aged 0 – 1 year comes too. Wednesday 27th November – Christmas Lights Switch On

A magical evening of festive cheer at the Croxley Green Library Forecourt, Barton Way, Croxley Green, Rickmansworth WD3 3HB, on Wednesday 27th November from 5.30pm – 6.30pm, as they celebrate the start of the holiday season. Led by the wonderful Churches Together Choir, they will be singing all your favourite Christmas carols. The highlight of the evening will be the Christmas Tree Lights Switch-On at 6pm, illuminating the forecourt.


Thursday 28th November – Christmas Fair

Fabulous stalls for all of your gifts, crafts, wreaths, jewellery and cards. Price includes mulled wine and mince pies, with live music, a bar, BBQ and wonderful gifts. Children are free.
