Saturday 10th October – Big Girl Pants
A hilarious and heartbreaking one-woman show, Big Girl Pants, is coming to Woodoaks Farm, Denham Way, Maple Cross, Rickmansworth, WD3 9XQ, on Saturday 10th October from 7pm. Written and performed by Lynn Beaumont, this is her story; a fierce, funny and tender memoir tracking Lynn’s life with her late husband, Ricky Beaumont. The play jumps through timelines; from their whirlwind showbiz romance, to Ricky’s diagnosis, to putting the ‘fun’ into funerals. This play takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions, but ultimately is a hopeful celebration of love and resilience in the face of profound loss. Tuesday 13th October – Nattercraft
Join this social inclusion group every Tuesday 10am – 12 noon. Open to adults, all welcome, bring your own crafts or just chat. Refreshments of tea and coffee will be provided. This is held at the Scout Hut, 32 Ebury road, Rickmansworth, WD3 1AY.

Tuesday 20th October – Slipper Swap
Slipper Swap events prevent slips and trips by picking up free slippers and getting lots of advice about staying safe and well in your home. You can pick up free anti-slip slippers, find out about local social groups and clubs you might enjoy, get advice from occupational therapists and other event partners, and book a Home Fire Safety visit with the Fire Service. Thursday 29th – Saturday 31st October – Halloween Story Boat Canal Trip
Climb aboard for a friendly-spooky storytelling cruise this half-term. Halloween tales, pumpkins and gentle chills on a narrowboat. Halloween themed fun and games afterwards. Cruise for 35 minutes along the canal and back. Listen as their storytellers share Halloween tales perfect for children. Dress if you like, little witches, ghosts and pumpkins all welcome. Sunday 1st November – Repair Cafe
Join Croxley Green Parish Council on the first Sunday of every month from 10am – 1pm (until end of November) for their Repair Café, a community event dedicated to reducing waste and giving your broken items a new lease on life. No booking needed, just drop in and enjoy a friendly, sustainable way to repair and reuse. Small electrical items (lamps, kettles, toasters, etc.). Furniture repairs (loose joints, minor fixes). These fun, half hour sessions of songs and rhymes are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are a great opportunity for you to meet other families too. Baby Rhyme Time is free although donations are welcome. No booking required. For the comfort and safety of families we may have to limit numbers so entry to a session cannot be guaranteed.
