Wednesday 1st May – Back To Netball

Back to netball sessions are coach led and cover basic skill development and court play. The emphasis of these sessions is on learning new skills and having fun playing Netball with friends. Every Wednesday from 8pm – 9pm during term time, at St Clement Danes School, Chenies Road, Chorleywood, WD3 6EW. To book click here


Friday 3rd May – Knit and Natter

The group is for all levels of knitters/crocheters alike, and is free to attend. Just bring your needles and yarn and join in the chat around the table. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided midway through the session, no booking is required, but spaces are limited. Every Friday from 10am – 12 noon. Friday 3rd May – Pop-Up Fridays

Come for a night of fun dancing to kick off the weekend at All Saints’ Church, The Green, Croxley Green, Rickmansworth, WD3 3HJ. Friday 3rd May from 8pm – 11pm.


Saturday 4th May – Rickmansworth Parkrun

A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate, every Saturday at 9am. The event takes place at Rickmansworth Aquadrome, Frogmoor Lane, Rickmansworth, WD3 1NB. For further information click here


Saturday 4th May – Saturday Storytime

These fun, half hour sessions of songs, rhymes, drawing and colouring in are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are an opportunity for you to meet other families too. For children 2 – 5 years. Every first Saturday of the month from 11am – 11.30am. At Rickmansworth Library, High Street, Rickmansworth, WD3 1EH.


Sunday 5th – Monday 6th May – Bluebells Walk and Pop Up Woodland Cafe

A sea of bluebells in a magical setting, especially when the sun breaks through the pale green of the tree canopy. There is an amazing walk around the woods as well as a pop up woodland cafe with hots and cold drinks and delicious cakes and some hot food. This is an ancient woodland, privately own and open for just these two days as a fundraiser for Mission EmployAble. Tuesday 7th May – Nattercraft

Come and have a chat and a laugh whilst getting stuck into a craft or activity. You can bring your own activity/craft or get stuck in with ones provided. Tuesdays from 10am – 12 noon.

Wednesday 8th May – Compost Giveaway

The council’s garden compost giveaway will take place at Rickmansworth Aquadrome, Frogmoor Lane, Rickmansworth, WD3 1NB, on Wednesday 8 May from 9.30am until compost runs out. Residents are asked to bring their own shovels and bags to fill.


Thursday 9th May – Page One

Wands at the ready, Page One is starting again in May, at Rickmansworth Library, High Street, WD3 1EH. Four sessions, every Thursday from 4pm – 5pm. For 7-11 year olds, all things Harry Potter. Book at the Library or call 0300 123 4049.


Saturday 11th May – Brush Party

Join Brush Party for a night of fun, painting and creativity at Rickmansworth and Watford Sea Cadets, Rickmansworth, WD3 3DG on Saturday 11th May from 7pm – 10pm to paint their fabulous theme Sakara Sunset. No experience required, all equipment provided. To book click here


Monday 13th May – Rickmansworth’s Lost Buildings

Rickmansworth’s Lost Buildings, a guided tour of Rickmansworth through history. revealing the buildings past and present that helped shape the history of the town. Monday 13th May from 10am. Meet at Rickmansworth Library, High Street, WD3 1EH.


Wednesday 15th May – Memory Cafe

Pop in to share your experiences, make new connections and enjoy a range of activities and refreshments. Created in partnership with Home Instead, Burford House, Rickmansworth Road Rickmansworth, WD3 5SQ, offers a welcoming and supportive environment for residents and visitors living with Dementia, through their drop in memory cafe sessions. Wednesday 15th May from 10.30am – 12.30pm. Next is 19th June.


Saturday 18th – Sunday 19th May – Batchworth Boat Rally

Following the cancellation of the Rickmansworth Festival due to circumstances preventing the use of the Aquadrome, a new group has been set up to ensure that the canal gathering can continue to go ahead as it will just be contained within the CRT areas. Tuesday 21st May – First Aid for Babies

Baby and Child First Aid course with a trainer from award winning Daisy First Aid who will bring models so you can have a go at CPR etc. Numbers will be limited to give you plenty of chance to ask questions in this three hour session.
