Saturday 2nd December – Christmas Market
Millars Maltings Christmas Market, will be on Saturday 2nd December from 9am – 4pm, at Millars Maltings, Southmill Road, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 3DH.

Saturday 2nd December – Christmas Fayre
Join Bishop’s Stortford Town Council at this year’s annual Christmas Fayre on Saturday 2nd December from 9.30am – 4.30pm, in North Street, Market Square, Potter Street, and South Street, all of which will be pedestrianised. Over 100 stalls will complement the regular traders from their Thursday and Saturday Market as well as the monthly Farmer’s and Craft Market.
You will be able to explore an exciting array of unique handmade gifts stalls, selling jewellery, candles, health and beauty products, and much more. You will be tempted by delicious locally made jams, chutney, cakes, and fudges. Make sure you visit their speciality Christmas stalls offering festive items and gifts, food, and drinks. Throughout the town centre there will be a variety of music and entertainment for the whole family and Santa will also be popping by.

Saturday 2nd December – ParkPlay
Cedars Park is hosting Hertfordshire’s first-ever ParkPlay, every Saturday from 10am – 12 noon. ParkPlay brings people from local communities together in parks and green spaces across the country for two hours of free play to enjoy informal games and activities. It offers people of all ages and abilities the chance to play together and connect in a relaxed, safe, and welcoming setting.
Cedars ParkPlay has been organised by Broxbourne Council, ParkPlay Herts Sport and Physical Activity Partnership and PlayLeaders from the local community, including Friends of Cedars Park and Time for Change.

Saturday 2nd December – Christmas Storytime
Bring your little ones to Bishop’s Stortford Library, The Causeway, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 2EJ, for a Christmas Storytime on Saturday 2nd December from 11am – 2pm. This is a free event, but donations are welcome.

Saturday 2nd December – Beauty and the Beast: Pop-Up Pantomime
Join Broxbourne Council for a magical Beauty and the Beast pop-up pantomime in Queen Eleanor Square, High Street, Waltham Cross, EN8 7BX, on Saturday 2nd December. Performance times, 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Bring your own chairs and blankets.

Sunday 3rd December – Cheshunt Park Junior Parkrun
Cheshunt Park Junior parkrun is a free, weekly, 2k run, walk, jog, dedicated to 4-14 year olds and their families, every Sunday morning from 9am.

Sunday 3rd December – Great Amwell Car Boot Sale
Completely flat, picturesque grassy field. Suitable for mobility scooters, wheelchairs and buggies. Fun for the kids with slides, bouncy castles and miniature rides every week. Sunday 3rd December – Christmas Kidzfair
A one-day event that provides young entrepreneurs, from 7-17 years, the opportunity to turn their idea into a real business, earn their own money, get prizes and recognition from a judging panel, and more importantly learn through experience. The event will take place in Bishop Stortford, Jackson Square, CM23 3XH. On Sunday 3rd December.
The young entrepreneurs will learn, how to create a simple business plan and what are cost, revenue and profit. The basics of branding, from coming up with a name to presenting the products. How to raise funds if required for the business, How to spread the word about the new business and the event and how to sell and speak to customers. To apply click here

Monday 4th December – Get back to Netball
Sessions are for female players over 16 years and coach led, covering basic skill development and court play. Every Monday from 9.30am – 10.30am. At Wormley Netball Courts, Wormley Playing Fields.

Come down and join this free Go SK8 sessions. Every Monday from 5pm – 6pm, at Wormley Community Centre, Fairfield Drive, Wormley, EN10 6DX. Suitable for ages 11-17 years.

Tuesday 5th December – Baby Rhyme Time
Come and join Bishop’s Stortford Library, The Causeway, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 2EJ, for Baby Rhyme Time, every Tuesday, two sessions available from 10.15am and 11.15am. Sing along and learn the actions, smiles and laughter with your little ones. This session is free but donations are welcome, no need to sign up in advance just come along and join us on the day.

Tuesday 5th December – Cyber and Fraud Aware

A chance to have a chat, join in with a jigsaw, try a sudokus or crossword, borrow a book or magazine, read a newspapers or explore the local history and map collection or if you just need a little time out, relax with a hot drink. Tuesday 5th December – Reading Group for Adults

Wednesday 6th December – Hoddesdon Market
Hoddesdon Market is under the Clocktower every Wednesday and Friday from 9am – 3.30pm, serving up all your favourite Sourdough Cheese Toasties, Freshly roasted Barista Coffee, Homemade Cookies and Brownies. Come along and buy some lovely freshly made food using locally sourced / made ingredients, helping to support a small business that supports other small local businesses.

Wednesday 6th December – Brunch and Board Games
A chance for people to come together, socialise and play games in a warm space, with the option of also purchasing a low-cost brunch and hot drinks from a local provider. Games are provided but you are more than welcome to bring your own to play too. Every Wednesday, sessions will be from 11am – 1pm at Wormley Community Centre, Fairfield Drive, Wormley, Broxbourne, EN10 6DX.

Wednesday 6th December – Pickleball
Stay active with Pickleball at the Laura Trott Leisure Centre, 44 Windmill Lane, Cheshunt, EN8 9AJ. Your first session is free and only £3 per sessions thereafter. No need to pre-book, just turn up and play. Every Wednesday from 1.45pm – 2.45pm.

Wednesday 13th December – Healthy Hub

Friday 15th December – Community Christmas Party
Big Local are once again hosting their much-loved Community Christmas Party at Wormley Community Centre, Fairfield Drive, Wormley, Broxbourne, EN10 6DX. This is a free to attend family event to allow the whole community to attend and enjoy. Wormley Free Church will be opening the event with some carol singing and then entertaining the younger guests with arts and crafts in the Studio. Friday 15th December from 6pm – 9pm.

Saturday 16th December – Self Defence Lessons
Adults and children aged 8+ will learn self defence through martial arts techniques at these low cost lessons taught by two fully trained instructors. The aim will be for children and adults to develop the self-confidence and knowledge of their own self-worth, establish the mindset to achieve their personal goals, and have the courage to face any challenge that life throws their way. Tuesday 2nd January – Baby Rhyme Time
These fun, half hour sessions of songs and rhymes are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are an opportunity for you to meet other families too. Baby Rhyme Time is free though donations are welcomed. No booking required. Tuesdays from 10.15am – 10.45am and 11.15am – 11.45am.

Wednesday 3rd January – This ‘n’ That
Drop in for tea and biscuits, have a chat and make new friends. Various activities and themed sessions. Mature members of the local community or anyone who would like to join a friendly group.
