Saturday 6th June – Summer Evenings at the Zoo
An exclusive after-hours adventure like no other. As the sun sets over Hertfordshire, enjoy rare evening access to Hertfordshire Zoo, White Stubbs Lane, Broxbourne, EN10 7QA, and experience their animals in a calm and magical twilight setting. Step back in time as you explore our World of Dinosaurs, home to over 40 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs that come to life as the sun goes down. Discover our incredible animal habitats, from big cats to amazing species from around the world, all open for you to explore in a unique evening atmosphere. Cheshunt Fire Station: Open Day. Fun for all, food, drinks, games. Jump on a fire engine and take a look around. Test your skills with the fire hose. Chip pan demonstrations and much more. Saturday 6th June from 12 noon – 3pm.

Sunday 7th June – Cheshunt Junior Parkrun
junior parkrun is a free, fun, friendly weekly community event, organised by volunteers of all ages, for children aged 4 to 14. These 2k events take place on Sunday mornings. click here

Sunday 7th June – Broxbourne Big Green Fest
Inspiring talks about nature conservation and the preservation of endangered animal species, live music and performances, textile and wood upcycling workshops and much more. Sunday 7th June from 10am – 5pm, at Cedars Park, Theobalds Lane, Waltham Cross, EN8 8RX.

Monday 8th June – Chess Club
Join Hoddesdon Library, High Street, Hoddesdon, EN11 8HD, for a friendly game of chess. All welcome. Free, with donations welcome. Mondays from 10am – 12.30pm. Until at least end of June.

Tuesday 9th June – Stitch and Bitch
Hertfordshire Studios is bringing communities together through creative talents. Free Tea’s/Coffees and biscuits provided. A safe place for your friends and family to join a group of like minded individuals who enjoy knitting, sewing, and having a good old gossip. Saturday 20th June – Summer Fair

Wednesday 24th June – Heritage Walk
Step back in time this summer and discover the rich local history of Hoddesdon with one of our special Heritage Walks, part of the Love Hoddesdon 2026 Midsummer Festival. Join Lowewood museum, High Street, Hoddesdon, EN11 8BH, for a guided circular walk. Along the way, you will hear fascinating stories about three significant families, the Warners, the Barclays and the Rawdons, who were influential in the history of Hoddesdon. The walk will explore the area surrounding Lowewood Museum before heading towards Barclay Park. From there, you will pass through the park to Beech Walk, continue to Park View, and exit via Grange Gates onto the High Road, eventually returning to the starting point. Join Fairfields Primary School, Rosedale Way, Cheshunt, Waltham Cross, EN7 6JG, for lots of football, food and entertainment. Fun for all the family. Sunday 28th June from 12 noon – 4pm.

Sunday 12th July – It’s a Knockout
Expect giant inflatables, hysterical games and oversized props, as teams compete on the It’s a Knockout assault course. The day kicks off with the Junior course where kids aged 5-12 are part of the action and tackle the inflatable assault course. In the afternoon, it’s time for the adults to take on the challenge. Spectators welcome. Come along for the day and enjoy a selection of stalls, BBQ, games and attractions. Sunday 23rd August – Rock Around The Clocktower
Live music from incredible local bands, delicious food vendors, The George III Pop-Up Bar, Raffles and prizes, including Spurs hospitality and luxury hampers. Free entry, fun for all the family. This event is in partnership with Love Hoddesdon, and Broxbourne Council. All happening in the heart of Hoddesdon Town Centre and all in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital. Wednesday 4th November – Older Persons Activity, Learning and Safety
Older persons activity, learning and safety (OPALS) events are sociable, seated events where you can get quality advice and help on a wide range of services available. As well as giving reassuring safety and wellbeing support, the event includes an opportunity to meet other residents in your area, safety related freebies and representatives from a variety of agencies giving advice on the services they offer.
