Friday 30th May – Ware Country Market

Weekly Country Market with plenty of goods on offer from local bakers, producers and makers all under one roof. Fridays from 9am – 12 noon. At Leaside Church and Community Centre, High Street, Ware, SG12 9BT.


Friday 31st May – Board Games Club

Weekly adult Board Games Club at Ware Library, High Street, Ware, every Friday 2pm – 3.30pm. Meet new people and bring out your competitive streak. Until at least end of September 2025.


Sunday 1st June – Summer Concert: Steve Young

Free summer concert taking place on the back lawn at Ware Priory, High Street, Ware, SG12 9AL. Picnics and lawn chairs welcome, the Priory bar will be available. Sunday 1st June from 3pm – 5pm.


Tuesday 3rd June – Dragonflies of Amwell

An introduction to some of the dragonflies and damselflies of Amwell Nature reserve. Suitable for adults. Please note there are no toilets available at the reserve. The walk will have some gentle gradients. Tuesday 3rd June from 11am – 12.30pm, at Amwell Lane, Great Amwell, Ware, SG12 9SS. To book click here


Wednesday 4th June – Maltings Stitch Café

Maltings Stitch Café is a fortnightly drop-in group from 10am – 1pm, for those seeking to stitch, make new friends and share ideas. Whether your style is embroidery or machine stitching, felting or tapestry, everyone is welcome to this friendly group. All levels are welcome too, whether you are a novice with a needle or an expert seamstress. You can bring your own projects to work on, whilst socialising in their Café. Please note this is a free social event and not a taught class. At Southern Maltings, Kibes Lane, Ware, SG12 7BS. Next 18th June.


Friday 6th June – Live Longer Better

Live Longer Better are hosting a celebration day to empower the movement of helping older adults, especially those living with dementia to stay active, independent and socially connected. This event will allow you try out a range of inclusive activities, such as: movement for memory, chair yoga, clock cricket, bowls, walking sports and much more. Saturday 7th June – Charity Fit-Fest

Charity fitness event at Ware Priory, The Priory, High Street, Ware, SG12 9AL, raising funds for Hertfordshire Mind Charity. With DJ, live music, Pilates taster, 30 minute body workout and more. Donations welcome. Saturday 7th June from 10am – 12 noon.


Saturday 7th June – 100th birthday of Hertfordshire Libraries

Join Ware Library, High Street, Ware, SG12 9BA, on Saturday 7th June from 10am – 5pm, to celebrate the 100th birthday of Hertfordshire Libraries. They have a whole host of activities to try. Take part in thier collaborative colouring sheet, or find all of the characters on their trail to be entered into a prize draw. They will have from 10.30am – 11.30am a dedicated and qualified teacher available to teach coding to children aged 5-8, with their adults. Spaces are very limited and booking is essential. Craft Workshop from 10.30 – 11.30am. This is a drop-in session. Sphero Demo from 2pm – 3pm, see if you can race one of their Sphero Mini bots around the library course. This is a drop in session. All of these activities are free to attend, with donations welcome. 


Sunday 8th June – Summer Art and Craft Market

The Summer Art and Craft Market is in its 5th year and will be held indoors and outdoors in the garden at Southern Maltings, Kibes Lane, Ware, SG12 7BS, on Sunday 8th June from 10am – 3pm. With local creatives, designers, and makers, you could take home something unique for yourself or a gift for a friend. The market will feature local talented printmakers, fine artists, graphic designers, leather crafters, textiles, glass blowing, stained and fused glass, jewellery, macramé, paper crafting, ceramics, crochet, embroidery, candle making and much more. Refreshments will be available in their café.


Sunday 8th June – Mum2mum Market

Come and shop pre loved, good condition all things baby, children and maternity with 20+ stalls to browse. At The Riverside Hall, The Age Concern Centre, Priory Street, Ware, SG12 0DE. Sunday 8th June from 10am – 12 noon.


Sunday 8th June – Summer Art and Craft Market

Featuring local talented printmakers, fine artists, graphic designers, leather crafters, textiles, glass blowing, stained and fused glass, jewellery, macramé, paper crafting, ceramics, crochet, embroidery, candle making and much much more. Refreshments will be available in the café. Come along and be creative yourself as well as appreciating the works of others. Wednesday 11th June – Quiz Night

Join Ware Library, High Street, Ware, SG12 9BA, for their quarterly quiz night. Teams of up to 6 are welcome. Wednesday 11th June from 7pm – 9pm. Book at the library.


Saturday 14th June – Train and Track Play

Train and Track Play is an organised session for children to integrate and socialise with other children through playing with toy trains and cars. Let your child explore the world of vehicles through exciting, tunnels, bridges, turntables, roads, garages, sidings and ignite their imagination and creativity. Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th June – Generation Circus

Will You Still Love Me? is an extraordinary circus show with an extraordinary cast of performers. The local community has helped us to create a tapestry of shared stories and unexpected connections. A show that bridges generations and explores what brings us together, at any age. Working with renowned circus and dance choreographers from across the UK, and an amazing team of video and sound artists, Will You Still Love Me features Aerial Circus, Physical Theatre and Dance Theatre, Original film-making and live video projections, Nostalgic 1970s and 80s slideshows plus speciality acts and lots of surprises. Sunday 15th June – Farmers’ Market 

Monthly Farmers Market at Tudor Square, Ware, SG12 9XF, with an array of stalls offering quality food and drink, made locally by small independent producers and businesses. Held on the 3rd Sunday of the month, every market will have a twist or theme. Pop by and pick up something delicious, enjoy food demonstrations and live music. Sunday from 10am – 1pm. Not on in July, August or December.


Wednesday 18th June – Ware: A Local History Walk

Join Ware Library, High Street, Ware, SG12 9BA, to hear from John Wing as he delivers a talk on the town. Find out about Romans, Normans, Road, Rail, Malt, and Medicine. Tickets cost £5 and places will need to be booked in the Library. Some of the proceeds will be donated to Ware in Bloom. Wednesday 18th June from 7pm.

Saturday 28th June – Ware Ukulele

Join the Ware Ukulele Group’s 10th Birthday celebrations. Featuring special guests and a setlist of songs special to them from the last decade, as well as brand new repertoire and a few surprises along the way. Sunday 29th June – Mentley Farm Lavender: Open Day

Join Louise from Mentley Farm for a wonderful Family Day in the Lavender Fields. Enjoy a relaxing day surrounded by stunning lavender fields, featuring artisan stalls showcasing unique local crafts, a BBQ and delicious cakes and treats along with entertainment for all ages. This year’s IWA Canalway Cavalcade, will have stalls, food vendors, a bar, boats and boating events, children’s rides, face painters, live bands and performers, children’s activities, ice cream vans and everything else that makes up Cavalcade. Friday 4th – Sunday 6th July

Turn up and have a go on the climbing wall at Ware Priory, High Street, Ware, SG12 9AL. All participants must weigh over 23kg and under 114kg to take part. Thursday 31st July from 12 noon – 4pm.


Saturday 2nd August – Summer Fete

Join Ashwood Care Home, Dickenson Way, Ware, SG12 7BU, on Saturday 2nd August from 2pm, for an afternoon of sunshine, fun, and community spirit at this annual Summer Fete. Saturday 16th August – Music and Motors

Ware’s best classic car and music event, returns to Tudor Square for its 17th year. As ever, they present a selection of local performers playing short acoustic sets and they endeavour to have a display of interesting “motors” brought along by their owners. Music and Motors is a community organised event supported by the Ware Town Council. Saturday 16th August from 12 noon – 5pm.

Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd December – Christmas Winterfest Market

This Christmas Winterfest Market at the Southern Maltings, Kibes Lane, Ware, SG12 7BS, is always early and always a hit. This year it is on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd November. This bumper market will be run across two floors, and will showcase local high-quality art, local farmers produce and crafts, Christmas decorations and wreaths, toys, books, jewellery, handcrafted homeware and other small, local boutique businesses. Mini-Christmas photoshoots of you and your family in magical Christmas scenes will be available. Food and drinks also available including mulled wine and mince pies. Entry is a donation of £1.
