Friday 9th May – Auction Valuation
Curious about the value of your heirlooms or antiques? This informal and fun event is your chance to get your treasures assessed by an expert. Join Hansons experts and bring your gold, jewellery, silver, medals, coins, collectibles, and antiques to this weekly valuation day, with the option to consign them for their next auction. Friday 9th May – LEGO Club
Each week will have a theme but if your child enjoys free play, that’s fine too. Children of 8 years and under must have an adult with them at all times. Fridays from 4pm – 5pm at Buntingford Library, 77 High Street, Buntingford, SG9 9AE.

Saturday 10th May – Royston Coffee Morning
Come along to this weekly Royston Coffee Morning meeting Saturdays from 10am – 11.30am, at Royston Parish Church. All welcome.

Saturday 10th May – Barkway Village Market
Barkway Village Market returns on Saturday 10th May from 10am – 4pm. Set in the beautiful grounds of Manor Farm and Barkway Church, this much-loved country show will feature over 180 stalls, antiques, artisan food and drink, plants, homewares and more. Steeped in history since 1270 and re-established in 1977, Barkway Market proudly supports Barkway Village Hall and local community projects. To book click here

LEGO Club for Children at Royston Library, Market Hill, Royston, SG8 9JN. Second Saturday of each month from 2pm – 3pm. Places are limited, book at the library.

Saturday 10th May – VE Day 80th
B&B play the Blind Fiddler, Castle Cottages, Anstey, Buntingford SG9 0BW, on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of VE Day. Come celebrate and have fun. Saturday 10th May from 8pm – 11pm.

Sunday 11th May – Great Chishill Windmill: Open Day
Discover one of only seven open trestle postmills in the UK. Great Chishill Windmill opens twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Sunday from 10am – 4pm (last entry 3.30pm). Offering guided tours led by friendly volunteers. Enjoy scenic views and picnic areas. Free Entry (donations welcome). Future dates 25th May, 8th and 22nd June, 13th and 27th July, 10th and 24th August, 14th and 28th September.

Monday 12th May – Chatty Cafe
The ‘Chatter and Natter table’ is a wonderful way of encouraging people of all ages to talk to others. The table will be hosted by a friendly volunteer every Monday. Do come along and sit for a chat. Mondays from 12 noon – 1.30pm. At Kooky Nohmad, 42 High Street, Royston, SG8 9AG.

Tuesday 13th May – Physical Fun
A fun, active session where you can meet other local families and enjoy lots of fun games and play opportunities to support your child with their physical development. Tuesdays from 1.30pm – 2.30pm. £2.50 per family pay on the day. At Seth Ward Community Centre, Buntingford, SG9 9SG.

Tuesday 13th May – A Tale of Us
Buntingford Library, 77 High Street, Buntingford, SG9 9AE, is hosting A Tale of Us on Tuesday 13th May from 2.30pm. This interactive production is for parents and babies 0-18 months. This event is free and bookings can be made in the Library.

Wednesday 14th May – Royston Outdoor Market
Royston Market Square, Market Hill, Royston, SG8 9JR. Royston Country Market sells home produced cakes, pies, biscuits, savouries, ready meals, marmalade, jams, chutneys, apple juice and eggs. Seasonal vegetables, fruits and plants. Every Wednesday and Saturday morning.

Wednesday 14th May – Royston Rotary Memory Cafe
Royston Rotary Memory Cafe meets every second Wednesday of the month from 10am – 12 noon. Providing support to folks with memory loss and their carers. Enjoy friendship, fun and games at Coombes Community Centre, Burns Road, Royston, SG8 5PT.

Wednesday 14th May – The Chatty Cafe
Chatter and natter is part of the Chatty Cafe Scheme and takes place at a table at The Buntingford Coffee Shop, 61 High St, Buntingford SG9 9AE, every Wednesday from 10am – 11am. Everyone is welcome and there is no commitment or need to sign up, just turn up and take a seat.

Wednesday 14th May – Baby Rhyme Time
These fun, half hour sessions of songs and rhymes are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are a great opportunity for you to meet other families too. Every Wednesday from 10.15am – 10.45am and 11.15am – 11.45am. At Royston Library, Market Hill, Royston, SG8 9JN.

Thursday 15th May – Active Rhyme Time
A 45 minute session of fun, active rhymes and songs for your baby and toddler. A great way to meet other families and develop your child‘s communication and physical skills. For children with their parent or carer. Older siblings welcome. £2.50 per family drop in pay on the day. Thursdays from 10am – 10.45am. At Coombes Community Centre, Burns Road, Royston, SG8 5PT.

Thursday 15th May – Storytime
These interactive story sessions are perfect for pre-school children to enjoy with their parent/carer. Join in with a mix of picture book stories and rhymes. Every Thursday from 10.30am – 11am, at Buntingford Library, 77 High Street, Buntingford, SG9 9AE

Saturday 24th May – Board Games
Board Games meet up on Saturday 24th May from 12 noon – 6pm, £5 entry (cash only please) which is split between the Scout Group for hall hire and the board games cafe to purchase new games. Thursday 29th May – Booster Cushion Theatre
Booster Cushion Theatre are returning to Royston Library, Market Hill, Royston, SG8 9JN. ‘Old McDonald and the Three Pigs Plus…’ weaves the well known story of the Three Pigs with the easy to learn rhyme Old McDonald Had A Farm. Featuring a 5m wide book with 2m pop ups, bright colourful pages and lots of silly animal props. Suitable for 3 – 7 yr-olds, children must be accompanied by an adult. First Wednesday of the month from 8pm – 11pm, an open mic at The Old Bull Inn, 56 High Street, Royston SG8 9AW.

Sunday 8th June – Summer Fayre
A fun-packed afternoon at the Reed First School, Jackson’s Lane, Royston, SG8 8AB, summer Fayre on Sunday June 8th from 12 noon – 4pm. With bouncy castles, a Pimm’s tent, BBQ, and over 20 stalls from local businesses, there’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Sunday 5th October – Antiques and Vintage Fair
