Saturday 21st December – Letchworth Food, Drink and Craft Festival

The Letchworth Food, Drink and Craft Festival is on every third Saturday from 10am – 4pm. At Leys Square, Letchworth.

Monday 23rd December – Baby Rhyme Time

These fun, half hour sessions of songs and rhymes are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are an opportunity for you to meet other families too. For the comfort and safety of families they may have to limit numbers so entry to a session cannot be guaranteed. Every Monday from 10.15am – 11.15am. At Letchworth Library, Broadway, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 3PF. Until 30th December.

Tuesday 24th December – Christmas Eve Storytime

Join Letchworth Library, Broadway, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 3PF, for a festive Christmas Eve Storytime, celebrating the magic of Christmas. This is a free event, so come along and snuggle up for some enchanting Christmas Eve stories. Do not forget to wear your Christmas jumper. Tuesday 24th December from 2pm – 2.30pm.

Friday 27th December – Warm Space

Looking for a cozy spot to relax and connect with others? Join Letchworth Library, Broadway, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 3PF, and enjoy a hot drink, chat, play games, or work on a puzzle. Their warm space is open to everyone, offering a welcoming environment to unwind and socialize. Fridays from 10am – 12 noon.

Saturday 28th December – ParkPlay

ParkPlay is a two-hour long play session of fun and games for everyone every Saturday morning from 10am. At Radburn Way, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 2SB. Activities are relaxed enough to attract the shy and less confident, but structured enough to reassure.

Friday 3rd January – Community Dementia Cafe

White House Care Home, Gillison Close, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 1QL, welcome members of the local community to their monthly Dementia Café. Taking place on the first Friday of every month from 10.30am – 12 noon, their relaxed café offers a safe and supportive setting to socialise with people in similar situations, with our kind and dedicated team on hand. No booking is required. Until 4th April

Friday 3rd January – Gravitrax

A fun activity for the whole family. There is no need to book and it’s free. Donations are welcome. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Tuesday 14th January – Notorious Witches

Janice Brooker, Senior Librarian, at Hertfordshire Archives and Local Studies will be talking about the long history of witchcraft in Hertfordshire. There were dozens of convicted witches, and they will be exploring the lives and cases of some of the most notorious. Suitable for ages 14 plus. There will be time for a Q&A at the end. Wednesday 15th January – Create and Chat for Adults

Letchworth Library, Broadway, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 3PF, run a Create and Chat for adults crafting group every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 10.30am – 12 noon. It is a free drop-in group. Bring along your own crafting projects and share ideas with like-minded people. They can also help to get you started with knitting, crochet and sewing.

Come spend une soirée d’hiver with Letchworth Sinfonia as we play music showcasing French symphonic brilliance. The program includes masterpieces by Camille Saint-Saëns, Arthur Honegger, Charles Gounod, and Émile Waldteufel. Saturday 18th January from 3pm. Tuesday 28th January – Young Adults Craft Group

Monthly craft Group for young adults from 14-24, each month, they will choose a new theme. It is a great way to get creative and meet new people. FBG Con is a convention held every year in February in North Hertfordshire. The convention aims to provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for everyone to play games, meet new people and have a good time. A café will be available where you can purchase drinks and snacks.
