Wednesday 26th March – Board Game Group

The group meet in the front area of Stevenage Central Library, Southgate, Stevenage, SG1 1HD, to play scrabble and other board games. Free drop-in event. Every Wednesday from 2pm – 3.30pm.


Thursday 27th March – Baby Rhyme Time

These fun, half hour sessions of songs and rhymes are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are an opportunity for you to meet other families too. Thursdays from 9.15am – 9.45am. At Knebworth Community Library, St Martins Road, Knebworth, SG3 6ER.


Thursday 27th March – Storytime

These interactive story sessions are perfect for pre-school children to enjoy with their parent/carer. Join in with a mix of picture book stories and rhymes. Sessions are free (donations welcomed) and you do not have to book in advance. Thursdays from 10am – 10.30am. At Knebworth Community Library, St Martins Road, Knebworth, SG3 6ER.


Thursday 27th March – Games Night

Lost Ark Games have an extensive board game library full of great games to play. Come and play games from their board game library. Bring your own in, meet friends and play. Play a wargame on a big table. Run a Role Playing game with friends. Play Magic: The Gathering or any other TCG. Bring a games console in. hook it up to one of our big TVs and play with your mates.

At Lost Ark Games, 29 Market Place, Stevenage, SG1 1DH. Their front door on the high street is closed from 5pm. Please use their rear entrance which can be found directly opposite the car entrance to the Westgate Multi Storey car park. Please use your sat-nav to find the car park if you are unsure. Every Thursday until at least June 2025 from 6pm – 10pm.


Saturday 29th March – ParkPlay

ParkPlay is a two-hour long play session of fun and games for everyone every Saturday morning from 10am. At Hampson Park, Stevenage, SG1 5QU. Activities are relaxed enough to attract the shy and less confident, but structured enough to reassure.


Saturday 29th March – Mother’s Day Workshop

A creative Mother’s Day celebration at the Stevenage Indoor Market on Saturday 29th March from 11am – 1pm. Enjoy free arts and crafts, including mug decorating, card making, and face painting. Plus, join Buttons and Bows’ special embroidery hoop workshops – four exclusive sessions to craft a heart-warming keepsake. Email [email protected] to reserve your spot.


Saturday 29th March – Quiz Night

The Oval Community Centre, and All Saints Church welcome you to this quiz night. At the Community Centre, The Oval, Vardon Road, Stevenage, SG1 5RD. Saturday 29th March doors open from 7pm.


Monday 31st March – Tea and Chat

Come and join this friendly group for good conversation and lots of laughs over a cuppa. They have a monthly speaker or activity, and chat and socialise on the weeks in between. No need to book, just drop in on the day. Free event, but donations are welcome. Mondays from 10.30am – 12 noon. At Stevenage Central Library, Southgate, Stevenage, SG1 1HD.


Monday 31st March – IT Champion

IT Champions offer one-to-one support, problem-solving, and online safety advice for users of the library computers and WiFi. Mondays from 2pm – 4pm, at Stevenage Central Library, Southgate, Stevenage, SG1 1HD.


Tuesday 1st April – Active Rhyme Time

A 45 minute session of fun, active rhymes and songs for your baby and toddler. A great way to meet other families and develop your child‘s communication and physical skills. For children with their parent or carer. Older siblings welcome. £2.50 per family drop in, pay on the day. Tuesdays from 9.30am – 10.15am. At The Meeting House, 21 Cuttys Lane, Stevenage, SG1 1UP.


Wednesday 2nd April – Reading Friends

Join our Reading Friends group on the first Wednesday of every month from 10.30am – 11.45am. Meet people and make new friend, and chat about books, hobbies and interests over a hot drink. At Stevenage Central Library, Southgate, Stevenage, SG1 1HD.


Wednesday 9th April – An Evening with Tottenham Legends

Come and join Tottenham Legends: Ledley King ands Ossie Ardiles along with host Graham Roberts to hear first hand accounts from your favourite players and gain unique perspective on sport and all things spurs. The Lads will also discuss their careers, games, dressing room/training ground stories, managers, fall outs and everything you wanted to know about playing for a successful football club. Saturday 12th April – Dawn Chorus at Astonbury

Come along to Astonbury Wood, Aston, North Stevenage, SG14 3RY, to listen to, and learn the calls of some of the woodlands resident bird species. Birds are most active around dawn, calling to mark their territory or attract a mate – hence the early start. The walk will be approximately 1.5 miles (2.4km) in length and almost all within Astonbury Wood. The paths can be very wet and muddy at this time of year, wellies advised. Saturday 19th – Monday 21st April – Easter Quest

Embark on a seasonal quest through the Gardens of Knebworth Park, Stevenage, SG3 6PY, to find hidden eggs, solve riddles, and complete exciting challenges that lead you closer to an Easter prize. Explore the stunning gardens in full bloom, adventure through the Dinosaur Trail and then let the kids burn off some energy in the fantastic adventure playground complete with slides, swings, and climbing frames for hours of outdoor fun. Saturday 19th April – Animal Crackers

Join Stevenage Town Centre on Saturday 19th April from 11am – 4pm, at Event Island, for a wild day of family fun. Meet adorable animals with Wycombe Pastures Petting Zoo, explore the Travelling Natural History Museum, Donkey rides, reptiles, birds of prey and free face painting. Plus meet the Gruffalo at intervals throughout the day. Free entry. Some activities may have a small charge.


Saturday 19th April – The Hertfordshire Card Show

Explore a vast collection of rare, modern and vintage collectibles at The Hertfordshire Card Show. In addition to selling collectibles, we also offer a fantastic atmosphere for those card fanatics. The show is designed to bring the trading card community together in Hertfordshire to share the passion amongst others. Saturday 26th April – Motorcyclists Course

Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service offer free training for motorcyclists? The half day course takes place in Stevenage from 9am – 1pm and covers crash scene management, first aid and what you need to be thinking as a biker. To book email [email protected]


Sunday 27th April – Bluebell Walk

Come and enjoy a guided walk around Astonbury Wood, Aston, North Stevenage, SG14 3RY, where you will see a good show of Bluebells and other woodland wildflowers. The walk will be approximately 1.5 miles (2.4km) in length. Please be aware this walk will be covering muddy and uneven ground. Suitable for adults and children ages 8 plus. Sunday 27th April – Knebworth TrackPlay

A fun and entertaining time for kids who love trains. With over 500 feet of Track and over 100 Thomas and his friends trains to choose from. Kids will be raving about the experience for a long time . Sunday 27th April – Weekend Stories

Storytime for under 8’s. This is a free, drop-in event at Stevenage Central Library, Southgate, Stevenage, SG1 1HD. Sunday 27th April from 2pm – 2.30pm. Every Sunday until the end of the year.


Saturday 3rd – Monday 5th May – Inflatable Family Fun Days

Stevenage Town Rugby Club, North Road, Stevenage, SG1 4BB, inflatable family fun days, Saturday 3rd – Monday 5th May from 10.30am – 1.30pm and 2pm – 5pm. £10 per child, please bring cash where possible to speed up your entry time and to avoid signal issues. Pay on the gate. Trampolines and Bumper Cars are an additional charge. Hot and cold refreshments available.


Monday 23rd June – In Conversation with Jasper Fforde

Stevenage Central Library, Southgate, Stevenage, SG1 1HD, are delighted to welcome Jasper Fforde to Hertfordshire Libraries as he prepares to publish the much-anticipated Dark Reading Matter later in 2025. It will be book 8 in the epic Thursday Next series, launched with The Eyre Affair in 2001. Thursday 4th September – Paul Zerdin: Jaw Drop Tour


Get ready for a night of laughter and jaw-dropping entertainment with the Paul Zerdin. As a former America’s Got Talent winner, Paul promises an evening of top-notch stand-up comedy and ventriloquism, including his famous human dummy routine with an exciting new twist. Saturday 6th September – Wicked Outdoor Cinema Sing-A-Long

A bewitching outdoor cinema experience at Knebworth House, Knebworth Park, Stevenage SG1 2AX, with a Sing-A-Long showing of Wicked. Get your friends, family and loved ones together for some pure entertainment as you watch and singalong with the movie on a huge open-air screen in the stunning grounds of Knebworth House.
