Come and join this friendly group for good conversation and lots of laughs over a cuppa. They have a monthly speaker or activity, and chat and socialise on the weeks in between. ParkPlay is a two-hour long play session of fun and games for everyone every Saturday morning from 10am. At Hampson Park, Stevenage, SG1 5QU. Activities are relaxed enough to attract the shy and less confident, but structured enough to reassure.

Join Stevenage Town Centre for the Christmas Market, daily from 16th November – 31st December from 10am – 6pm. From festive stalls to Christmas treats, it is the perfect place to get into the Christmas spirit.

The Stevenage Winter Wonderland team are excited to announce the arrival of an unforgettable festive experience at Stevenage Leisure Park, 12 Kings Way, Stevenage, SG1 2UA, running from November 22nd – January 1st. Visitors can look forward to real ice at their spectacular ice skating rink, perfect for skaters of all levels. Thursday 2nd January – Storytime
These interactive story sessions are perfect for pre-school children to enjoy with their parent/carer. Join in with a mix of picture book stories and rhymes. IT Champions offer one-to-one support, problem-solving, and online safety advice for users of the library computers and WiFi. Mondays from 2pm – 4pm, at Stevenage Central Library, Southgate, Stevenage, SG1 1HD.
Wednesday 8th January – Board Game Group
The group meet in the front area of Stevenage Central Library, Southgate, Stevenage, SG1 1HD, to play scrabble and other board games. Free drop-in event. Every Wednesday from 2pm – 3.30pm.
Thursday 9th January – Let’s Play Anything Night
Lost Ark Games have an extensive board game library full of great games to play. Come and play games from their board game library. Bring your own in, meet friends and play. Play a wargame on a big table. Run a Role Playing game with friends. Play Magic: The Gathering or any other TCG. Bring a games console in. hook it up to one of our big TVs and play with your mates.

Please use their rear entrance which can be found directly opposite the car entrance to the Westgate Multi Storey car park. Please use your sat-nav to find the car park if you are unsure. Friday 17th January – An Amble Around Astonbury
Walk off the winter blues with this guided amble taking in the wildlife and views of Astonbury and the surrounding countryside. The walk will start with approximately one mile on quiet lanes before crossing a field and taking in a loop of Astonbury wood. The route back to Aston village drops briefly into the Beane Valley before climbing back up to the finish at the community owned Rose and Crown pub. The walk is roughly 3.8 miles (6.1km) in length. The ground is expected to be very wet and muddy, wellies advised.
This event is weather dependant, but even the best of weather in January can be cold and changeable, so please dress appropriately, and having a spare warm layer with you is advised. Friday 17th January from 10am – 1pm. At Astonbury Wood, Aston, North Stevenage, SG14 3RY. To book click here
Sunday 19th January – Baby and Child First Aid
This two hour class is perfect for anyone that has a baby or child and wants to learn some basic first aid skills without being overwhelmed with technical information. The session empowers parents/expectant parents/grandparents and carers and gives you the confidence to act fast in an emergency. Their class is relaxed and fun, suitable for pregnancy and babies under 12 months are welcome too.
