Thursday 29th May – Mums’ Walk and Talk

Hello Baby Social is hosting a walk and talk for mums with babies up to 12 months old in Bushey. Meeting in King George Recreation Ground, Bushey WD23 4RF,  by the front of the cafe, looking out towards the playground, for a gentle walk. If it is too hot or raining we will meet inside the baby friendly cafe. There is a free car park at the end of King George Avenue. Thursday 29th May from 10.30am – 11.30am. To book click here


Thursday 29th May – Yoga

This session is exclusively for female participants. All levels are welcome, from beginners to experienced practitioners. They provide additional support for those with hearing, physical, learning, visual impairments, mental health issues, and social or behavioural problems. Friday 30th May – Baby Rhyme Time

These fun, half hour sessions of songs and rhymes are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are a great opportunity for you to meet other families too. Fridays from 11am – 11.30am, at Bushey Library, Sparrows Herne, Bushey, WD23 1FA.


Saturday 31st May – Saturday Singing Circle

Songs and memory games, refreshments and raffle. Saturdays from 2pm – 4pm. Supporting people with dementia and carers. At The Clitheroe Centre, Clitheroe Gardens, South Oxhey. For further information click here


Monday 2nd June – IT Champion

IT Champions offer one-to-one support, problem-solving, and online safety advice for users of the library computers and WiFi. Every Monday from 3pm – 5pm. At Oxhey Library, Bridlington Road, South Oxhey, WD19 7AG.


Tuesday 3rd June – Active Rhyme Time

A 45 minute session of fun, active rhymes and songs for your baby and toddler. A great way to meet other families and develop your child‘s communication and physical skills. Tuesday 3rd June – Coffee and Chat

Drop in for tea and biscuits, chat and make new friends. The first Tuesday of each month from 10.30am – 11.30am. At Bushey Library, Sparrows Herne, WD23 1FA.


Wednesday 4th June – Craft Group

Come and join this crafting group, open to all, drop in, bring your current craft project and have a chat over a cuppa. First Wednesday of the month from 1.30pm – 3pm. At Bushey Library, Sparrows Herne, WD23 1FA.


Wednesday 4th June – Mat Pilates

Join this friendly weekly Pilates classes, designed for all genders and beginners to intermedia fitness levels. Each class has only around 10-11 attendees, so the teacher can easily observe you and provide assistance and guidance easily. Each session focuses on mat-based exercises to help you strengthen your body and improve mobility. Focusing on strengthing your core, posture, joints and pelvic floor, improve mobility, and tone your whole body. Saturday 7th June – Summer Fayre

Oxhey Village Summer Fayre, on the village green on Saturday 7th June from 1pm. There will be dozens of stalls, food and drink, entertainment and fun and games.


Sunday 8th June – Bushey Parade and Performing Arts Festival

Come Join the Bushey Parade on Sunday 8th June from 11am at Harvester Windmill, Bushey. Then enjoy the great Bushey Performing Arts Festival. A wonderful free, community event with 100+ performers on 8 stages at Mary Forsdyke Gardens/ Warren Lake. St Peter’s car park and The Three Crowns, Bushey from 12 noon.


Wednesday 11th June – Walking Group

Join Bushey Library, Sparrows Herne, WD23 1FA, for their new monthly themed walking group on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 2pm. You can join in with the theme as much or as little as you want or just come along for a stroll and a chat.


Thursday 12th June – Brush Party

Join Brush Party, the UK’s ‘Paint and Sip’ experts at The Three Crowns, High Road, Bushey, WD23 1EA, on Thursday 12th June from 7pm – 10pm, to create their fabulous theme Tsuru Sunrise. For further information and to book click here


Saturday 14th June – Pirates of Penzance

Sunday 15th June – TrackPlay

A fun and entertaining event for kids who love trains. With over 500 feet of Track and over 100 Thomas and his friends trains to choose from. Kids will be raving about the experience for a long time. Saturday 28th June – Brewfest

For the first time, all six of the Oxhey village pubs will be participating in the annual celebration of local beers. you will be able to enjoy ale tasting, food, music and entertainment at these local public houses. The Load of Hay, The Railway Arms, The Rifle Volunteer, The Royal Oak, The Victoria and The Villiers Arms.


Saturday 5th July – Summer Fete

St James’ Parish Fete, High Street, Bushey, WD23 1BD, are holding a Summer Fete in the Village from 11am – 4pm, as part of the Bushey Festival. There will be stalls from tombola to bags and jewellery and many more. Coffee and cakes, light lunches, barbecue and ice cream will be available followed by the always popular Music Recital by the North London Military Wives in St James Church at noon. Wednesday 9th July – St Paul’s Church: Open Morning

Open Morning at St Paul’s Church, 82 Bushey Hall Road, Bushey, WD23 2EQ. With coffee, cakes, tabletop sale, home produce and plants in one of Bushey’s hidden gems built in the Arts and Crafts’ style in 1904 followed by Holy Communion at 12.30pm for anyone who wishes to attend. Free entry and no need to book. Restricted and limited parking in adjacent side roads.


Thursday 10th July – Guided Tour of St James’ Parish Church

Tour St James’ Parish Church, High Street, Bushey, WD23 1BD, a Grade II* parish church with its 13th century chancel, 15th century tower and 19th century nave restored and extended by Sir George Gilbert Scott and some of the significant tombs in one of the largest churchyards in the South-East of England. Saturday 12th July – Fun Dog Show

Annual Bushey Fun Dog Show at King George Recreation Ground, Bushey. Bring your dog along and enter any of the fun classes at £2 per class from Best Trick to Waggiest Tail, they have categories for every type of pup personality. Rosettes will be awarded to the top five in each class and the class winner will receive a bumper goody bag. Registration is from 11am. Judging starts at 12 noon.


Saturday 12th July – Bushey Museum and Art Gallery: Walk and Talk

Meet at the Bushey Museum and Art Gallery, Rudolph Road, WD23 3HW. Saturday 12th July from 11am. Organised by the Friends of Bushey Museum. Parking in nearby Kemp Place (charges apply). The popular guided walk in Bushey village introducing local artist and illustrator of Black Beauty Lucy Kemp-Welch. Free of charge. Pre-booking for walk essential to busmt@busheymuseum.org. Limited to 15 people. First come, first served.


Saturday 12th July – South Oxhey Choir Concert

Come and join the South Oxhey Choir on Saturday 12th July from 7pm, for their Summer Concert at the Clarendon Muse at Watford Grammar School for Boys, Watford, WD18 7JA. This purpose built venue is the perfect place for their 80 person choir to perform songs from Madonna, Billy Joel, Oasis and Coldplay and musical theatre hits from Wicked and The Lion King to name just a few. Thursday 31st July – Workshop for Teens

Join Mary and learn the basics of photography in the stunning gardens at Reveley Lodge, Elstree Road, Bushey, WD23 4GL. Hands on practice and fun photo challenges.
