Saturday 21st December – Saturday Singing Circle

This great group supporting those living with dementia, meet every Saturday afternoon from 2pm – 4pm. At The Clitheroe Centre, Clitheroe Gardens, South Oxhey, WD19 6RP. With songs and memory games and refreshments.

Sunday 22nd December – Christmas Movie Night

Join The Red Lion, High Street, Bushey, WD23 3HN, for a cosy Christmas evening with your loved ones. Watch “The Grinch” while enjoying your favourite drinks and movie snacks like popcorn, nachos, and hot dogs. Entry is £5 per person. Do not forget to add some festive decorations or invite guests to wear their favourite Christmas jumpers for a fun and festive atmosphere. Sunday 22nd December starting at 7pm. Seating will be based on the size of the booking, but unfortunately, seating can not be guaranteed.

Monday 23rd December – Christmas Crafts

Join Bushey Grove Leisure Centre, Aldenham Road, Bushey, WD23 2TD, on Monday 23rd December from 10.30am – 12 noon for a fun filled morning of Christmas crafting. Crafts include, Christmas cards, icing biscuits, reindeer food, colouring Christmas bags, decorate your own Christmas bauble and the slightly older kids can enjoy making their own diamond art. Book your place at reception on 01923 4701 40, spaces are limited. £12 per adult/child. £17 per family ticket *2 adults/2 kids or 1 adult/3 kids.

Tuesday 24th December – Christmas Crafts

Join Bushey Library, Sparrows Herne, Bushey, WD23 1FA, for a special Christmas Eve Stories on Tuesday 24th December from 11am. Suitable for the under 5’s and their carers.

Saturday 28th December – ParkPlay

ParkPlay is a two-hour long play session of fun and games for everyone every Saturday morning from 10am. At Warren Dell Primary School, Gosforth Lane, Watford Rural, WD19 7UZ. Activities are relaxed enough to attract the shy and less confident, but structured enough to reassure.

Sunday 29th December – Sleeping Beauty

Join Metropolitan Bushey, Aldenham Road, Bushey, WD23 2TR, for a classic pantomime tale full of fun, laughter, silliness, music, dancing, sing a long’s, fairies, love, curses, spinning wheels and of course oodles of audience interaction. Can you help Princes Philip, The Panto Queen and Fairy Twinkle wake Princess Rose and defeat the evil fairy? Thursday 2nd January – Knit and Natter

Casual meet up of people to do knitting or crochet while having a natter along the way. Refreshments available and donations welcomed. Thursdays from 10am – 11am, at Oxhey Library, Bridlington Road, South Oxhey, WD19 7AG.

Saturday 7th December – Compassionate Cafe

Compassionate Cafés are a place where people who have experienced a loss, such as a bereavement, can pop in for a cuppa, a cake, and a friendly person to talk to. It provides a safe environment for individuals to come together, have a friendly chat, and connect with others who may share similar experiences. First Saturday each month from 11.30am – 1.30pm, at Red Café, Phoenix Centre, Farrington Avenue, Bushey, WD23 3DG.

Monday 6th January – IT Champion

IT Champions offer one-to-one support, problem-solving, and online safety advice for users of the library computers and WiFi. Every Monday from 3pm – 5pm. At Oxhey Library, Bridlington Road, South Oxhey, WD19 7AG.

Monday 6th January – Pilates

Pilates sessions are designed to concentrate on slow and measured movements in order to create lean and stronger muscles. Pilates aims to strengthen the body, with particular emphasis on core strength to improve general fitness and wellbeing. Pilates exercises are done on a mat. These sessions are designed to suit people of all shapes, ages and abilities. A qualified instructors will advise you how the exercises can be adapted to suit your ability. Wednesday 8th January – Body and Mind Pilates Session

Saturday 11th January – Hello Baby Pregnancy Club

Hello Baby Pregnancy Club is open to all pregnant women in the local area. These events are a great opportunity to meet other mums-to-be and hear from guest speakers and experts. For this social they are excited to welcome Sheena from Be Free, Love Yoga – a highly qualified and experienced yoga teacher of over 10 years, with specialist training in prenatal yoga and a passion for self-care and building community. Monday 16th February – TrackPlay

A fun and exciting experience for train-loving kids. With over 500 feet of track and more than 100 Thomas and Friends trains to choose from, the kids will be entertained for hours. Choose your preferred time slot and, on the day, relax with a hot drink while the kids have a blast letting their imaginations run wild playing with the trains. Jersey Guys are the UK’s original, premier tribute to the Jersey Boys and the music of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons. Featuring stars of the hit stage musical ‘Jersey Boys’, with their slick moves and tight four part harmonies, the Jersey Guys deliver a knock-out, spectacular show.
