Saturday 22nd February – Book Swap and Coffee Morning

Sunday 23rd February – The Forties Experience: Open Day
Join The Forties Experience for their public open day on Sunday 23rd February from 10.30am – 4pm. You do not need to prebook. Come and see their 1940s rooms and play with their collection of 1940s toys and games. Experience a guided tour of a bombed out street scene with their air raid warden and much more. Period attire is welcomed, so come along and experience a trip back to the Forties.
Monday 24th February – IT Champion
IT Champions offer one-to-one support, problem-solving, and online safety advice for users of the library computers and WiFi. Every Monday from 3pm – 5pm. At Oxhey Library, Bridlington Road, South Oxhey, WD19 7AG.
Monday 24th February – Pilates
Pilates sessions are designed to concentrate on slow and measured movements in order to create lean and stronger muscles. Pilates aims to strengthen the body, with particular emphasis on core strength to improve general fitness and wellbeing. Pilates exercises are done on a mat. These sessions are designed to suit people of all shapes, ages and abilities. A qualified instructors will advise you how the exercises can be adapted to suit your ability. Tuesday 25th February – Active Rhyme Time
A 45 minute session of fun, active rhymes and songs for your baby and toddler. A great way to meet other families and develop your child‘s communication and physical skills. For children with their parent or carer. Older siblings welcome. £2.50 per family pay on the day drop in. Tuesdays from 10.30am – 11.15am. At Phoenix Centre, Bushey, WD23 3DG.
Thursday 27th February – Knit and Natter
Casual meet up of people to do knitting or crochet while having a natter along the way. Refreshments available and donations welcomed. Thursdays from 10am – 11am, at Oxhey Library, Bridlington Road, South Oxhey, WD19 7AG
Thursday 27th February – Baby Group
Meet other families with young babies in a supportive, stimulating and friendly environment. During the 90 minute session there will be time for babies to play, discover more about their development and support your wellbeing as a new parent. £1.50 per family pay on the day drop in. Thursday 27th January – Yoga
This session is exclusively for female participants. All levels are welcome, from beginners to experienced practitioners. They provide additional support for those with hearing, physical, learning, visual impairments, mental health issues, and social or behavioural problems. Saturday 1st March – ParkPlay
ParkPlay is a two-hour long play session of fun and games for everyone every Saturday morning from 10am. At Warren Dell Primary School, Gosforth Lane, Watford Rural, WD19 7UZ. Activities are relaxed enough to attract the shy and less confident, but structured enough to reassure.

Saturday 1st March – Compassionate Cafe
Compassionate Cafés are a place where people who have experienced a loss, such as a bereavement, can pop in for a cuppa, a cake, and a friendly person to talk to. It provides a safe environment for individuals to come together, have a friendly chat, and connect with others who may share similar experiences. Friday 7th March – Jersey Guys
Jersey Guys are the UK’s original, premier tribute to the Jersey Boys and the music of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons. Featuring stars of the hit stage musical ‘Jersey Boys’, with their slick moves and tight four part harmonies, the Jersey Guys deliver a knock-out, spectacular show. Saturday 29th March – Quiz Night
Start brushing up on your trivia, the annual Oxhey Village Quiz is on Saturday 29th March from 7pm. This year, Gregory’s Kitchen will be dishing up the curry. Saturday 19th April – Easter Egg Hunt
Have fun at this Children’s Easter Egg Hunt at Reveley Lodge, 88 Elstree Road, Bushey, WD23 4GL. Hunt for chocolate eggs in their two and a half acre garden (ages 4-12) and there is a separate easter egg scramble for age three and under. Come along with your home-made or home-decorated Easter Bonnet and enter their competition. There are refreshments and the children can make Easter crafts for their doting parents and grandparents (small extra charge). Meet the Easter bunny, try and catch some eggs fired from the Reveley trebuchet or take part in some garden games. Have your photo taken in their giant egg. Saturday 19th April from 10.30am – 1pm. Sunday 20th April – Easter Children’s Entertainment
Available for Members children to be entertained for two whole hours on Easter Sunday by Non Stop Kids Entertainment.
You will need to pop in and put your child’s name down for this Free event. If by beginning of April they have spare spaces then the spaces will go to grandchildren of members. Sunday 27th April – TrackPlay
A fun and exciting experience for train-loving kids. With over 500 feet of track and more than 100 Thomas and Friends trains to choose from, the kids will be entertained for hours. Choose your preferred time slot and, on the day, relax with a hot drink while the kids have a blast letting their imaginations run wild playing with the trains.
