Thursday 27th March – Knit and Natter

Casual meet up of people to do knitting or crochet while having a natter along the way. Refreshments available and donations welcomed. Thursdays from 10am – 11am, at Oxhey Library, Bridlington Road, South Oxhey, WD19 7AG


Thursday 27th March – Baby Group

Meet other families with young babies in a supportive, stimulating and friendly environment. During the 90 minute session there will be time for babies to play, discover more about their development and support your wellbeing as a new parent. £1.50 per family pay on the day drop in. Thursday 27th March – Yoga

This session is exclusively for female participants. All levels are welcome, from beginners to experienced practitioners. They provide additional support for those with hearing, physical, learning, visual impairments, mental health issues, and social or behavioural problems. Friday 28th March – Baby Rhyme Time

These fun, half hour sessions of songs and rhymes are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are a great opportunity for you to meet other families too. Fridays from 11am – 11.30am, at Bushey Library, Sparrows Herne, Bushey, WD23 1FA.


Saturday 29th March – ParkPlay

ParkPlay is a two-hour long play session of fun and games for everyone every Saturday morning from 10am. At Warren Dell Primary School, Gosforth Lane, Watford Rural, WD19 7UZ. Activities are relaxed enough to attract the shy and less confident, but structured enough to reassure.


Saturday 29th March – Saturday Singing Circle

Saturday 29th March – Quiz Night

Start brushing up on your trivia, the annual Oxhey Village Quiz is on Saturday 29th March from 7pm. This year, Gregory’s Kitchen will be dishing up the curry. To book your table of 8, email [email protected]. Tickets are £16 per person, including curry. Bookings are being taken on a first come first served basis. Sunday 30th March – The Forties Experience: Open Day

Experience a guided tour of a bombed out street scene with an air raid warden and take a ride in a WW2 Jeep, and much more. Period attire is welcomed, so come along and experience a trip back to the Forties. Public open day on Sunday 30th March from 10.30am – 4pm. You do not need to prebook. Monday 31st March – IT Champion

Tuesday 1st April – Coffee and Chat

Drop in for tea and biscuits, chat and make new friends. The first Tuesday of each month from 10.30am – 11.30am. At Bushey Library, Sparrows Herne, WD23 1FA.


Tuesday 1st April – Active Rhyme Time

A 45 minute session of fun, active rhymes and songs for your baby and toddler. A great way to meet other families and develop your child‘s communication and physical skills. Tuesday 1st April – Mums’ Walk and Talk

A fun-filled charity quiz night in support of the National Animal Welfare Trust. Taking place on Friday 4th April 4th from 7.30pm – 11pm, this event promises an evening of entertainment, tasty food, and great company. At Red Lion, 50 High Street, Bushey, WD23 3HN. Enjoy a mini buffet at your table with options for meat, veggie, or mixed selections, along with a bottle of Prosecco to keep the spirits high.

Saturday 5th April – Hello Baby Pregnancy Club

Hello Baby Pregnancy Club is open to all pregnant women in the local area. These events are a great opportunity to meet other mums-to-be and hear from guest speakers and experts. They will be welcoming Briar as our guest speaker, a chiropractor from Summit Chiropractor Clinic who specialises in pregnancy and new-borns. Saturday 5th April – Compassionate Cafe

Compassionate Cafés are a place where people who have experienced a loss, such as a bereavement, can pop in for a cuppa, a cake, and a friendly person to talk to. It provides a safe environment for individuals to come together, have a friendly chat, and connect with others who may share similar experiences. First Saturday each month from 11.30am – 1.30pm, at Red Café, Phoenix Centre, Farrington Avenue, Bushey, WD23 3DG.


Monday 7th – Thursday 10th April – Easter Holiday Activity Camp

A 4-day Holiday Activity Camp at Ashfield Junior School, The Old School House, School Lane, Bushey, WD23 1SR. For all children from the local area aged 5-11 years. Including athletics, basketball, board games, dodgeball, football, golf, hockey, netball and more. Monday 7th – Thursday 10th April from 9am – 4pm.


Tuesday 8th April – Cuppa and Catch Up

Wednesday 9th April – Walking Group

Join Bushey Library, Sparrows Herne, WD23 1FA, for their new monthly themed walking group on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 2pm. You can join in with the theme as much or as little as you want or just come along for a stroll and a chat.


Wednesday 16th April – Easter Egg Hunt

Come and join Park Events Herts a fun-filled Easter Egg Hunt at Bushey Rose Garden, High Street, Bushey, WD23 3HH. Bring your family and friends for a day of excitement as you search the park for hidden letters and pictures to spell an Easter word. This in-person event promises lots of laughter and joy as you race to find your letters. Make sure to bring you clue sheet back to them with the Easter word to get your sweet treat prize. Each hunt costs £2.50 and can be paid for at the ParkEvents Tent, that is where you can get you Clue Sheet to fill out for a prize, remember they are card only. Have fun at this Children’s Easter Egg Hunt at Reveley Lodge, 88 Elstree Road, Bushey, WD23 4GL. Hunt for chocolate eggs in their two and a half acre garden (ages 4-12) and there is a separate easter egg scramble for age three and under. Come along with your home-made or home-decorated Easter Bonnet  and enter their competition. There are refreshments and the children can make Easter crafts for their doting parents and grandparents (small extra charge). Easter Trail at Bushey King George Recreation Ground on Saturday 19th April from 11am – 1pm. An egg-citing event filled with games, treats, and family fun.


Come along to the coolest disco in town with a playlist of the latest hits and timeless classics that will get everyone on their feet, from the tiniest tots, disco divas and dancing dads to the grooviest grandparents. There will also be a colouring station to unleash the kids’ creativity, and for little ones who want extra sparkle and glow, there will be glitter tattoos and glow sticks (for an additional charge). You will need to pop in and put your child’s name down for this Free event. If by beginning of April they have spare spaces then the spaces will go to grandchildren of members. Monday 26th May – Family Magic and Comedy Show

This show is has been specifically designed for families and is suitable for all ages. It will leave the younger ones amazed and the older ones thinking “How did he do that?!” This show will will contain comedy, magic, illusions and most importantly Audience Participation.
