Wednesday 26th March – Family Fun

Fun sessions with a wide range of activities for you and your children to play together, meet other local families and the Family Centre team. As well as lots for Under 5’s to enjoy, there will be activities for siblings up to the age of 8. £2.50 per family pay on the day drop in. Wednesdays from 10.30am – 12 noon. Pop down to Borehamwood library, 96 Shenley Road, Borehamwood WD6 1EB, on Wednesday 26th March from 10.30am – 12.30pm, to have a chat with the community enforcement officers about any concerns you may have.


Wednesday 26th March – Home Fire Safety Talk

Come along to Oakmere Library, High Street, Potters Bar, EN6 5BZ, for this Home Fire Safety Talk on Wednesday 26th March from 2pm. Free talk by Blue Watch where you can pick up tips to help keep you safe.


Thursday 27th March – Herts and Art

Thursday 27th March – Storytime

Thursday 27th March – IT Champion

IT Champions offer one-to-one support, problem-solving, and online safety advice for users of the library computers and WiFi. Every Thursday from 2pm – 4pm, at Borehamwood Library, 96 Shenley Road, Borehamwood, WD6 1EB.


Thursday 27th March – Knit and Natter

Free knitting session in a friendly relaxed environment. All abilities and ages welcome. Thursdays from 3pm – 5pm, at Radlett Library, 1 Aldenham Avenue, Radlett, WD7 8HL


Friday 28th March – Creative Community Cafes

Creative Community Cafes are open to you in Borehamwood and Radlett for crafting with free refreshments. Bring your current project, meet new friends with similar interests, and chat about your hobbies. At Organ Hall, 37 Bairstow Close, Borehamwood, WD6 4TB, on Fridays from 10am – 2pm. At various other locations during the week.


Friday 28th March – Health Walks

Leaving from Oakmere Library, High Street, Potters Bar, EN6 5BZ, you will go for a gentle walk for approx. 30-40 mins and then head back to the library for a cuppa afterwards. Every Friday from 11am – 1pm, until the end of April.


Saturday 29th March – Parkplay

ParkPlay is a national project that runs every Saturday from 10am – 12 noon. and is completely free to attend. They aim to encourage families to participate together across generations and get involved in game activities. All their games are inclusive and can be played across a range of ages in a way that keeps thing safe and most importantly fun for all the family. There are no age restrictions to any of their projects but say if they can walk, they can play. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Saturday 29th March – Bi-Pola Sponsored Walk

Join The Rotary Club of the Studios and Elstree and Borehamwood for this Bi-Pola 5km sponsored walk to raise vital funds for Bipolar UK. Tuesday 1st April – Baby Group

Meet other families with young babies in a supportive, stimulating and friendly environment. During the 90 minute session there will be time for babies to play, discover more about their development and support your wellbeing as a new parent. £1.50 per family drop in pay on the day. Tuesday 1st April – Herts Musical Memories

Herts Musical Memories has launched this group delivering vibrant signing sessions for people living with dementia and their carers in Borehamwood. Sessions take place on Tuesdays from 11.30am – 1pm at Maxwell Park Community Centre, Maxwell Road, Borehamwood WDG 1JJ.


Wednesday 2nd April – CreativiTEA

CreativiTEA is a craft group at Oakmere Library, High Street, Potters Bar, EN6 5BZ. Meeting the first Wednesday of every month from 1pm. Bring your own craft/materials and enjoy a cuppa and a chat.


Thursday 3rd April – Alzheimer’s Society Information Drop-In

Alzheimer’s Society is hosting monthly Information Drop-In sessions for anyone who is experiencing memory loss, concerns about dementia, post diagnostic support for dementia and more. The sessions will take place at the Maxwell Community Centre, Maxwell Road, Borehamwood, WD6 1JJ, on the first Thursday of each month from 10am – 12 noon. You can expect a listening ear, advice, literature, information, signposting and more.

Thursday 17th April – Easter Egg Hunt

Come and join Park Events Herts a fun-filled Easter Egg Hunt at Aberford Park, Brook Road, Borehamwood, WD6 5HQ. Bring your family and friends for a day of excitement as you search the park for hidden letters and pictures to spell an Easter word. This in-person event promises lots of laughter and joy as you race to find your letters. Make sure to bring you clue sheet back to them with the Easter word to get your sweet treat prize. Each hunt costs £2.50 and can be paid for at the ParkEvents Tent, that is where you can get you Clue Sheet to fill out for a prize, remember they are card only. Sunday 27th April – Farmers and Craft Market

The Town Council runs a monthly Farmers’ and Craft Market on the 4th Sunday of each month from 10am – 2pm, at Brook Road Car Park, Borehamwood, WD6 5HQ. A mixture of stalls including fresh fruit & vegetables, meats, breads, cheeses, crafts, gifts and other exciting products from local small businesses.


Thursday 8th May – VE Day 80th Anniversary Beacon Lighting

Join Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council for this VE Day 80th Anniversary Beacon Lighting ceremony. Entertainment from 8.30pm and beacon lighting at 9.30pm.


Tuesday 13th May – Hertfordshire’s Notorious Witches

In this talk they explore the lives and cases of some of the county’s most notorious witches, from Jane Wenham, one of the last people to be condemned to death for witchcraft in the country, to Joan of Navarre, Queen of England. Saturday 28th June – Hertfordshire Big Band

The Hertfordshire Big Band return to Shenley’s Walled Garden, Shenley, Radlett, WD7 9DW. Gather the family and friends and bring a picnic for an afternoon of big band jazz. From the giants of the 1940s, through to modern-day big band music, they will be performing a varied and contemporary repertoire throughout the afternoon, covering everything from swing to Latin to funk. Sunday 6th July – Shenley Village Fete

Experience the thrill of a traditional village show at the Shenley Village Fete. Enjoy a day filled with fun, games, food, and family-friendly entertainment. Immerse yourself in the local community spirit as you explore the various stalls and activities. The Fete is in Harris Lane Playing Field, Radlett, which is next to Harris Lane, off London Road, the main road through the village. Thursday 11th September – Paul Zerdin: Jaw Drop Tour


Get ready for a night of laughter and jaw-dropping entertainment with the Paul Zerdin. As a former America’s Got Talent winner, Paul promises an evening of top-notch stand-up comedy and ventriloquism, including his famous human dummy routine with an exciting new twist.
