Sunday 22nd December – Farmers and Craft Market
The Town Council runs a monthly Farmers’ and Craft Market on the 4th Sunday of each month from 10am – 2pm, at Brook Road Car Park, Borehamwood, WD6 5HQ. A mixture of stalls including fresh fruit & vegetables, meats, breads, cheeses, crafts, gifts and other exciting products from local small businesses.
Sunday 22nd December – Carol Service
A traditional service of Christmas carols and readings followed by mulled wine and mince pies. Sunday 22nd December from 5pm – 6pm, at St Mary the Virgin and All Saints, The Walk, Potters Bar EN6 1QQ.

Monday 23rd December – Jump In Elstree SEN
Everyone should be able to experience the joy of bouncing in an environment they feel comfortable in. Jump In SEN sessions are perfect for autism groups and for parents looking for activities in a calmer environment. These sessions are capped (less people), no music and reduced lighting to avoid glare. Every Monday until at least the end of March 2025 from 6pm – 7pm. ParkPlay is a national project that runs every Saturday from 10am – 12 noon. and is completely free to attend. They aim to encourage families to participate together across generations and get involved in game activities. All their games are inclusive and can be played across a range of ages in a way that keeps thing safe and most importantly fun for all the family. There are no age restrictions to any of their projects but say if they can walk, they can play. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Thursday 2nd January – Alzheimer’s Society Information Drop-In
Alzheimer’s Society is hosting monthly Information Drop-In sessions for anyone who is experiencing memory loss, concerns about dementia, post diagnostic support for dementia and more. The sessions will take place at the Maxwell Community Centre, Maxwell Road, Borehamwood, WD6 1JJ, on the first Thursday of each month from 10am – 12 noon. You can expect a listening ear, advice, literature, information, signposting and more.

Saturday 25th January – Gulls Galore
As light begins to fade this time of year, the open water attracts thousands and thousands of gulls of different species, this is your chance to see the spectacle in action in a private nature reserve. Join Wildlife Officer Josh and local experts to learn why they come here and how to tell which gull is which (they are not all ‘seagulls’). The event will include a tour of part of the reserve, before you settle down to watch the spectacle with a cup of hot chocolate. Bring binoculars or a field telescope if you have them and Josh will also have a telescope you can make use of. They will also look for other wetland birds over the water.
