Tuesday 21st May – Compassionate Cafe

A space for local people who have been affected by bereavement or any kind of loss to meet others by coming together for a cuppa and a chat. Each session is run by volunteers who are on hand to welcome and speak to attendees, they are an informal structure, guided by the needs of the people attending. Every third Tuesday from 9.15am – 12.15pm. At West Watford Free Church, Tolpits Lane, Watford, WD18 6NU.

Saturday 1st June –  Volunteers Fair

Looking to give back to the community? Come along to this Volunteers Fair and meet some amazing charities and communities groups who you could get involved with. There will be a wide range organisations from across Watford in attendance, from regular volunteering opportunities such as gardening and driving to trustee roles, there will be all sorts of different ways for you to get involved and contribute to positive change in the community. Saturday 1st June from 9am – 3pm. At Atria Watford, outside Puttershack.


Saturday 1st June –  Watford Comic Con

This will be a great day for families, sci-fi collectors, fans, and every other kind of Comic Con Fan. There is lots to see and do, including out of this world displays and props, traders selling out of this world collections, meet celebrities from TV and the movies! For those that like cosplay, there will be a wide array of cosplayers on arrival, fans attending are invited to dress up as your favourite TV, Film or other fictional character and be ready to compete in our cosplay competitions. Saturday 8th June – Great Big Green Day

Join Random Cafe, 24a Garsmouth Way, Watford, WD25 9DR, on Saturday 8th June from 11am – 3pm for their Great Big Green Day.

Sunday 9th June – Green Festival

This is part of the South-West Hertfordshire Great Big Green Week event, in Watford High Street. On Sunday 9th June, you will find pop-ups from 20+ local businesses, all with an eco-friendly theme. There will also be tasty food and sensational music from local charity, Electric Umbrella. Make sure you save the date, come along and show some love to your local environment.

The North London Guitar Show is on Sunday 9th June from 10am – 3pm, at Watford Leisure Centre Horseshoe Lane, Garston, WD25 7HH. Buy-Sell-Trade Guitars and Accessories, Vintage, new and pre-owned guitars, guitar builders, trade and private sellers. Tuesday 11th June – Craft Group

St Peters Church, Bushey Mill Lane, Watford, WD24 7PE, have a craft group that meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 10am in the hall. Do come along and join this creative community. Next 9th July.


Saturday 15th June – Watford Pride Picnic

Free event, bring your own food and join the entertainment. Saturday 15th June from 12 noon – 5pm. At Watford Heath, Watford, WD19 4EU. Music on the lawn, poetry reading, drinks from the pub nearby, just follow the Yellow Brick road to the Load of Hay.


Thursday 20th June – Compassionate Cafe

This warm and welcoming space is open to anyone who has experienced the pain of bereavement or any other type of loss. It provides a safe environment for individuals to come together, have a friendly chat, and connect with others who may share similar experiences. They invite you to join them on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 10am to 11.30am. At Random Café, 24a Garsmouth Way, Watford, WD25 9DR.


Sunday 30th June – Butterfly Conservation 

A free led walk in Cassiobury Park, by a members of Butterfly Conservation Herts and Middlesex branch. On Sunday 30th June from 2pm – 4pm, Annual butterfly walk into Whippendell Woods to look for White Admiral and other species. Meet at Langley Way entrance at 2pm.


Sunday 14th July – Family Fun Day

Games and entertainment for the whole family, with Live music, Arts and Crafts, food and more. Sunday 14th July from 1pm – 5pm. All covered for just £1 per Adult and 50p per child. At Holywell Primary School, Tolpits Lane, Watford, WD18 6LL.


Saturday 27th July – TrackPlay

A fun and entertaining time for kids who love trains. With over 500 feet of Track and over 100 Thomas and his friends trains to choose from. Kids will be raving about the experience for a long time .
