Saturday 21st June – Hatfield Community Day
Hatfield Town Council are excited to be hosting another fun-filled Community Day on Saturday 21st June. There will be a variety of stalls, performers, musicians and more filling White Lion Square.
Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd June – Bumps, Babies and Tots Show
A celebration of family, parenting, and everything in between. Taking place at the Hatfield Galleria Shopping Outlet, Comet Way, Hatfield, AL10 0XR, on Saturday and Sunday 21st and 22nd of June from 11am – 4pm. This upcoming event is the ultimate destination for expectant parents, new families, and caregivers looking for inspiration, products, and support. Colouring Club for adults at Hatfield Library, White Lion Square, Hatfield, AL10 0LD. Materials supplied or bring your own. Drop in, no need to book. Every Wednesday from 1pm – 3pm.
Saturday 28th June – Summer Fun
Join Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council and Hatfield Town Centre, for a Hawaii-themed family fun day in the heart of Hatfield Town Centre. Bring the family, dress in your brightest summer gear, and get ready for a fun-filled day bursting with colour, music, and summer vibes. With Face painting, Mini-disco, Bubble sessions, mini-foam machine, Hawaiian necklaces, Stickers and medals for the kids. Saturday 28th June from 10am – 3pm.
Monday 7th July – Quiz Night
These monthly quiz nights are held on the first Monday of every month from 8pm, at The Red Lion, 88 Great North Road, Hatfield, AL9 5EU. With several rounds of trivia and a picture round, their quiz master will get your brains itching. Teams are a maximum of 6. Booking is not essential but is advised to avoid disappointment
Tuesday 8th July – SEND Walk-in Advice
This is a free walk-in service. No appointment necessary. At Potential Kids Training Room, Old Management Suite, The Galleria Outlet Centre, Comet Way, Hatfield, AL10 0XR. The greeter is located next to the customer service desk at the top of the escalators on the first floor, near to Marks and Spencer and Clarks. Tuesday 8th July from 10.30am – 12.30pm, doors close 30 minutes before the advice centre.
Saturday 12th July – Science Dome
Get ready to spark your curiosity at this science event in Hatfield Town Centre. Enjoy two exciting workshops with performers, packed with mind-blowing experiments and interactive learning. Each 25 minute show is designed to entertain and inspire, with space for up to 30 children per session. Saturday 12th July from 10.30am – 3.30pm.
Saturday 26th July – Teddy Bears Picnic
Bring your favourite teddy and join Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council for a Teddy Bears Picnic at White Lion Square, Hatfield Town Centre. Enjoy a summers day in Hatfield Town Centre with their storyteller and snap a memorable photo at the Paddington Bear photo opportunity. Parents and guardians are encouraged to bring mats/blankets and a packed lunch, while little ones should bring their beloved teddies for a day of cuddly fun. Saturday 26th July from 11am – 2pm.

A wonderful weekend of creativity at this Summer Craft Fair on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July from 10am – 4pm. Explore a fantastic selection of stalls from talented local artists and crafters, offering a beautiful range of handmade goodies, unique gifts, and artisan crafts. From handcrafted jewellery and home décor to delicious homemade treats, there is something for everyone. At Dutch Marketplace, Great North Road, Brookmans Park, AL9 6ND. Saturday 13th September – Hatfield House Firework Champions
Prepare for an unforgettable night at the iconic Firework Champions event at Hatfield House, Hatfield AL9 5HX. Watch three of the UK’s top firework companies go head-to-head, lighting up the night sky with breath-taking displays set to music. Each team will showcase their unique artistry and choreography, competing to win the audience’s vote for the best show of the night.
The evening features: 4 Spectacular Firework Displays – 3 dazzling competition displays plus a larger grand finale. Drone Show – An exclusive display by DroneSwarm. Music, Food, and Family Fun – Enjoy a festive atmosphere with delicious food stalls, a full bar, and entertainment for all ages. Saturday 1st November – Firework Night
Essendon Country Club, Bedwell Avenue, Essendon, Hatfield, AL9 6HN, will be hosting their 2025 Firework Night on Saturday 1st November. Gates will be open at 4pm and the firework display will be at around 6.30pm. Full details and tickets will be released nearer to the time.
