Tuesday 15th September – Jigsaw and Cards

Drop in for a chat, make new friends over tea and biscuits and join in the activities.  They have a large selection of jigsaws or play a game of cards. All welcome, no booking needed. At Buntingford Library, High Street, Buntingford, SG9 9AE. Tuesdays from 10.30am – 12.30pm.


Wednesday 16th September – Royston Market

Every Wednesday and Saturday. Fruit, veg, fresh fish, butchers, bread, cheeses and takeaway food. Plus fashion, jewellery, giftware and much more. At Market Square, Market Hill, Royston, SG8 9JS.


Wednesday 16th September – Chatty Cafe

The ‘Chatter and Natter table’ is a wonderful way of encouraging people of all ages to talk to others. Do come along and sit for a chat. Wednesdays from 10am – 11.30am. At The Buntingford Coffee Shop, High Street, Buntingford, SG9 9AE.


Wednesday 16th September – Walking Football

Come and join this friendly Walking football Group on Wednesday mornings from 11am – 12 noon at Coombes Community Centre, Burns Road, Royston, SG8 5PT. £5 per session. First session free. Sunday 20th September – Junior Parkrun

A free, fun, and friendly weekly 2k event for juniors 4-14 year olds. The event takes place at Norfolk Road Playing Fields, Bowling Green Lane, Buntingford, SG9 9TA. Every Sunday from 9am, every week they grab a post parkrun coffee at Buntingford Coffee Shop. For further information click here

Discover local authors, explore new worlds at this Royston book fair on Saturday 26th September from 12 noon – 4pm. At Royston Parish Church, Royston.


Sunday 4th October – Craft Fair

Pop along for some unique crafts and gift ideas. First Sunday of the month from 10am – 2pm. At Market Hill Rooms Fish Hill, Royston, SG8 9JL.


Sunday 4th October – Afternoon Musical Bingo

Royston Town Council is delighted to invite residents aged 60+ from Royston and the surrounding villages to a free Afternoon of Musical Bingo at Royston Town Hall, Melbourn Street, Royston, SG8 7DA. Join them on Sunday 4th October from 2pm – 4pm, for familiar tunes, refreshments, prizes, and plenty of laughs along the way. Wednesday 7th October – Gardening Club

Gardening Club at The Woodman Inn, Nuthampstead, Royston, SG8 8NB, and grow your passion for plants in a welcoming, friendly community. Everybody welcome whether you are a seasoned gardener or just getting started. Friday 6th November – Slipper Swap

Slipper Swap events prevent slips and trips by picking up free slippers and getting lots of advice about staying safe and well in your home. You can pick up free anti-slip slippers, find out about local social groups and clubs you might enjoy, get advice from occupational therapists and other event partners, and book a Home Fire Safety visit with the Fire Service. Saturday 7th November – Farmers and Gift Market

Come along for a magical day at this Christmas Farmers and Gift Market, where the festive spirit comes alive. With over 35 unique artisan stalls, you will discover handcrafted gifts and delicious local produce you will not find on the high street. Saturday 7th November from 10am – 3pm, at Seth Ward Community Centre, Buntingford, SG9 9SG.


Sunday 22nd November – Christmas Fayre

The King James Academy, Garden Walk, Royston, SG8 7JH, Christmas Fayre is on Sunday 22nd November from 11am – 3pm, with stalls, music, refreshments and more.

Monday 4th January – Baby Rhyme Time

These fun, half hour sessions of songs and rhymes are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are a great opportunity for you to meet other families too, Baby Rhyme Time is free although donations are welcome. No booking required. For the comfort and safety of families we may have to limit numbers so entry to a session cannot be guaranteed.
