Tuesday 21st May – Nattercraft

Come and have a chat and a laugh whilst getting stuck into a craft or activity. You can bring your own activity/craft or get stuck in with ones provided. Tuesdays from 10am – 12 noon.


Tuesday 21st May – Baby Rhyme Time

These fun, half hour sessions of songs and rhymes are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are an opportunity for you to meet other families too. Every Tuesday at 10.30am – 11am. At Croxley Green Library, Barton Way, Croxley Green, WD3 3HB.


Tuesday 21st May – First Aid for Babies

Baby and Child First Aid course with a trainer from award winning Daisy First Aid who will bring models so you can have a go at CPR etc. Numbers will be limited to give you plenty of chance to ask questions in this three hour session. Wednesday 22nd May – Back To Netball

Back to netball sessions are coach led and cover basic skill development and court play. The emphasis of these sessions is on learning new skills and having fun playing Netball with friends. Every Wednesday from 8pm – 9pm during term time, at St Clement Danes School, Chenies Road, Chorleywood, WD3 6EW. To book click here


Thursday 23rd May – Morning Birding Walk

A 4km walk through the lovely Chess Valley, hoping to see herons, egrets, blackcaps and jays. The event is free but a voluntary donation of £2 per person is suggested. At Rickmansworth WD3 1AT. To find the car park, look for the Miller and Carter sign on the Rickmansworth Road and turn into it, keeping left to head past the adventure playground to the car park. They will then follow the beautiful Chess Valley northwards through a variety of habitats and back to the car park. The walk is flat, but it could be muddy. Thursday 23rd May from 9.30am. Thursday 23rd May – Page One

Wands at the ready, Page One is starting again in May, at Rickmansworth Library, High Street, WD3 1EH. Four sessions, every Thursday from 4pm – 5pm. For 7-11 year olds, all things Harry Potter. Book at the Library or call 0300 123 4049.


Friday 24th May – Knit and Natter

The group is for all levels of knitters/crocheters alike, and is free to attend. Just bring your needles and yarn and join in the chat around the table. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided midway through the session, no booking is required, but spaces are limited. Every Friday from 10am – 12 noon. Friday 24th May – Croxfest Music Quiz

Help fund Croxfest while having a great night at this annual fundraiser quiz. Friday 24th May from 7pm, at Croxley Green Community Club, Community Way, Croxley Green, Rickmansworth, WD3 3SU.


Saturday 25th May – Rickmansworth Parkrun

A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate, every Saturday at 9am. The event takes place at Rickmansworth Aquadrome, Frogmoor Lane, Rickmansworth, WD3 1NB. For further information click here


Saturday 25th – Monday 27th May – The Bedford Fringe

Join the Bedford Fringe at The Bedford Arms, Rickmansworth, with live music, garden games, an outdoor bar and BBQ, this is the perfect way to enjoy your bank holiday weekend with family and friends.


Monday 27th May – Dog Show

A wonderful family day out for you and your four legged companions. Food will be available on site. Tea Room open serving delicious tea and cake. Registration starts at 1pm, many different classes, including fastest Bonio eater, Gorgeous Gal, Handsome Fella, Best Rescue, Cutest Puppy, Best trick and a special prize for most distinguished veteran. Tuesday 28th May – Kings, Queens and Quills

Kings, Queens and Quills, discover how laws were made and make your own ‘law’ with a quill pen. Tuesday 28th May from 10.30am, at Rickmansworth Library, High Street, WD3 1EH. Book at the library.


Thursday 30th May – The Imperial Airship

Join colleagues at Rickmansworth Library, High Street, Rickmansworth WD3 1EH, who will be hosting a talk about Britain’s largest aircraft. On Thursday 30th May from 6.30pm – 7.45pm. Book at the library.


Saturday 1st June – Saturday Storytime

Thursday 6th June – 80th Anniversary of D-Day 

Batchworth Community Council, supported by their friends at Northwood Headquarters. Invite you to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of D-Day on Thursday 6th June from 7pm – 9.30pm. The event will close with a Sunset Ceremony followed by the Lighting of the D-Day 80 Beacon.

You are invited to join them to remember and give thanks to those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Come along and enjoy musical entertainment from the Northwood Headquarters Royal Navy Volunteer Band and Eastbury Farm Primary School Children’s Choir. Light refreshments will be provided by BCC, bring your own picnic or purchase hot food at the event.


Saturday 8th June – Chorleywood Concert on the Common

Music from the movies, musicals and some popular classics with Chorleywood Orchestra. Children’s entertainment, food and drink on site or bring your own picnic. Loads of fun for all the family. Wednesday 19th June – Memory Cafe

Pop in to share your experiences, make new connections and enjoy a range of activities and refreshments. Created in partnership with Home Instead, Burford House, Rickmansworth Road Rickmansworth, WD3 5SQ, offers a welcoming and supportive environment for residents and visitors living with Dementia, through their drop in memory cafe sessions. Wednesday 15th May from 10.30am – 12.30pm.


Sunday 23rd June – TrackPlay

A fun and entertaining time for kids who love trains. With over 500 feet of Track and over 100 Thomas and his friends trains to choose from. Kids will be raving about the experience for a long time . Saturday 13th July – Becoming Dad

Becoming Dad, an inclusive workshop for new and expectant fathers to help them to connect with and understand their babies’ needs. Supported by trained facilitators from the Family Support Service, this workshop offers expectant and new fathers an informal and relaxed space to talk through any thoughts and challenges dad to dad as they transition into parenthood. Sunday 21st July – Plant Fair

Chenies Manor House annual plant fair hosting over 80 specialist growers and nurseries and local artisan stalls. A wonderful day to browse amongst expert horticulturalists, garden items and so much more. Lunch is available and Tea is served in the Manor gardens or their Garden Room. Friday 26th July – Pop-Up Fridays
