Wednesday 22nd May – Toy Library

Thursday 23rd May – Games Night

Join The Green Man, Leverstock Green Road, Hemel Hempstead, HP3 8QE, for a night of fun and games Their Board Games Night is the perfect opportunity to gather with friends, old and new, and indulge in some friendly competition.

Get ready to roll the dice, strategize, and outwit your opponents as they provide a wide selection of board games for you to choose from. Whether you’re a seasoned gamer or just looking for a casual evening of entertainment, there’s something for everyone. Saturday 25th May – Gadebridge Parkrun

Saturday 25th – Monday 27th May – Boxmoor’s Canal Weekend 

Fishery Wharf Café will play host to a weekend of live music alongside the colourful Herts Roving Canal Traders three-day floating boat market, situated between Fishery Lock and Old Fishery Lane Bridge. Come along to listen to the music, sample the delicious café food and freshly made to order pizza, enjoy a drink from their licensed bar and stroll along the canal, soaking up the colour’ and atmosphere of the 3 day floating market as you peruse and purchase some beautiful gifts and handmade items.


Sunday 26th May – Chatty Table

The Old Town Artichoke, 55 High Street, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 3AF, have joined The Chatty Café Scheme the UK’s leading non-profit organisation tackling loneliness. Face to face meet ups where venues offer Chatter and Natter tables, where customers can get together and chat. Many tables are hosted by Chatty Table Volunteers. Come and support this from Tuesday – Sunday 9am – 4pm.


Friday 31st May – Life Drawing

Regular Life Drawing session at the stunning Boxmoor Trust Centre, London Road, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 2RE. Life model, friendly vibe, everyone welcome. Please bring along your own materials, especially charcoal, they love charcoal! Board and paper essential, any other materials are completely up to you. Sessions have a really juicy mix of abilities and styles, it’s a great learning environment, sessions are suitable for all abilities and experience. Friday 26th April from 10am. Cost is £15, payment on the day, they are unable to take card payments. Next 28th June, 26th July.

Sunday 2nd June – Hemel Old Town Market

This vibrant and popular market is held on the first Sunday of every month from 11am – 3pm. The market stalls will be located in St Marys Square, Under the Arches next to The Old Town Hall, in St Mary’s Church Hall and on the grassy area surrounding St Marys Church. 

Dacorum Borough Council restrict the traffic on market day so the High Street is closed to traffic between 10am – 4pm. If you are a blue badge holder, please show this to the gate operatives and they will allow you access. Pedestrian access to the market is unrestricted. There are plenty of car parks within a 2 minute walk of the market grounds. The public toilets in the High Street and in St Mary’s Church Hall will be open on the day.


Monday 3rd June – Learning Disability Football

Inclusive United’s learning disability daytime football sessions are for young adults aged 18 to 25 years, with mild learning disabilities, SEN (special educational needs) or additional needs. Participants will be able to play in a safe, inclusive and fun environment, develop their football skills and build their confidence.

Participants will train for up to one hour and for the last half hour of the session there is time for participants to meet new friends and socialise, play pool, table tennis in the social hub. Tuesday 4th June – Introduction to Solid Foods Workshop

It is recommended to introduce solid foods to your baby around 6 months. Join us when your baby is 4-6 months old so you can prepare early, know the signs your baby is ready for food and get information in line with NHS guidelines as you prepare for this exciting next stage. Tuesday 11th June – Chess Night

Come join Fishery Wharf Cafe, Fishery Lock, Fishery Road, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 1NA, for an evening of Chess, bring a board or just bring yourself and join in on a game, All levels of play are welcome. Drop in for Chess or other games from their cafe games cupboard every second Tuesday of the month from 6pm -10pm. The bar will be open for hot drinks and cakes, beers wine etc.

Friday 21st June – Street Food Event

Come and taste some fabulous food and drink form around the world and made by local producers. A mixture of tasty delights are on offer including Caribbean Fusion, Lebanese/Mediterranean, tacos, pizza, sweet crepes, waffles and churros, plus expertly made coffee, award winning gin and a wonderful mobile bar. Saturday 23rd June – Afternoon Tea

Indulge in a delightful Afternoon Tea experience filled with savoury and sweet treats, all accompanied by bottomless tea and coffee. Choose between booking for a party of 2 or 4 people, making it the perfect opportunity to catch up with friends, celebrate a special occasion or simply treat yourself. Saturday 6th July – TrackPlay

A fun and entertaining time for kids who love trains. With over 500 feet of Track and over 100 Thomas and his friends trains to choose from. Kids will be raving about the experience for a long time . Baby Fair events are for expectant parents or parents of a child under 1 year, bringing together everything you need to give your baby the best start.
