Wednesday 22nd May – Meet and Compete Board Game Group

The group meet in the front area of Stevenage Central Library, Southgate, Stevenage, SG1 1HD, to play scrabble and other board games. Free drop-in event. Every Wednesday from 2pm – 3.30pm


Thursday 23rd May – Parent/Carer Support Group

Stevenage Parent/Carer Support Group. Talk about your child’s needs in an open, caring and non-judgemental environment with facilitator Lorraine. In person at The Phoenix Group, 2-6 The Hyde, Shephall, Stevenage, SG2 9SE. Thursday 23rd May from 10am – 12 noon. Saturday 25th May – Stevenage Indoor Market

If you have not recently visited Stevenage Indoor Market why not come and give them a try, you will be pleasantly surprised by the range and quality of goods and services on offer. At Stevenage Town Centre.


Sunday 26th May – Community Salsa Event

Come and join this free Community Salsa Event. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro, this event is perfect for anyone looking to meet new people and try a new dance if you have never done salsa dancing before. This Salsa Event promises great music, by guest DJ Technician playing salsa and bachata, alongside with your dance instructors on the day Courtney and Mel, and a welcoming atmosphere. Saturday 1st June – Roller Skating

Come and join Roller Start on Saturday 1st June from 3pm – 8pm at Event Island, Stevenage Town Centre. Try out roller skating, bring your own skates and join them for a Roller Disco 6pm – 8pm. Herts Roller Speed Team will be doing a demonstration of their speed skills.


Sunday 2nd June – TrackPlay

A fun and entertaining time for kids who love trains. With over 500 feet of Track and over 100 Thomas and his friends trains to choose from. Kids will be raving about the experience for a long time . Book a time slot to suit and then on the day sit back and enjoy a hot drink whilst the kids all have fun with trains. At Knebworth Village Hall, Knebworth SG3 6PD. To book click here


Monday 3rd June – Tea and Chat

Come and join this friendly group for good conversation and lots of laughs over a cuppa. They have a monthly speaker or activity, and chat and socialise on the weeks in between. No need to book, just drop in on the day. Free event, but donations are welcome. Mondays from 10.30am – 12 noon. At Stevenage Central Library, Southgate, Stevenage, SG1 1HD.


Monday 3rd June – IT Champions

IT Champions offer one-to-one support, problem-solving, and online safety advice for users of the library computers and WiFi. Every Monday from 2pm – 4pm. At Stevenage Central Library, Southgate, Stevenage, SG1 1HD.


Wednesday 5th June – Reading Friends

Join our Reading Friends group on the first Wednesday of every month from 10.30am – 11.45am. Meet people and make new friend, and chat about books, hobbies and interests over a hot drink. At Stevenage Central Library, Southgate, Stevenage, SG1 1HD.


Sunday 9th June – Stevenage Pride Day

A family friendly event celebrating diversity and inclusion in Stevenage with food and drink vendors and charity stalls. Sunday 9th June.


Saturday 15th June – Family Fun Day

Come along to this dementia café and meet like-minded members of the community. Enjoy an informal chat, share experiences and receive support. Saturday 22nd June – Becoming Dad

Becoming Dad is an inclusive workshop for new and expectant fathers to help them to connect with and understand their babies’ needs. Supported by trained facilitators from the Family Support Service, this workshop offers expectant and new fathers an informal and relaxed space to talk through any thoughts and challenges dad to dad as they transition into parenthood. Saturday 22nd June – Armed Forces Day

Join Stevenage Town Centre on Saturday 2nd June 22nd from 10am – 4pm, as they mark Armed Forces Day at Event Island, Stevenage, SG1 1BP. Live music kicks off at 10am with a marching band, followed by vintage singers at 11am, 12:30pm, and 2pm. Witness an awe-inspiring WW2 Spitfire. Learn life-saving CPR techniques with their demonstrations and the Royal Guard Stilt Walker appearances at 10.30am, 12 noon, 1.30pm and 3pm.


Sunday 23rd June – Dog Watch Doggy Day

After a year hiatus Dog Watch Doggie Day is back in a new location. St Nicholas Park, Pilgrims Way, Stevenage, SG1 4PJ. The usual silliness including fun dog show, dog agility, etc. The event now has free parking available too. Dog show starts around 12 noon.
